Believe it or not, I cannot get Divi's web site to come up, and can't find a number to call them directly! Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Divi's phone number on island is 599-717-8285 and their fax number is 599-717-8238. Hope that helps!

Kathryn,

I'm guessing you'll be in Bonaire soon. We'll be there November 20, staying at the Divi Flamingo.

Bill

yes, Bill, we'll be in Aruba on the 6th, and then in Bonaire on the 10th. It's our first time, as I mentioned. Have you been at the Divi before? If not, I'll let you know how it goes!

This will be our 4th time at the Divi. Only 78 more days till we arrive. We have a timeshare, and I am looking forward to the trip. We'll be there for 2 short weeks.

Kathryn, where are you staying in ARuba? We also own a timeshare with Divi in ARuba at the Divi Village but we truly prefer our place in Bonaire. Aruba is much more modern and fancy, but we love Bonaire. We have not been back to Aruba since 1998 and really have no desire to return....once we set foot on Bonaire in 2000 that was it....we were hooked for life!

Rememeber...Bonaire is very different than Aruba in many positive ways. But also remember Bonaire does not have the fancy dancy resorts Aruba has.....but I don't think you will care once you get the "feel" of Bonaire and the wonderful things she has to offer you. It is a much, much more "natural" island than Aruba. Picture Aruba about 75 years ago and that is close to what Bonaire still is (minus the cars and the cell phones, etc! LOL).

Divi Flamingo Beach on Bonaire is not very fancy, but you should find it very accommodating, perfectly located and with a nice, intimate beach and outrageous snorkeling at your toes! Two restaurants, beauty parlor, spa for massages, etc., mini mart, two pools, dive shop, small casino and on and on. It is just not "fancy" as in a four or five star hotel/resort. I know you will be just fine! Carole

Jane Marie: You might want to contact Divi directly at the main/North Carolina location and/or at the Bonaire location, too. I am going to try and enclose the links for their sites.

Annette posted the local Bonaire phone numbers at the top of the page, but, if you do call Bonaire, please remember to dial "011" prior to the rest of the numbers or else you will not get thru to Bonaire.

Sometimes travel agents have access to timeshare units, too. You might want to contact Caradonna Caribbean Tours in Florida. I deal with Amy on ext. 114. That might be your best bet if you cannot get an answer out of Divi directly. If you do a "keyword search" with Caradonna in it, the links and phone numbers (toll free) will show up.

Here is my attempt at attaching the links and email address for the Divi locations:

http://www.diviresorts.com/movie.html

http://www.diviresorts.com/destinations/bonaire/overview.shtml

Bonaire email address: divibon@bonairelive.com

Divi Main email address: Divi_Resorts@lb.bcentral.com

Caradonna's email address:
info@caradonna.com

Caradonna's website link: http://www.caradonna.com/caradonna/

I hope this is helpful to you and you are able to access a unit at the Divi. Most of the timeshare units have been redone and are very nice. Good luck! Keep us posted. Ayo. Carole

Hi Carole,
I think you are right, once we get there we won't care about how fancy it is - we have a nice place booked in Aruba, so we'll get our "fancy" there.

As for when are we in Aruba? Well, we leave in about 8 hours! We will be sitting with our toes in the water by this time tomorrow. And I plan to take advantage of Divi's spa, and their casino, so I am happy that they have everything I want in one place!! We are soooo looking forward to it, my husband has been working overtime for the last year, and I am recovering from a broken ankle and surgery after we were hit on our motorcycle earlier in the year. A nice island getaway is just what we need.

Next time, from what everyone tells me here, we may skip Aruba and just do the Bonaire thing - as it's our first time, we didn't know, and the cruise leaves from Aruba, so we're going to spend time on both.

I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks to all for the great help!
- Kathryn
