We are planning to go to Bonaire for the first time in February next year. We don't know where to stay but here is a bit about us and perhaps you can recommend what might suit.
We want somewhere quiet but on the ocean's edge, we don't mind whether it is an appartment or a hotel but we don't really do big resorts. Mainly I want to snorkel straight from my room into the sea....and my husband is a windsurfer so he'll be happy anyway. It will also be my 50th birthday while we are there (if we can book for the right time) so would welcome suggestions as to what to do to celebrate, bearing in mind that my best thing is seeing wild life in its natural surroundings!

Plaza is the only place on Bonaire that comes near to being a 'resort', and Plaza is not anything like a Club Med, Sandals, or any of the other "all inclusive" resorts that you find on Jamaica or Hawaii.
