The traffic going to the beach is nuts. I'll bet by now there is no parling any place. I feel bad for family's with small kids and tons of crap to drag. Most will be turned away soon.

There are 15 beach's closed right now.

We have beautiful partridges in every pear tree down here. Simply beautiful I say.

Going to a wedding today. I have not had a tie on since I retired. I hope I can still tie one.

Tara, I never thought about that time of year being the height of the fire season. Would Guy be able to take leave, or do they put a moratorium on leave then? I hope you guys can come out. If Guy can not leave, you always have Kathi and I to hang with then. You were so good to me on my adventure, I would love to repay. I still talk about Santa Barbara to people. I really could live there. I know Kathi could as well.

Another hot one here in the NE today. Going down to the water (shore-key word) today! Having dinner at this place ~ The Crab Trap, http://www.thecrabtrap.com/

Son had given us a gift certificate to this place and I, ah, misplaced it from 2005! Just found it today and YES! they will still honor it. Going to make a day of it, heck, it will take most of the day in traffic just to get there. Looking forward to some good seafood tonight. And a stop here or there on the Boardwalk for some nautical shopping in O.C., haven't been there yet this year.

Have a great Saturday whatever it may find ya doing, off for some pool therapy to stretch the knee muscles before I set off.

Oh, and I know some good back roads there, so traffic shouldn't be all that bad. Full tank of gas, satellite radio and I am all set.

Tomorrow is the dive Memorial for Our friends.. I expect about 100 people and about 50 divers into the water at about 2:10 pm.



. wish me luck and please wish me shade.... This is about the only day that I stand out in the sun for the entire day.......Lots of sunblock......... we have some great gift certificates to raffle off this year.. 20 $100 toward a boat dive on any Long Island certified dive boat let's see how that goes...since I am writing the checks to the dive boats.........

Have fun Freddie and I hope it goes well. Use that sunblock, I used 30 in Bonaire and still am so dark I don't recognize myself when I look in the mirror, it's that I-talian olive skin I guess.

Back from a fun afternoon and evening with hubby, the Crab Trap was o.k, wouldn't go back, but still was on the water and walked the Boardwalk in Ocean City. Lots of interesting people is all I can say about doing that, and you know, being a Jersey gal, you can always find someone you know if you walk the Boards in Ocean City! Yup, happened again today, never fails.

Freddie, best of luck tomorrow and wishing you lots of shade! Get one of those hats with those cute umbrellas on top!!!!!

Thought you went to bed hours ago jerry. Are you waiting up for Louise to come in from cutting the grass. Those new lights on the mower were a great idea. Now she can mow in the cool night air and assemble grills in the daylight
