Good morning everyone. The kettle is on in the UK.
Tea, toast and jam anyone? I have lemon curd too. It is my mum and my dad's birthday today but they are in the US on holiday, Miami, heading for a cruise ship! They love having the same birthday but it was expensive for us kids when we were younger!
I'm off shopping this morning so see you later!
Julia

Oh Julia, yes please. Toast and lemon curd would suit me just fine.

bfast

And I'm just off to the market to get a few bits and bobs. See you all later.

mowing The sound of lawnmowers woke us up this morning - must be springtime. LOL With a few days of rain and then sunshine the grass has suddenly riz - most lawns are getting their first haircut of 2003 today.

lemon Good morning, Julia and Jenni! Lemon curd? I've seen it in specialty stores but it sounds of bit like Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet eating her curds and whey. I love lemon, so what's the story?

Hi everyone. It's not so hot over here today, a bit chilly and cloudy. I used to make my own lemon curd when the kiddies were small, and they used to love it. Trouble is, I have forgotten how to do it now. anything

Ha! Ha! Is this an appropriate day for me or what. LOL. Mine reads 179/105 Crikey, and that's on the meds. Annie B.

It's...

Blood Pressure Day
There is no ideal blood pressure reading, but there is a range of normal readings. Usually, a reading less than 140 over 90 means you don't need to worry. If either or both numbers are equal to or greater than 140 over 90 for an extended period of time, you have high blood pressure. This can be dangerous because it causes the heart to work extra hard. Check your's today! anything}

Lemon Curd
3oz Caster Sugar (75g)
The grated rind and juice of one very big lemon
2 large eggs
2oz unsalted butter (50g)

Grated lemon rind and sugar in one bowl.
Whisk lemon juice and eggs in another bowl and add to sugar mix.
Cut butter into little bits and add to bowl.
Put the bowl over pan of just simmering water and stir frequently until it thickens, about 20 mins.
Use for toast or as a cake filling or on ice cream.
Yummy, Yummy!
Shopping was sucessful today so I am a sunny bunny.

Bob, My brother gave me some Iris plants which grow in the garden pond. I have made a bog garden out of an old container and planted them in it. I only have to top it up with water once every 2 weeks or so to keep it soaked. I hope they grow as nice as the ones in your pix. Annie B. anything
