Good morning all. I got a couple of neat captures off the Eagle Cam (Eagle Cam).

Love the spread wing shot, almost believe she's flying. First egg should be hatching in a week.

I am so happy it is Pickle Day! The deli that delivers my lunch to work has pickles that are the best in the world..."Allen's Barrel Cured Pickles". I stock up on them so we have plenty for the weekends, too....bought ten (10!) on Friday so we would have a supply for the weekend. Can't buy them in the stores....sold to food retailers in huge quantities only. I have to make a deal with my buddies at the deli so I can buy them at a discounted rate in bulk from them, too! LOL. Hooked on Allen's pickles, for sure. I think I will go have a pickle right now.....Carole

pickle Carole - sounds like you like pickles like I like pickles! I like bread n' butter, garlic pickles, Kosher and Polish dills, sweet gherkins. The best thing about pickles, besides the crunch, is they're low-cal.

Stoplight, a lonely visitor.

mornin' gang...rusty, we turn our clocks ahead NEXT Saturday...is the UK on a different schedule? weird...bubbles told me about their party...i wanna go! waaaahhhh! oh and to last nights post about my "hot tottie":

ROTFLMAO Rusty (the wave file)! if you only knew! that reminds me of our celestial nav class (of which i still hate) cause of all the numbers...makes me dizzy...i graduated suma cum laude (BS), and with honors (4.0, M.Ed.) and obviously, i chose subjects that didn't involve much math! i'm gonna have to play that one for michael when he gets home! thank goodness john is a good teacher, catches all our mistakes:-)

maybe john will pop over to cc:-)

CECIL, i tried that link again today that you posted of the pics from the gulf war, and it says "you are not authorized to view this page" anyone else having problems loading that site?

dunce Cynde - I was magna cum laude (BS). I took was one Algebra course (slow class) with football players and senior citizens, who were much quicker to pick it up than I was. I managed to pass, but blew my 4.0 GPA away. Thank goodness BoxerBob does math. LOL

math I know what you mean, too, about the Celestial Nav class - I thought I was was going to love computer programming (way back in high school in Fortran) but once they got to math - a LOT of math - I just tuned the rest out and moved on to something else.

tree Same with a field biology course I took in college - there was so much stinkin' math to figure out how tall a tree was by measuring this and that and multiplying and then finding the ratio of blah, blah, blah. YUK! I loved identifying the trees - but counting them? Sheesh.

ouch rusty, you are making my head hurt!!! i had 2 math classes in college, "math for dummies...i.e. college algebra prep course" at San Diego State University, and the teacher was a pot head...we used to go to the pizza place after class and "reflect on life." LOL! Then i managed to pass the "college algebra" course with an A...still don't know how I managed that! Thank goodness Michael "gets it"...oh wait, HE is the one that talked me into taking this course! I do like the sextant part though. This wednesday we get to do our first star sightings at twilight:-)

Cnyde, unless I am mistaken, the UK does not switch to daylight savings time. The good thing for us East Coasters is that we will now be on the same time clock as Bonaire! Yay!!! More to watch on the webcams that way. Math....don't even go there.....not my forte', either! My GPA was slaughtered because of required math courses. My love was art and the ocean. In order to pursue Marine Biology I needed to be strong in math...maybe that's why I am a Claims Manager in a Risk Managment office now....oh well. I still have my photography to play with and the water to play in...that's what counts, I guess. Hope ya'll have a great weekend. We are expecting thunder storms here this afternoon and this evening....basically our first of the season. I just LOVE t storms as long as they are not too destructive (comes from growing up in Florida, I guess) but one of my kitties hightails it under the bed after the first clap of thunder...the other one is with me staring out the windows in fascination. Go figure! LOL. Ayo. Carole

Great site, Cecil! It's just mesmerizing to watch this beautiful creature sitting on its nest. I have passed the site on to most of my friends and their children to enjoy, too. Thanks a million for letting us in on this wonderful magical event. Carole

rain Hi Carole - I love the thunderstorms, too. We had a LOT of rain overnight. We were watching movies (Seven with Brad and Morgan, Kiss the Girls with Ashely and Morgan) and shut it off for a little while to listen to the rain pounding on the roof and the windowpanes.

waterfall I love rain! Especially when it's warm enough to walk in. Some summer nights I sneak out onto the patio after dark and stand there with my arms in the air and dream of being under a waterfall somewhere in the tropics!

eagle BTW - I call them Cecil's Eagles, but not three times fast. LOL

Rusty, I got robbed yesterday! Not one clap of thunder or bolt of lightning....tons of rain, however...flooding all over the place (flash). Today they are predicting SNOW! Go figure....we went from 72 degrees yesterday to the teens tonite....just when I thought it was safe to go back outside again.. I love to stand outside in the rain, too. It was more fun years ago when we didn't have to really worry about "what" was in the rainwater like I do today. Love the sound of rain on the roof, too. Wasn't Seven pretty intense? They were good together, Brad and Morgan. Ciao! Carole

Carole - I put off watching Seven for a year because it isn't really *my* kind of movie - but I had heard over and over that it was good - so I jumped in with both feet. Morgan is always good, Brad was kooky and right in character, and the bad guy was splendid. He's a *bonus*. They don't mention him on the video box.

I worry a bit about the rain and the snow, too. What a shame. Was it healthier when we were kids or were we just oblivious to the crud in the air?

Rusty, I think the rain "contents" were a little of both....we were young and oblivious and there were fewer pollutants involved, too. Oh well...we can still "hear" it safely, now, though! LOL. I don't eat snow any longer, however......Carole
