Good morning Patrick, :)Bill:), Gail, Eileen and all to come...

We had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening with Sarah and Wayne. We went out on the boat for a couple of hours after I got home from work and then had a nice BBQ at their house. It was a nice adult day :)

Back at work today, and hoping that everyone will be at the beach and not making it crazy here...I'm sure that will last til about noon when everyone who isn't at the parade in Southampton decides to wake up...

Might get back out on the boat this afternoon, just me and Ken :) I love catching some of that wonderful sun! Feels so good to be outside!!!

Hugs to all...be lurking from the dispatch desk...

We're awake here but the sun isn't :( we've got fog and 60's on tap for the day. Whaddya gonna do but enjoy :)

I've got to meet a customer at the shop later this morning and figure I'll put in a few hours just for good measure.

I'm hoping I can get an appointment to take Rasta in today -- her eye is inflamed again :( She hasn't been able to see on that side for a while so if they have to remove it, it won't make too much of an impact.

Of course, after 2 days and nights of being restless, last night she slept the whole night thru and this morning she's seems to be doing pretty well. Anything to avoid the vets :)

Patrick.... 12 days :):):):):):):):):):):):)

Time to jump on the treadmill........

Good afternoon BT,
After a relatively horrendous morning at work I feel it's my duty to give a public service announcement to all the pet owners out there.

If your dog or puppy is not current on their Distemper/Parvo vaccine - please do it ASAP! (Puppies usually need 3 vaccines at 8, 12, and 16 weeks (and annually after that) in order to be considered fully vaccinated).

Here in Wisconsin, we are having a horrendous Parvovirus outbreak, and so far only one of the confirmed or suspected cases at our clinic has survived (but she had vaccines at some point in her life unlike most of the others).

Parvovirus causes bloody diarrhea along with vomiting and just plain not feeling well. It is super highly contagious and as we are seeing right now, deadly. It can last in the environment for months. Bleach is the only thing that kills it - and that is questionable in the face of "organic debris".

There is no "treatment" other than to support the dogs with IV fluids and antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infections, and treatment can get very expensive when things like plasma transfusions are needed. Vaccinating to prevent this disease is much cheaper.

Sorry for the hijack, just wanted to get the word out.

Now back to your regularly scheduled BT shenanigans. :)

Beckee, that is some sage advice, as it is evident how much we all love our animals. Thank you.

Eileen, as I always tell you, cherish these days while they are so darn cute. It goes away way too fast.

Jerry, there is a company called Fed Ex Lobster rolls with the Proseco I have chillin would be beautiful my friend.

Michelle, Kathi and I are tripping out on the computers trying to find the perfect land op in the Maldives. It is 102 here today. Yikes!!!

Rufus, any day on the water is a great day, especially if you are loving it with the one your with.

Bill, give Ivy a big hug from me please.

And finally I hope that nerve gets better Gail. I think my daughter Megan has one in her neck.

ES, good to hear from you, as always.

Patrick, 11 and a wake up. You are a beaucoup short timer amigo.

Tara, you take good care of my Rasta Pasta. On Wednesday, I am going to our local Amish farm market for your final installment of PA things. Please give my buddy Guy my best. I so hope you and Guy will come east.

it ain't dead it's just got gas :)

So the vet called but it was the Surgeon Vet--- I'm really thankful that he is fulltime at our hospital and he's a very nice person but I don't like seeing him right off the bat. He always goes straight for surgery, so I've decided to wait until Wednesday to see our regular vet.

I have to say... I brought Rasta down to the shop with me today. It was so bittersweet to have her there and walk along the waterfront. I'm trying not to think of it as the last time... she got so tired so fast. She's sleeping soundly now. I was glad that we could visit the feed store guys and the dive shop again though. :)

Best friends ~ xoxoxxo

Now it's time to get the Beer Butt Chicken ready for the grill :)

I am very thankful that this loooooong weekend is over.

Being a inmate/Mod/owner, it's not a easy job.

I still love the dark side. But, I need to play nice.

So, I bid you all a good evening.

Thank you all for making my job easy.

Until then, and always, all my good thoughts and prayers to both Rasta and you!
