Good morning to all. Looks to be the best day of spring down here. Great dinner last night. MF tried a new recipe for monkfish. Really came out great although she thought it could be better. Fortunate to have access to the freshest fish which i think makes a big difference. The monkfish are ugly and hard to clean{think jerry} but taste so good.

Was quite depressed yesterday. No one even missed THIS IS ME and i was forced to play by myself all day.Feeli.ng better today

Hope all have a safe day. Don't have to make breakfast anymore for MF she's got the cafe up and running so it's off to garden.

Morning Ppoo, Linda, Jerry and Jim. Boss gone for a week yippee...mine is going to be off next week too.

It's been a busy week. Have started doing circuit training 4 days a week - talk about kicking my a**. Holy Frijoles! But I need it. I'm getting a little too soft and squishy so I need to tone, tighten and build up some muscle...and drop about 10 lbs in the interim.

Someone cleaned out their closet this weekend and brought me their leftovers - let me tell you that I am LOVING it. I was just thinking that I needed a few new items in my wardrobe - not any more. I think some of the items she bought based on the size on the label and didn't try them on. For example, there were two tops that said size 12 but they fit me perfectly and I wear a size 8 top. And pants - holy cow. I was showing Pete a pair of white pants that she had given me - fit great...size 10. I have a pair that I also wear that fit great....size 4. Really - size 4 to size 10. AARGH! I always wonder if clothing manufacturers have a standard that they have to work with or if it is just catch as catch can.

Off to see my friend Kim this weekend. It was going to be Pete and I going down there but he had to go to Memphis for a meeting today so he drove there yesterday...almost 500 miles and will be driving back today. I think he should have looked at flights from Knoxville to Memphis but what the heck do I know - LOL!

Ok - enough rambling. Everyone have a FANTASTIC weekend. If you are on Bonaire, I'm jealous. If you are going to Bonaire over the next 6 weeks, I'm jealous. But I'll get over it.

I've run across Livermush in other states which is similar to Scrapple. Back in the late 1980's I purchase Scrapple (Habbersett even) in Lake Tahoe of all places. There is a breakfast place in St. Pete Fl (Skyway Jack's) that serves scrapple - they also serve eggs and pig brains but I haven't gone there yet.

My Dad will not eat scrapple to this day. He grew up in upstate PA and his uncle was a farmer. He would make his own scrapple. One day Dad was helping him stir the scrapple and his hat fell into the vat. His uncle pulled it out, washed it off and continued with the recipe. Dad hasn't touch it since...

Scrapple sounds a bit like Haslet. An acquired taste and not one I have bothered to acquire!

I have spent three days phoning people about the burglary and things are happening. We now have one credit card so we can feed Oscar. Having been through the events around the theft I think Oscar is in for some serious chicken. We think it was a chance sneak theft. I had taken stuff to the recycling bins at the back of the house and I heard Oscar yowling and a small scuffle. I shouted 'Oscar' and went round to the front door. Oscar was sat on the door step licking his paws as if he had been seeing off a cat on his territory. I now think that he might have seen off the burglar! The combination of his yowl,which is amazingly loud, and me shouting may have made the robber disappear quickly. I have not allowed myself to think about what might have happened if ........
I am hoping we will get a replacement watch for Bob but we need to find a photo of our video camera in order to get it replaced. A sort through the 'My Pictures' section of the computer for Bob I think.

Quick hello...no time to read the threads the past 2 days...been running like crazy today between getting the twins, dropping kids for final exams, picking them up, running to the dump, taking Li'l Red for her bordatella booster, power washing backyard furniture and the house, taking Deb to a dr's appt, watering all the plants in the backyard...

Lots of stuff to do everyday before Deb's graduation next Saturday! My brother and his wife show up next Wednesday evening and I'm hoping to have most everything done by the time they get here, but work schedule is hectic over the next 5 days too...

I'll be lurking and saying hi when I can...

this week I have been VERY EXTREMELY BUSY.. what with opening the cafe at a drop of the hat.......... and getting three houses ready for summer people...
The "guest house" as we like to call our neighbors house..lol was all cleaned and ready to go except the floor.. big ceramic tile floor... I was saving that for last obviously and went down yesterday to finish the job. when low and behold, I discover that something else has been enjoying my clean guest house.... she came through the fireplace, and just couldn't stay off of the pure white slipcovers...
molding gnawed,,,,,, lamps destroyed............. three bathrooms trashed , she was a very clean little racoon..... washed her hands in every toilet...and made a frickin mess...... crawled up every inside screen and made holes.. touched every clean window ....gnawed a hole in the molding and got into the basement...
after the initial SHOCK.. i cleaned everything up and closed the doors to the fireplace really tight, or so I though..............

Today after working at the cafe I went and did one of the other houses, and then went back to the guest house ..just to finish the floors AGAIN......

she only hit one bathroom this time, but get this came up through the Jennaire stovetop vent,..how she got in there I will never know.. then I go in to the master suite and see that ANOTHER floor vent is pushed up and of course the complusiary {sp} Poop.... How nice...........
went back out to the living room and Yes my friends... the white slipcovers AGAIN>>>>>>>>>>>>>> this is the third time I washed them............right now there is a have a heart trap in the living room infront of the fireplace and G just went to set on in the basement............ I just wanted to sit down there with a shot gun and have at it, the bullets holes wouldn't be as bad as the damage already done......... NOW did I explain that these people are coming TOMORROW????? how nice.......
If When we trap this little so and so.. it is going for a nice swim.............and I will stand over it and wish it well.................
