Now am waiting for the swine flu one, doc here said it will go to pregnant women and kids up to age 24 first, so I know Brandon will get his, not sure when/if I will be able to get. Sure don't want that one either!

Hey, did I tell ya that having a bum knee right now is driving me bonkers? Even more bonkers than I am normally, seriously, rest it, take it easy, well, after a week, I am rested up, knee is starting to feel better than last week, however, it is like your thumb, ya know, you can't really do much without it. Being stationary is not all it's cracked up to be is all I'm saying.

My boss is here too but I ain't looking busy In fact he's got our renter, in his office & they are yacking and talking firearms, so actually nobody is doing anything productive here. Even the girls are snoring

Morning all Busy day again on tap here. Flying to AZ tonight for a quick weekend...I bought 20 packages of sani-wipes, spray, gel, anything i could get my hands on.

We get a free flu shot through work, I'm tempted to just go to walgreens and pay 15 bucks.

The H1N1 vaccine, first round is going to pregnant women, health care workers or caregivers who care for infants or the elderly, and those aged 2-49 (kids under 10 will need two vaccinations). My concern is that is attenuated (live vaccine). I've had friends who have gotten attenuated seasonal flu vaccine and ended up very sick (almost had the flu). Should be interesting to see how this whole thing unfolds....

Deb, precious pics. And yes, live attenuated vaccine is the nasal spray mist (the influenza used to also come in the attenuated version a few years ago, not sure if they still offer that version or if it was because of a new strain that particular year). The H1N1 is an attenuated spray.

Krispi, live stuff isn't all that bad. When I was 12 I had to have rabies shots, 14 in the abdomen...it was suckling rabbit brains...The syringe was HUGE and the stuff inside was white, milky, chunky stuff. It had to be SLOWLY injected, hurt like he::! But heck I'm still here and I can hop really good :-)

Bi-focal contacts, my first thought was, that's a cheap high and lasts a really long time, like a month, man. But then I thought of how much they cost and maybe it's not such a good deal after all.

By the way, been there, done that. It takes about a month for your brain to get a handle on the new situation. This happened to me a month after Lasik surgery where one eye shifted near sighted.
