Does anyone know anything about Charib Inn?
How does it compare to the Belmar? Charib Inn is a lot less money.

Stayed at both for two weeks each. No comparison. We prefer the Belmar. There are tons of comments on both on this board, either would be a nice introduction to Bonaire. Both had good dive operations but differed in the physical layout and amenities. More value at Carib Inn, more upscale at Belmar, both similar in being quiet, on the water. Carib Inn is walkable to town, Belmar is closer to the southern shore dive sites. Neither has a restaurant/bar. More Dutch guests at Belmar, Carib Inn was all American when we were there. We are planning our return visit to Bonaire and have only been home six days. For sure the Belmar will be the repeat property! Enjoy!

First off Tom it's Carib Inn. They do not have nitrox and are a funky, homestyle kind of place. Bruce Bowker is a wiz at keeping your gear operational, he has great prices on gear, but if you are looking for fancy or semi fancy, Carib Inn ain't it. However, they do have a convenient dock right there, and are walking distance from town.
Never stayed at Belmar, looked at the property and room a couple of times, it's a bit pricey to me, but seems very nice. Too many children there when last we looked for my taste.

Tom,
I have stayed at Carib Inn twice now and will return again in January. As it was said above it is a quiet, homestyle kind of place. My room is always clean and neat. Staff is always frienly. Bruce's prices for gear are one of the best on the Island. He has great tee's too. Very good place to stay for my budget.

The Carib Inn has been our home-away-from-home for over ten years when we travel to Bonaire. Superior dive staff, clean accomodations (kitchen facilities if desired), on the waterfront, gazebo on the waterfront also (great place to relax and have a snack, read, or enjoy a drink...it's absolutely beautiful at sunset), within walking distance to town and restaurants. Has my vote. Carol
