Are you trying to confuse us old people? I was scrolling around and looking at the bottom part of the list for over 2 minutes before I found it at the top.

But I like it.

I guess it is time for BT to decide what it wants to be. It started out as an adjunct to the webcam; has evolved, or devolved, into a social networking/chat site. I think it needs an UW webcam sponsored by BT. Someplace fairly accessible and not too deep, like the original.

I would not forget or undervalue the Bonaire / diving / accommodation informational aspect that continues to bring most of us to BT in the first place.

I also think a BT sponsored webcam would be a wonderful idea... That would bring the webcam up on the list again, I am sure... The CC doesn't belong on top.. there are a lot of great ideas over on the other thread "BT lineup" ... lets all be open minded and give our suggestions there..

Seb, Freddie, I whole heartedly agree that underwater web cams are a fantastic idea. I would say that not being next to or on top of a reef would be ideal. Hooligans on another underwater web cam seem to hold on to the reef while waiting for the capture time. (geez I got lots of opinions today - LOL! )

I miss the cam, I am sure peeps would help sponsor it. if that is the hold up..maybe??

Seb, with all due respect, I think the cams came into existince shortly after the message board was created. Almost since the beginning of this board "chat" occured in the threads which I believe was one of the reasons that C.C. was created.

Webcams would be nice however, I have issues with BT sponsoring one. If the consensus is to sponsor one, I think all providers and possible sites on island need to be considered.

Bill, sadly many people are too willing to show what asses they are, even on webcams. "Bad" behavior has been captured by underwater web cams on Bonaire, long before the "other" company's cam came into existence.

Interesting stuff. Cynde mentioned mod mail too. What is that? Just FYI's between you guys/gals? Just curious.

I love the history lesson. It's cool! Too bad there isn't a history and timeline of BT from it's inception to Today! (course you can't get much newer than I am - I suppose a whole lot of folks remember most of it.)

By the way, no matter what personal opinions I might express, I would most forcefully insist that everyone understand - I LOVE BT - I APPRECIATE BT MODS - I APPRECIATE ALL BT MEMBERS - I AM THANKFUL FOR BT and it's COMMUNITY! Changed or not changed, growing now or not, I love BT - it means the world to me! Please do not mistake thought generation with criticism. I have no criticism to offer.

I believe there are many of us, BTers, who highly value the informational threads, maybe even more than the cc thread. So I don't necessarily see it as only a social networking chat site. I think that is evident in some of the explanations for why it was suggested cc not be at the top of the list. BTW I agree it should not be at the top.

And another 'humble opinion' .. If any BTers are interested in financing an uw cam, they have the choice to be paying members of that site. So, I am not sure why BT should sponser an uw cam. But the BT site is not mine and it is of course totally up to those who do own it. Whatever is decided, sponser a cam or not, cc wherever it falls, I still greatly enjoy BT and appreciate the work of the mods and the kindness of many on BT. Happy T-Day !

I'd agree with Tom on not sponsoring a cam...i did chat with Freddie and Jerry via email when they were toying with changing the line up. I thought we/they agreed CC shouldn't be at the top...so after the day from he)) i was very surprised that it was at the top (and still is).

I did a little keyword research, and these are the top searches for "bonaire" that would apply to BT:

Personally, I love webcams, wish the ones we have currently had better locations and u/w cam again, I really miss that. The webcams were the first thing that drew me to BT.

Logically speaking, I think the costs of BT sponsoring one would be tremendously high. There is so much maintenance to them due to the elements above and below. Since I am on island, looked into a bit here and it would be very hard to do not being on island and lots of money to pay someone to maintain as it requires so much maintenance.

If you have ever been to Honolulu, and stayed at the Outrigger on the beach, bad behavior has been the thing for many years.
On the ocean side of the pool was an underground bar called Davey Jones Locker, it's claim to fame was a plexiglass window into the pool and you can only imagine what was viewed.
So it's just not here.

Mike, tomorrow it is going to be moved to a different website altogether. Yup, gonna be piggybacked on either Opra's, Jerry Springer's or Dr. Phil's sites.

Had to change Jerry's and Phil's names to possessive rather than plural. Leaving them as plurals would have totally confused people here and probably caused some to have issues.
