So, we've made it! We arrived mondaymorning after a spotless flight... Not so for the passengers on the return flight from Quito to Bonaire though. The toilet blew up, and some 160 people were stranded on the island (some still haven't left). I knew I shouldn't have eaten that spicy Indonesian food before leaving... Sorry KLM!
What can I say other than that it's great to be here. Still a bit unreal, but we're slowly getting into the rhythm. We have a lot of things to arrange of course and have already started looking for a home and transportation. Fortunately, we have some time for that.
Kitty has her first day at work today, just to get acquainted and then a couple of days more next week. We start working officially on Feb. 1st.
We woke up this morning with... rain! Hey, that's what I wanted to get away from! It only lasted for a couple of minutes though and now it's as sunny as ever. There's a cruiseship in port, the Mona Lisa, so tourists everywhere. It's the second we've seen as yesterday the Volendam was here.

As long as we're not fully settled yet you may see us posting on and off.
