Krispi, that would be a snout nosed butterfly fish, and yes, I did see your picture. Very nice! We saw quite a few this trip, they are quite shy and we have never been able to get a really good picture of them like you did. You done good!

He was VERY hard to get a shot of...The 1st one we saw hid too well..the 2nd one, the one I got the picture of..that was one of like 5 tries!
I was glad I got it! The slender filefish we saw, however, was elusive! In the pictures I took of him, he was hiding...can barely make him out. Very disappointing!

In this picture, it doesn't have the black face that the long nose has on the websites I looked at..
Maybe it is a different? My flash was too bright on it but the face is definitely not black. Juvenile maybe?

My photo is of a Pyramid butterflyfish - thought it was a triangle butterflyfish. Isn't a pyramid a triangle? Confusing.

Back from picking up Brandon from practice, love the pictures. I only know some of the fish down under on Bonaire. There was a lot I saw this trip that I had no idea of I.D, but it is fun to look in the reef fish id books for them. So many varieties and variations of juvie, intermediate and adult too. We will just keep going back to get to know them all, that should take me a lifetime.

Debbie, I need some books like the ones you have!!

I am having a horrible time right now, in a horrible mood..

Hi Linda! That's a dad (Alfred) and one of his 6 kids (Boomer). Thankfully we're left with Alfred and two sons plus Ella our 9 year old mix who runs the joint. Four dogs, down from six, down from 10. And yes.. we had to have a kennel license until this year! No, we don't breed them it juz happened with a little help from a "friend".

Good morning (barely! )all my BT Family!!!

Getting a late start here...been up and about doing a few chores after sleeping in later than I expected to. Was supposed to start dayshifts today, but got a call from a fellow dispatcher who needed the afternoon off today, so asked if I would switch and work the afternoon instead. SOOOOO...being the kind soul that I am I agreed. No ulterior motives in place at all...nope...not in the least. Oh, okay...there were! Ken has school physicals again tonight and he doesn't get home till almost 8 from those, so since he only works half a day on Tuesday, it gives us more time together. He just got home and we are off for 2 1/2 hours on the boat before I go to work! How much better is that time spent than at work?

All the WHN's decided that a trip to Maine would be a bit much to afford so instead in September they are going to the Panama City Rally with us not that I have a problem with it just not sure if we will be allowed to go back....I have this feeling that somewhere/somehow they will see something/someone that they think we just should not be around........I'm just sayin!!!!!!

Been taming the laundry monster from vacation all day, still going at it. I "think" I am on my last load of clothes. Phew! Brought home all son's clothes that we had in storage as "some" of them he has already outgrown and it's only been 6 months since he was last there. Darn kid, he's growing like a weed, I think he is either 6'3 or 6'4 now. Tallest in the family, even beat out his Dad now.

Ok, yall had been talking about how confusing the fish ID thing can be....I am having that problem with the turtle I just painted. I thought it was a Hawksbill, but I saw some pics the other day in GA, and that made me think it was a Green Turtle....

What the heck did I paint??? AND are there nose holes on the "beak" part??? My pic is really little that I'm painting from.

Krispi, I think the depth is adding the color. The pic actually has the turquoise on it...but then there's the flash adding color. I'm so confused!!!

Hmmmm, the way the spots are on the fins, I'd say Hawksbill, but the coloring of the Green, I'd say green. I think it's a Hawksbill, and it's at like 60 ft. Hence the color.....

Well, back from getting a new tire for my car. Since when is a new tire, basic, nothing fancy, $106 total? Wow, a bit pricey if you ask me.

Bill, Tink will love your dogs. She has Dachounds, but I'm not sure if they are smooth or wire haired.

Open your photos in Microsoft Picture Manager, choose "photos" on top and "resize". From there you can change the size in %'s. Try taking them down to 10 or 15% and "save as" so you don't loose the original file and see how they look.

Dude, whoever created that thing is sicker than BOTH of us......

I am home and relaxing with a large mudslide...and boy do I need it after our night at work tonight. Can you say cluster****? From 9:30 till change of shift we were non-stop with a call that was a complete mess. I was working other calls while the other dispatcher was handling this one call. All I can say is that she got wrong information and it cost almost 2 hours of manpower/resources for the PD, Marine Patrol, Parks PD, FD and Ambulance. By the end of shift, I was, shall we say, PEEVED!!!!! The good thing is that she is not my regular partner, the bad news is she has been switched to work with me in the morning...I think I need to go make another mudslide...one might not be enough...
