Kristi, Right now, I would like to disown my knee, not cooperating at all. But on the mend I hope. Got a knee brace from hubby that just might do the deed of being mobile more till it decides to be normal again.

We moved Brandon's drum set "inside" yesterday, had to totally reorganize the downstairs family room, well, I should say Brandon's room now, he's got it all covered with his stuff, one part work out room with weights and weight bench, treadmill, one part Video gaming, flat screen TV, couch and stuff, then other part is now the "band" area with his set of drums and such. Looks pretty good now, though not sure how the ears will be with drums there instead of the garage where they were. Ohhhhhhmmmmmm...

A WOMAN was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?' The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch his legs.'

Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.

People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

The pic is just the "idea" - when you let go of mine, towel or not, they are moving targets - ha!

These guys like being clean. They even like the baths - old tricks taught to me by a friend when they were young. I have to sneak the towels and shampoo to the washroom or they freak and attack me to see who goes first!

Rolling, only the big dog, Ella - duck poop and deer poop and at any time she can find it. But she hates baths and of course gets one immediately. It's been years so I think she's finally got it!

Yep, dead things too - birds are good the more rotten the better. Down at the beach, parts of crabs, basically anything that smells. Someone told me it's instinct and they are covering their scent for the "hunt". I guess they don't understand I'm doing the hunting at PetsMart!

It'd be fun to have Chip takes pics, they're hillarious but unfortunately he's to the dentist for yucky stuff.

I just added up the winning bids at the auction site and the grand total - so far - is $2,158.75!

Hope this is not against any auction rules.

Bill. Love the Gollum reference. I know this kid who, at the age of 5'ish, reminded me so much of that creature. It was scarey and funny.

Awww, poor kid, still creeps me out and I'm an "adult". (Note the use of quotes, please). I read all of the Tolkien books three times each while in high school and they matched and in some parts exceeded my expectations in the creepiness factor of the movie character.

Another good day here. I slept good. Mom and I had our coffee on the porch with the new fan that is fabulous! Made appt. for tomorrow to get my staples out. Now, I'm in bed resting a bit. I think I was up and down too much yesterday. I'm sore. But, nothing I can't deal with. And tomorrow I'll be able to shower!!!! I'm NOT feeling FRESH at all!!
I still don't know when I'll be able to drive again...My post op appt. is next week and they said I can't drive then...Heck, where do I have to go anyway??? And, why would I go when it's so wonderful here w/ Mom???

Krispi, we were looking at 911 calls and that popped up. I got chills!

Almost time to go home...still no phones here. 911 works, but all the regular lines are not working. All calls have been transferred to one of our precincts, so a dispatcher has to sit over there to answer calls, then puts them in the computer and we dispatch from here when we see a call pop up. Very efficient! Finding new ways to work together!

So tomorrow and Wednesday will be long days. The wake for Amanda's mom is in Greenwich Village tomorrow, then the funeral is in NYC near the 59th St Bridge. I talked to Amanda a little while ago and she is doing her best to hold it together. Bethany and I are putting pictures together this afternoon/evening. Bittersweet, looking at happy memories and knowing she is gone. I need to go through my computer and find pix from Bethany's wedding and various parties over the years to print. Gonna need my tissues....

Annemarie got promoted this weekend to Corporal..thats E4..she bypassed E2 and E3. She is very proud. Their team took 4th or 5th place in everything they competed in, out of about 32 teams. So they didn't actually win any but still did well.
She had a 2 mile run sat AM then joined a map team in the afternoon and had to run 2 more miles. apparently got to feeling dizzy near the end of the 2nd 2 mile run and hyperventilated. Scared her a little but she was OK.
She doesn't eat much. I told her if she is going to demand her body "DO" so much she better start giving it fuel!

Looks like you better start thinkin' of somethin' good!! HA HA HA
