Bill, so you're going from dry heat to humid heat tomorrow? Actually it was 75 this morning here in W.Central Florida. The big thunder storms last night brought the temps down. The cat was cool enough to dig under the covers while I slept last night.

Good Morning BT. Kathi and I were away for the weekend outside of NYC up on the Hudson. It was a lot of fun. Great music, great people, etc. Going to be extremely hot here today.

Just back from the vets. Ivy has been having a little "P" trouble. Multiple squats with very little activity - other than the position

They wanted a sample.........

Ever tried to get a container of any kind under a pup with maximum 4 inch ground clearance??? Add to that the squat, and you're talking maybe an inch and a half!!! Also hard with that fuzzy polar bear butt to find the proper target position!!!

But I got some!! And the vets got more - the direct way!!!

Oh, you would have loved it!! There were all sorts of small dogs there this morning, and Ivy's "tail", well, her butt was wagging all the time!!!!!!

Anyhoo, she has a bladder infection, we have pills ....... she's going to be eating LOTS of cheese - twice a day!!!

Also got professional help (the vet) in wrapping her left ear - which decided to be lazy again!!

Saves a LOT of fighting with Mrs. T. in the long run!!!

Have a wonderful day - whatever your weather!! We have thunderstorms rolling through!!

Should have heard the racket with the first BIG clap of thunder!!!

I just received this message from a mom on a Marine Corps Parents Forum that I am involved in while Tim is deployed. It made me feel really good, as my last advice to my son was, " Tim, always listen to your NCO's and senior NCO's. (Non Commissioned Officers Sergeants, etc.) Make solid decisions, based upon their advice. It will do you well as an officer." Here is what she said:

I spoke with Joe this morning and asked him if he knew your son. He said yes. He thinks he is really "legit" !!! He said that he really thinks very highly of him and is glad to be working with him. He says he's funny too and Staff Sgt D****** as well. Am keeping them all in our prayers!!! He also said that your son is fine, he said they are all doing fine...not sure if that is just the pattoned answer but it puts my heart to ease...for at least a moment.

Hello all At work for the last shift before Deborah's graduation. I got some sleep this morning before the neighbor started up their lawn mower outside my bedroom window. It was okay though because I got a solid 4 hours of sleep before that. Then I got the last of my planting done after I spray painted the planters and they dried. Everything is coming together. Nathaniel cleaned up the last area in the backyard that needed to be tackled. Tomorrow is inside day and since I don't have the girls and I hope to get a ton of stuff done!

My brother got into town about an hour ago and stopped here to give me a hug So good to see him! Can't wait to see his wife tomorrow when she flies in!

Jim...awesome that you got news about Tim. Enjoy your time this weekend! I have pictures of Bethany (now 23) at a park at Croton-on-the-Hudson when she was a baby. I loved taking picnic dinners there and enjoying the evenings there!

Evening to all. Had a great day of weeding and even a better day diving. Tide was early this evening and a friend of mine and i got to dive the Shinnecock Inlet.Like most dives in our area it's tide related. We hit it just right and the ocean was flat calm. Probably one of the best inlet dives i've ever had and the striped bass we got was delicious for dinner. You would have loved it Ruthie the schools of fish were incredible.This should probably be in dive reports so i'll stop.

Will check my closet for silver pumps.
