Annie that is great news about Emma. I've been stressing the last few days about this. Very happy now.

One quick point about an earlier comment, the abundance of mammalary tissue does not assure gender. Qualifier, not from personal experience, I've heard stories.

I've been a busy little boy lately. I've been scaling up the learning curve on Photoshop. Some strange stuff in that package. This quest was started by Freddie and her Roatan pictures. I volunteered to try fixing the pictures where the subject was to far away and all the colors were lost.

Some of the pictures I took in the Keys had this problem, I felt I was fairly successful at fixing the colors and had a procedure to do it. Well... when I tried this on Freddie's pictures it made them worse. I did some research over on digitaldiver.net and now have a new procedure. It's pretty amazing and can almost fix a rainy day. You can not only get rid of the blue you can also fix backscatter.

Here's my first try at it. Here's a picture I've never posted of a young Hawksbill turtle taken while snorkling. He was to far away for the flash to help and there was lots of smooze in the water column.



After an hour or so of editing, here's the after.



An interesting point, notice the white spot on his shell. Actually it's a divot, my guess, he was wacked by a propeller.

No wonder I have been struggling. Ah well, I guess when we work out we'll be able to do it and it may even seem easy. :-)

I made the 'mess after the party' smaller by using photo plus 4. I didn;t use paint shop pro, and I tried with ACDsee and couldn;t work that either. photo plus is REAl easy, but doesn;t do lots of things.
