It's 8:32 here in Ontario. My Husband is just getting up. It does feel great to do nothing but unfortunately I have some grocery shopping to do later :(. The stores are really busy now. And then in the afternoon we have his work Christmas Party to go to. How is the weather over there?

Hi everyone! Been so busy this week! I got very nearly all my Christmas shopping done and was feeling very smug when mother and father in law drop the bombshell that they had got a place in a sheltered accomodation bungalow and could I sell their House?!!! Bob can't help very much as he is working all through the holidays, including Christmas Day, so I expect I will cary on being very busy! Nice to have the cams to relax for a while.

Good morning, Clint. Very cool pix of the suckers, huh? Usually he hangs around longer than four shots - must have been just passing thru!

Julia, Is a "sheltered accomodation bungalow" like what you see on HOGAN'S HEROS? If so I know several persons I would pay to live ther!

29 and sunny this morning. going to hit 60 possably. The two wheeled car needs to be played with so probably drive it into town. Nice temps for full leathers.
I think Shiva is expecting first billing, or at least a raise. I think I herd her saying she was expecting a few more "clams" for posing. But she enjoys not being on the radio and not having to play "Yellow submarine" anymore, was making her turn green.

Well, the Country Squire (the 2 wheeled car with wood paneling) just got it's 100 mile jaunt. It was SO happy to get out, since it has been stuck in the garage for the last two months. I turned on the heater cranked up ZZ Top and went and picked up Chocolate from the Greenwood Bakers candy factory. I really don't like chocolate (would rather have a good dill pickle), but we have friends and relatives that die for Bakers chocolates, so it makes easy Christmas gifts. Get back home and now my fins are feeling left out, keep telling them their time is coming. May have to put them in the bathtub for a while just to shut them up.

Explanation of UK sheltered accomodation, mum and dad will be moving into a bungalow set round a green. Their bungalow will be one of about thirty and there is a warden available should they need emergency help.It is a local council arrangment. However they will run their own household and there are no organised activities or communal areas. Both are in poorish health so a smaller place will be better for them but they are pretty upset about moving as they have been in their present house all their married life, nearly 60 years now!

afternoon all...clint, glad to see you were able to ride your wagon without the mask and snorkle...cracked me up on the other thread! now, you really do need to get a profile pic so we can see just what you look like with your mask on as you drive down the road in your car:)

eileen, glad you will now have some free time:)

martin, where are my pictures?

maria, nice to see you again:)

michael and i have gotten into watching some classic movies this week...jimmy stewart in "anatomy of a murder." i am amazed with the "content" as it was filmed in the 1950's. there were some cities in the u.s. that refused to show it! then watched "flight of the phoenix" yesterday...man, that guy could act! martin sheen (a very young rebel without a cause martin sheen, what a hunk) is on with sissy spacek, but there are no comercials so i have no idea what the movie name is!

didn't rain on the boat parade last night...we got merlot (our boat) all decorated in lights and had a good time, i got a couple of pics, we will see how they came out. one boat was decked out with the simpsons, had the whole cast with barney on the bow!

julia, good luck:)

rusty, overcast but a great day today...gotta love southern california:)

eileen, he started at 16:48, and i just posted another one on the webcam thread and it is 17:02...14 minutes...boy, this guy could teach bouancy classes! the sand isn't stirred up, so you know he has been "hanging" all that time!

ok martin, i will be waiting patiently! we haven't done our bedroom, and michael still has to tile sarah's room. we were talking yesterday and he is going to finish those projects while he has the time now. scraping the ceilings is the worst! i don't know if you have this stuff over there, but in the 60's and 70's they sprayed this "popcorn" stuff on the cielings for insulation, but it is really ugly so we have scrapped all but 2 rooms in the house (bedroom is halfway done), it is a plaster material so you have to wet it, then scrape, then plaster over the whole thing to give it some texture...some of the houses in the 70's had asbestos in it, so folks had to scrape them to avoid asbestos poisoning when they found out that it was nasty stuff in the late 80's!

Well I am off to get ready for the party! The diver is unbelievable! I am still a mudpuppy (hopefully in the spring I will perfect my dad said that he will be my coach :))

Good Luck with the renos Cynde, we had to renovate our condo in the spring for resale and I did not enjoy it at all!
Have a great evening everyone!cookie
