I am deeply touch by all of you who responded to Jerry's illness.The avalanche of cards and hugs are making this difficult time more bearable,and all those healings vibes are working to make Jerry better.

I just said a rosary when I woke up today. I am not real religious, but I am now. I have to go pick up my mom today for some doctor visits. Her rosaries do work, and she has already said one. That is when he really came around. She will need to say another today.

Louise...my thoughts are with both of you. I recently went through this with regards to a friend's husband. It was several months, several surgeries, infections so severe that the CDC was called in, many of those "come now" phone calls, etc... Joe made it through all of it. I believe Jerry wants to be with you; which means, he will make it. Stay positive! We will all help you and send warm healing good thoughts.

If you get to the point where you are really afraid, contact me. I can share with you all we went through with Joe. It is amazing what a person can go through. Jerry is an amazing person. He will get better!

Louise, know that we are all pulling for you both with all our might. I think back so often and very fondly on the night we shared dinner at your house - it has gotten me through some bumps in the road. Now let us help the two of you over these bumps.

I am praying daily for things to turn around and go better for you both. Remember if you need us we are always here for you. BT has very big shoulders and can really lighten a burden.

When I see Cardinals in the yard, I always see them as good luck and good things will happen that day. There are so many cardinals out today!!! This is good. My Grandmother loved Cardinals and lived on Cardinal Lane...So Grandma is watching out for Jerry and giving him strength. I can't tell you how many times I have started writing letters and cards only to have to stop since my last e-mails to him went unanswered because he lost internet service. Your husband means more to me than some of my brothers by blood.

Jerry has passed along so much to me since we first met in person, without his even knowing it, but rather by his example, he has helped to teach me, what it is to truly be a man - a gentle man.

Thoughts again, and prayers. I'm afraid my faith has been sorely tested these last two weeks, as I've prayed several times a day for Jerry. I keep coming back to "Your will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven" None of us know His will, but I'm still praying that He'll keep Jerry with us.

I'm thinking we have all learned the lesson - life can be short - you never know when it will end for you or your loved one - and tell the people you love that you love them!

This came out of the blue for Jerry, and something can come out of the blue for all of us...................

O.K. Woke up to the sound of a single cardinal sitting right outside my bedroom window singing loudly and it's dark outside still, I am taking it as a really good sign. Now, he has lots of his friends singing with him.

Jerry is putting out a good fight. As the doctor said "he has run 10 marathon and he has 10 more to go" what ever that means.I am desperatly trying to remain hopefull, but sometime reality slap me in the face and I get so scared....
Today they are taking him in the O.R. to do an electrocardiogram as they cannot do it at the bedside because he is a high risk. He is still in ICU.They also talking him in radiology intervention to reacess his bile duct drain because his liver enzymes are very elevated.
At this point we need a miracle for Jerry.
Sorry I have not been posting but I am in a state of shock and this is so sureal to me that this is not really happening.
Jerry is beeing so brave for me.
I greatly appreciate the outpouring of love from BT towards Jerry, maybe that is what is keeping him going Thank you
