G'Day Elaine, Eileen, all ensuing sleepy-heads, and happy b-day Rasta!

3rd Monday here, in a row, storm warnings, high winds, rain, snow, freezing rain, and ocean surges. Some are still flooded from last Mon.

The roofers are busy right now, trying to beat the storm monster!

EWR terminal A is closed right now, suspicious pkg.

I think we're going to bring one of the big computers from the shop home since we won't be needing them there for much longer.

the screen on my laptop started dying a few weeks ago. it would just go dark so i'd close the lid and reopen it and it would work for a while then do it again. was hoping it was the switch or inverter but the computer shop said it was the lcd. it's worth fixing because it's got a heavy case to it and travels well. so, that's my christmas present to myself. how exciting.

Quick post here, my dad is o.k., well, for the most part, his car it totaled, both airbags deployed, he refuses to go to hospital, I think he is shock still, maybe later my bro can get him there. Good thing is he is alive.

Change of plans here big time, they were supposed to come for Christmas, but now no car, so I am gonna go pick them up from Amish country and bring 'em here for Christmas and drive them back either Monday or Tuesday afterwards.

Now, to get my rear in high gear to get 4 days of prepping down to two days.. TTYL and thanks for the well wishes and good thoughts. Appreciate it.
Metal can be replaced, dads can't..

Morning, guys. Debbie, I'm so glad your dad walked away, but I hope he decides to get checked out, just in case. So good of you to take on the extra driving to get them to you for Christmas.

We're between storms here, and right now, I can see across the bay, the first time in days.

Out of here to work....see ya...

:) Sfternoon, All!! :)

Happy Birthday, Rasta!!! :) :)

Got my three driveways shoveled this morning, and the girls spent a lot of time in the back yard. Amazing, they will play until they notice their 'audience' has gone off to do other things. Then, they just sit and wait, and watch for birds or squirrels.

You come back, and they greet you at the gate, and then away they go again!! Big circles and figure eights, around the yard, through the gardens, ambushing each other!!!

And now, sleeping. Ivy beside me, and I imagine, Holle on the couch.

:) Bill :)

Okay...got this in an email this morning and just have to share it...made me laugh right out loud :)

A husband and wife are sitting quietly in bed reading when the wife looks over and asks her husband the question....

WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"
HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"
WIFE: "Why not? Don't you like being married?"
HUSBAND: "Of course I do."
WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"
HUSBAND: "Okay, okay, I'd get married again."
WIFE: "You would?" (with a hurt look)
HUSBAND: (makes audible groan)
WIFE: "Would you live in our house?"
HUSBAND: "Sure, it's a great house."
WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"
WIFE: "Would you let her drive my car?"
HUSBAND: "Probably, it is almost new."
WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."
WIFE: "Would you give her my jewelry?"
HUSBAND: "No, I'm sure she'd want her own."
WIFE: "Would you take her golfing with you?
HUSBAND: "Yes, those are always good times."
WIFE: "Would she use my clubs?
HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."
WIFE: -- silence --
HUSBAND: "Dang."

Debbie - thoughts coming your way!

Stay safe everyone!!

We had Kedron's annual checkup this morning... Let's put it this way, she wasn't happy. The Dr gave her a sticker, and to show her anger, she threw it right back at her.

Oh, Kedron is healthy :).

More Monday humor ...

A women in her late 40's went to a plastic surgeon for a facelift.
The doctor told her of a new procedure called
"The Knob."

A small knob is implanted in the back of a woman's head and can be turned to tighten up the skin to produce the effect of a brand new facelift forever.

Of course, the woman wanted "The Knob."

Fifteen years later, the woman went back to the surgeon with two problems.

"All these years everything had been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob on lots of occasions and I've loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems."

"First of all, I've got these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them."

The doctor looked at her and said, "Those aren't bags, those are your breasts."

She replied, "Oh . . . well, I guess that explains the goatee."

Thanks for all the good wishes and thoughts, talked to my Dad a little while ago, he sounds a bit better than earlier today, was worried as he refused to go to the ER for a check and I know those air bags can sometimes cause internal bleeding, especially in older people when they deploy.

Tom, no snow here either. Yeah!

Made a homemade potato soup today with chives, cheddar cheese and bacon. It was yummy with a grilled cheese sandwich on the side.

Got one more present to wrap here, man, my room looks like a cyclone hit it, but will be glad to have it all wrapped up! I crack myself up here. fa la la la...

It's nice to see my fellow inmates using BT after dark to read a good book, spend time with there family talking about the church fair, or baking cookies for the homeless day traders. I'm so deeply moved that I only took three donuts from the bingo game tonight. You all are such dear people.
