Today is "Liberty Soon Day"
p I wonder what it would be like to experience freedom for the first time? Ever? Could I even understand the concept? I think everyone wants to be free . .... o

Maybe this war will be over soon and everyone can go home.

Today is also "Margarite's Hair Day" I look forward to this day for weeks. I've had the same stylist for over 15 years. I remember when she was wild and single. Could even give a good haircut with a hangover. She remembers me when I was thin :-). She's become more punctual now that she has 3 girls and a husband. o

It's...

Zoo Lovers Day

It was about 1500 B.C. when Queen Hatshepsut of Egypt built the first zoo. Many private zoos were kept by rulers in Africa, India, and China between 1,000 and 400 B.C. - and a "school" zoo was built by the Greeks to study animal and plant life. But, modern zoos weren't developed until the 1400's when European explorers came to the New World. When they took strange animals back home with them, public display zoos were born.anything

And according to the message I got from Rusty( Thank You!) it is also International Feng Shui Awareness Day. I read a book on the subject once. All I remember is this..
Never build your house with the front door and your back door in a straight line . All your good luck would come in through the front door and go straight out the back door.
Also, for a more serene home environment, you should burn a red candle on the southernmost wall. o

And you should not hang a mirror on the wall above the bed. Should your spirit arise during the night whilst you sleep, it might see itself and become frightened. Would not make for a very restful night. I wonder what the rule is about mirrors on the ceiling?

zoo I love open, natural zoos, with breeding programs for endangered species. I spent thousands of hours at the local zoo when I was young, and learned so much from the animals and people there, but it was an animal warehouse - cement and bars and a stench that would bring tears to your eyes. I'm glad it's gone - closed down.

Hi Margarita, Hi Annie! It's Laundry Day in Clarksville. LOL laundry

It is also Buddha's Birthday!

mornin' guys and gals! going to be another sunny day in so cal today:-) wind has died down a bit it appears...here is my contribution to feng shui (from a book i bought a while back)

Use narcissus in e or se areas. It is a traditional symbol of good fortune for the year to follow. Narcissus bulbs are forced to bloom at the Chinese New Year.

Oh, and this one....DON'T have pictures of vases of peonies in your bedroom if you are already married...this flower will encourage your partner to stray or seek love interests outside your home...go check your bedroom walls gals!

ok, off to get ready for work now:-)

Rusty:

I can say that I'm lighter now than this time last year. I wouldn't recommend the "gall bladder removal diet", though. Very few things now agree with my system

Blech.

prin Princess, the little devil, stole a cotton rag BoxerBob left hanging on the grape arbor. We had a small flood under the kitchen sink while he was replacing the faucet this weekend and wound up soaking every spare rag in the house. The *puppy* grabbed what she could reach and dragged them all over the yard. Now they're lost, for the most part, in the snow. I guess I'll find them come SPRING!

butt Chardonnay - you bad dog. You said, "BUTT." Heh-heh.
