It's Harry Houdini Day 1

2

Houdini is the most famous magician in history. He was born Erik Weisz on March 24, 1874, in Budapest, Hungary - and 4 years old when his family emigrated to America. His worldwide fame came from making amazing escapes.

3 Early routines included getting out of straitjackets and handcuffs. He eventually performed an act where he was shackled with irons, placed in a box that was locked, roped, and weighted - and then submerged under water. Abracadabra!

book I'm still here - watching the cams and reading The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. We bought Black House, the sequel to it, so I'm trying to get up to speed. Last time I read The Talisman was in 1985. I'm enjoying it much more this time. Last time around I wasn't the fantasy fan I am today.

Annie, I'm guessing something in the puffer family - maybe a porcupinefish? The lower one seem puffed up - unless there are two fishes overlapping in the shot. Hard to tell from where I sit! LOL

Hi Folks!
Bob and I are back from our weekend in Amsterdam. We must apologise to all the Dutch BT'ers for our niece who has attempted to rid your lovely country of Chocomel in two days! We had great weather and are always so impressed with the hospitality. We live in the north east of England so it takes us less time to get to Amsterdam than it does to get to London. That's the reason we started to go to Bonaire! The travel connections were better!

I don't know if this one will come out right or not, but I thought is looked like an odd shaped fish. Maybe the porcupine again.

Thanks for putting my mum's name on the cake, Rusty. I'll have a go and then let you know if I can do it. And thanks for the birthday wishes - she'll be real chuffed when she sees them.
