Time for me to get dressed and go pick up the girls. Please continue to pray for Bethany. She is really going through a rough time right now. She and her husband have split (his choice, not hers) and she has moved in with her grandparents for the time being. This has been a tough past week for us all. Emotions have been running high and I have felt so helpless. You want the best for your children and hate to see them hurting so badly. Maybe things will work back out for them, but only time will tell...

For me...I am on a 7 day countdown to surgery...(PS...if you are around this morning, expect a phone call...the weekend was crazy and I was running non-stop) So I need prayers too! Am getting anxious, but know that everything will be better after all is said and done.

Tom, get to the doctor's and start antibiotics, STAT! Takes three days to kick the carp, you need to have those ears clear to fly soon! That is three days after you get an antibiotic. Nasty stuff, Tiff got it first, then me, now hubby has it, Brandon is doomed. Gregg locked himself up in the bedroom from 8pm last night, humidifier on and all medicated up, won't be long till he has to go get to the doc's. He is trying to ruff it out and fight it, so far, it's a losing battle. He is on day three of feeling lousy. Told him when his legs feel like they got hit by a bus, he must go to the doc's.

Back from picking up the girls at the great-gma's house. Pick-up takes much longer now. Have to round them up and take them away from a place that they enjoy being at. It is a change for them that will take time to get used to.

Bill, FB is bad with those games, I got a friend on FB that has been trying to get me to join FB just so I can be her friend on that Farmville game. Nope, it is highly, I mean highly addictive those games. She has invented some like Chip did too. She even has someone go on to her computer to tend to her fields when she is at work. Oh boy. I am not joining FB, no siree, being addicted to Bonaire and BT is enough for me.

Debbie, I get it! I'm pretty naive on FB in's and out's but I do know - don't play the games! Chip however did play them. He may be lost forever! LOL! I did ask him what would happen to his crops when we left on vaca - he said he could freeze time? Seems like a massive time sink to me. lalalalala!

Carp = Crap

Started feeling like crap Saturday afternoon. Saturday night I sat in the recliner with two fleece blankets and an afghan till around 8:30 when I went upstairs to bed - freezing the whole time. Yesterday, I was between feeling better and feeling like crap. Still took the family to the movies and dinner as I had promised the kids a week ago, movie was too loud and dinner was tasteless. Hardly slept at all last night, up about every hour, finally before I posted this morning I did something I never do - tossed cookies. Hope that clears up the "fishy-ness".

Nothing is packed yet, so unlike me when I am traveling.

Off to take a shower and a nap.

Thanks all for the prayers for Bethany. It will be a long road here while she makes some choices. I am selfishly glad that she is living with her Grandma and Grandpa for now. I need my rest when I get home from the hospital. I will gladly help her with anything when I am better, including letting her live with us for a time. It is very interesting to see the girls and how this change is affecting them already. Lots of love to go around from everyone, so they will all survive.

And Tom...I'll make sure they each get a great big hug!!!

Oh, big news here, Brandon, my son with the long hair has decided to cut his locks shorter for running track! WooHoo! Went online for new styles and he actually found one he liked I sent him. So, by week's end, I will get to see both his eyes again. Printed the pic of the style and will take it with us when the big day comes.

Oh and FB, it's not that I don't like it, I'm just don't want to get too addicted to it. The ease of posting pics is enticing though. Maybe someday I will take the plunge. Not ready yet.

Keep in mind that if you do get the flu - you need to be within 24-48 hours of symptoms for Tamiful etc to work effectively! After that it does very little to shorten the time to being better.

Just popping in for a minute. I'll catch up on all the threads tomorrow, but this is where I am now........

We got home about 6 pm this evening. Fed the crew before Josh and Chudney took the girls home to prepare for back to the real world tomorrow.

We left Friday and drove to Ft Myers, and checked into the hotel and got keys, and then went to John's Mom's house. Spent some time with her, her sister, John's brother and SIL, and then back to the hotel to unload. Up on Saturday and at the funeral home at noon for family previewing. Open viewing was at 1, and the service started at 2. It was a beautiful 'celebration of life'. All 3 step-sons spoke, and 4 step grandchildren spoke, my son included. They all did a beautiful job. We had an open reception at a local restaurant, and then the immediate family back to the house to cut up and tell stories. We checked out of that hotel on Sunday morning, and drove to Alma, Georgia. A tiny little town in the middle of Georgia with no good way to get there! We booked all but 1 room on the second floor at the Blueberry Plantation Inn! We had a great ole "Irish wake" though we're aren't Irish in the Inn's bar, even thought the bar wasn't open..... dry county! We got around that! Todays graveside service consisted of a few readings, we were all doing good..... and then the military procession of taps..... VERY humbling, the folding and presentation of the flag. We all kind of lost it there. (I had not known Bill had been Army in WW2, and was so close to Nazi quarters. I thought he was just Civil Service.) So after a reception lunch, all 7 of us squished into the van for the ride home.

We are all emotionally exhausted, but need a good nights sleep with NO comitments tomorrow. John took the day off.... we're grateful Danielle made her adult decision to come home to be with us and had a wonderful time reconnecting with her cousins, second cousins, etc.

I'll catch up on the threads tomorrow! It's all good.
