It was July 25th 2009 that we had to help Boris cross over. Heart still feels like it is in a vise at times. Then other times, the tears are caused by happy memories, I try to hold onto those happy memories, they help.

Bouganvillea? That's a POTTED plant in Ohio! We are way too cold to have that be in the ground! Glad you're making dollars ladies.

Hugs, Tara. It's so hard to lose an old furbaby; I cried for days when we lost our golden, Max (17 years old). It wasn't any easier with our Aussie, Sydney (8). Don't look forward to the next one passing, but I can't imagine my life without that sweet, unconditional love!

Judy, I'm going to have to replant....it'll grow in the ground here, but we had too odd a winter and I think I've lost most of it. It always cracks me up to see it growing like a pest plant on Bonaire.

Tom, our worst snow here is something you wouldn't even notice there, but we're not equipped. I've said it before, but when you get black ice on a freeway around here, where drivers know nothing of it, it makes for pretty festive driving conditions...

Jim, I can't believe you have trouble understanding that - sounds like the queen's english to me.

Years ago, maybe early 80's, I lived for a while in Leland, MS, home to James "Son" Thomas. His health was not great and he would sit on his porch every evening. Some days we'd take a case of beer and go over there. Sometimes he'd play and sing for us, "Cairo Blues", "Catfish Blues", etc. Other times he'd tell some pretty fair stories.

Gonna be a shame when all the old bluesmen are gone.

French Fry SPAM Casserole

Ingredients:

* 1 (20-ounce) bag frozen French fry potatoes, thawed
* 2 ( ) cups shredded Cheddar cheese
* 2 cups sour cream
* 1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
* 1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® Classic, cubed
* 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
* 1/2 cup chopped green onions
* 1/2 cup finely crushed cornflakes

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. In large bowl, combine potatoes, cheese, sour cream and soup. Stir in SPAM® Classic, bell pepper and onions. Spoon into 13x9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with cornflakes.
3. Bake casserole 30 to 40 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

This sounds so yummy!
