Everyone must be sleeping in today. No early birds to start a thread.

Good morning Gail and all of BT.
I've been up since 6 to see Terry off to work. Have been cleaning ever since.

Yesterday I did my aquarium duty. Spotted & tended the 7:45 dive session and scrubbed the 9:30 session. Then I dropped off and picked up tanks for air fills. By the time I got back to the aquarium it was pouring rain. That made unloading the tanks fun. The rest of the afternoon dives were cancelled due to a huge thunder & lightning storm.

I'm going to finish this cleaning and get ready to have some fun before noon.

Have a great day.

Morning Jerry. Will you be smoking today, or is there rain in your area?

Yes, smoking, some yard work, it's low 80's with a slight sea breeze. I have some new summer wines to try.

This won't wait for Thursday's funnies. From a very Irish friend of mine.

I was testing children in my Dublin Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting into heaven.

I asked them, 'If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into heaven?'

'NO!' the children answered.

'If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the garden, and kept everything tidy, would that get me into heaven?'

Again, the answer was 'NO!' By now I was starting to smile.

'Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave sweets to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into heaven?'

Again, they all answered 'NO!'.

I was just bursting with pride for them.

I continued, "Then how can I get into heaven?"

A six year-old boy shouted out: "YUV GOTTA BE *****' DEAD!"

It's a curious race, the Irish.

Okay, I'm out of here. Have fun ya'll.

My mom's surprise present last night...

His name is Randy, he's 1.5 years old and weights 12 pounds. She's always wanted a sheltie. He apparently has quite the personality. She's over the moon!

Hi again! I don't post much about the FDA recalls but when it comes to kids and meds I like to make sure everybody I know has the info. Since one of these is allergy medicine I think it's of value to the moms out there. The following have been recalled in 4oz sizes...

PediaCare Multi-Symptom Cold 4oz.
PediaCare Long Acting Cough
PediaCare Decongestant
PediaCare Allergy and Cold

FDA Link here.

Jerry, can I come for breakfast??

Morning BT!!!

Well, I let go and let it flow last night and it was FUN!!!! First off Guy got up to the airport and got cancelled so he did get to go to the bbq after all. It was so fun and WOW!!! am I ever jealous of this warehouse space my friend has. It's an old lemon packing warehouse - big, open, with windows and rolling doors.... if I could find a space like that I'd keep the biz for a bit longer!! He's got an amazing array of tanks and motorcycles and cars (his true passion) that he's working on.
motorcycles
cars
These two Sherman tanks are owned by the same collector --- he bought the one on the left a few years ago for $200k (it's now worth over $500k) and the one on the right just a little bit ago for $245k (Dave is retrofitting US tracks on it and other stuff).
shermans
he has this cool amphibious vehicle out back
amphi
we lost count as to how many tanks he has. The one pointing out he was going to fire off at sunset (we needed to get home for Rasta though and didn't stay that long)
lots o tanks
this old Willy's was in great shape - Guy's fantasy vehicle - some day
willy
of course I had to pose with the completely refurbished babe :)
tara

So then we came home and it was so warm and pleasant out that we decided to sleep on the patio
camping at home
especially nice with the firepit all cleaned out and putting out a beautiful flame :)

Rasta went inside about midnight but Guy and I stayed out all night --- we saw so many satellites and the sunrise :) :)
welcome the new day!

Guy's gone off to work, I've walked Rasta and done a run at the beach... now to clean house, do laundry and generally enjoy my Sunday!!!!!

Safe travels Debbie
Happy lobster rolls Jerry
You should be done with chores by now Linda - hope you're having fun!
What trouble will Bill get into today??

It's gonna be a good one!!!!

Hi, Guys! Eric and I are going flying this afternoon....I you don't hear from me by morning, somebody please come feed the cats...

Tara, I have a friend in Oakland who built a 30' skateboard ramp in the warehouse he lives in. He has a collection of junked pianos that he's made into most of his decor. We could get our friends together...

Bill I just know you can get in some trouble if you try just a little. Adorable little doggie your mom now has.

I'm going to to sit in the sun and throw peanuts at the squirrels. They and I both enjoy this...

Hi everyone. I'm back from a little shopping trip. Picked up some curtains for the spare room at BB&Beond, plus some other little things. Then went next door to Sports Authority for a new Times. The plastic band to my little pink Timex cracked a month ago & I've been using masking tape to keep it together. There's no way to replace the band as it's part of the body, too, or I would have kept it.

Tara, nice pictures! :):):)

Linda, only you could make a trip to BB&B sound fun.

Jerry, get back to that repair bench before I call the Boss.

I've been on UrbanSpoon, stalking new eats. After the flight today, we're going here: http://www.theoaxacankitchen.com/index.html

Tomorrow, an old, good friend is in town(He retired to Mexico), and we're going to see the SF Giants play somebody(I'll admit it: I only go for the company), and afterwards have dinner here: http://www.esperpentorestaurant.com/

We never leave town on a three day weekend...it feels like a vacation just hanging around here...

Hello BT...

I am sad to say that I cannot get through the threads for yesterday and today...YET!!! I will make a valiant effort later IF it slows down here at work.

Yesterday Ken and I spent the morning going to a few yardsales with Lil Red and then did yard work for the rest of the afternoon. A friend of Ken's gave us a ton of plants that I got in the ground yesterday and then went and got fencing for today to make sure that Jasper doesn't trample them! We are going to have an over abundance of tomatoes, cukes and green/red peppers to go with the radishes and onions I already had planted. My hands show that I have been working with Mother Earth very closely!

Hugs and love to all and I promise I will get through the threads at some point!

This has taken me a 1/2 hour to compose in between calls! Only been on duty a little over an hour and we have already handled 13 calls! WHEW!!!

Tara, the tofu dogs with sauerkraut and Samuel Adams keep me busy for part of the game: I people watch for the rest. It's baseball, Dude; you're thinking of the NY Giants?

It's about 80f and sunny here. Very little breeze. From my office, I can see the fog sucking in over the Bay a little(How did I get so lucky to live here?) We'll go north to Santa Rosa on the east side of the Bay to avoid the fog, since Eric is only rated for visual flight....he's working on IFR. The ocean is plenty rough, however. Big swell: the surfers are happy, the divers, not so much...

CB, bring binoculars to the game and people watch, or check out the dug-outs. Those players make a mess of it with their sunflower seeds and snacks.

Tara, I bought just 2 panels of these....

HaHa Me Three!!!! That's why Guy doesn't work a ton of overtime (only takes it when they need him) and I haven't taken a 'paycheck' in a long long time - frugal works!

I laid down my sheet so I could stain the chairs and Rasta immediately curled up on it... she's been having a hard time getting up on her bed (it's about 2" high :( )... so while I wait for her to get tired of this spot I've vacuumed, cleaned up the houseplants, enjoyed a glass of Blueberry Sangria Lemonade (recipe to follow) and now I'm here :)
I've got HGTV on the tv with the speakers outside so I'm pretty much in Heaven :)

Well, we all seem tucked in at this point, and we just got back from our flight. Flying up the east side of the Bay, you can see all the bay bridges, San Francisco, Bodega Bay, the Pt Reyes Seashore, Napa Valley, Mt. St. Helena. Great flight. And the Santa Rosa airport has a really good restaurant...we opted for it rather than the Oaxacan Kitchen...we'll go there next time.

Tomorrow.....baseball and tappas.....

It's another nice night here... Guy is watching an old movie with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis - the one where they have to take a bunch of women on a submarine :) So classic.
