Wonderful Donna!

Good Morning everyone!

I'm off to my parents today!!! Just need to get Mr. Quinn up and running - not a morning person! Keddle is into the Cheerios box, too afraid to know what Riker is up too...

Have a great morning!

Like duh, great shots Donna love the flower. The deer photo problem is a tough one, distance is your enemy and their skiddish nature makes it almost impossible.

The deer I photographed in the Keys are very tame and live around humans and are not hunted. None of these are true in your case. Maybe a very long lens and a tripod might work.

Good morning everyone and all to follow.
Donna, thanks for the photos. I love Bambi!! What camera do you have?

Eileen, have you found Riker yet? It's scary when they are quiet.

Carl, an overcast day on the Cape is MUCH better than a day at work. We would sometimes go running down the dunes while on the Cape, and go to Provence town. Boy, that was way back when I was a kid to my teens.

Cecil, you're welcome. I was curious about them, too.

Michelle, good to hear you had a fab weekend.

Good luck with your OW dives today Ken. Ruth keep an eye on him. :-):-):-)

Tom & Pam, more hugs!!

Good Morning BT!!!
Donna - GREAT pics :-)
Krispi - GREAT NEWS!!!! The next two days are going to go by so slow for you!!

Tom - true story, Rasta did that too! I left her and my purse in the car while I ran into the Post Office one winter day (just so's no one worries about heat exhaustion). When I returned I noticed a weird smell and immediately thought the vets had missed something at her last 'expression' or that someone had sprayed something into the car.... then I noticed my pepper spray on the seat. She had jumped up to the front seat, stepping on my purse and setting off the pepper spray!!! Long story, short... Rasta pepper sprayed herself :-)
So glad to hear that Katie is doing well.

Okay... gotta get my arse on the treadmill and burn a few calories to start the day :-)

Good morning everyone...hard to see the keyboard, I think I have pink eye! I am just waiting for the eye doctor to open his office and then I'll be off.

From Donna's beautiful photo's to Krispi's good news it sounds like the week will start off in a good way.

Tom, you and the family are still in my thoughts.

I am, however; a little miffed at your eyeglass comment from the previous thread! :-) progressive shmogressive...no one will ever know...at least that is what they tell me! They did warn me, the first week or two can be very discouraging. It may seem as if you are walking around inebriated until you get use to them...ah hell...I've done that before! LOL

Mrs. T. and I sat down this morning, with a calendar, and pinpointed exactly when and for how long we could be on the boat. It's going to be a great August and September!!!!! :-) :-) :-)

Ken and Ruth - glad you are having a great time!!! Keep on having fun!! :-) :-)

Roseanne!!! You sneaked in on me there!!
:-) :-) :-)
Figured I better make this a LITTLE bigger so you could read it without hurting your nose!!!

:-) :-) Hey - Progressives beat the alternative - OLD FART GLASSES!!! The ones with that special window carved into the bottom!!!!! :-) :-)

Just watch out for trying to go down dimly lit stairs, either inside, or out!!! Very ... VERY easy to completely miss a step - or three!!

Wonder how I know that????? :-) :-)

Okay - Had a major Holle Panic Attack this morning!! Mrs. T. took Holle out into the backyard, and then - horror of horrors - Mrs. T. started hanging laundry on the clothesline to dry!!!

Holle couldn't get far enough away from the laundry monster :-( :-( She even cowered in the furthest flower garden - and she's NOT allowed in flower gardens!!!

Don't know what we will do to get her over her fear of drying clothes - using the dryer on such a gorgeous day is not an option!!! :-) :-)

Well, better get some emails done, and then see what we can create for lunch!! :-) :-)

Have a great day!!! That's an ORDER!!!

Time to disappear for a while!!

:-) Bill :-)

Morning, almost afternoon everyone!

Krispi, got your message, I was out most of the morning. :-) Soon, very soon we will enjoying Bonaire and all Mother Ocean has to offer! :-)

I had a wonderful time with my son, laura and lydia yesterday! Enjoyed the time we shared so very much.

Bill, sounds like a good plan. Now, don't work too hard this week.

Ken, good luck with your o/w dives today. :-)

Donna, love your morning pics! Our deer population around here is getting huge.

RA, I got the invisible ones, no one knows they are there but me. It did take me a year to get used to them, I actually scratched my first pair just to go back and get them normal till I was ready to accept the fact that I had to really have them to see better. Took about two weeks and a couple trips up and down the stairs, but I am all good now, I only trip up stairs! Ha...joking,

Speaking of glasses, I saw Lydia yesterday and we were sitting there playing and I took my glasses off for something, it freaked her out as her grandmom looks scary without them to her. Had to put them back on STAT! to make her smile again. Funny how little ones relate things to a person. While we were outside, they changed color and she kept poking my glasses up to see if I was still there! LOL!

RA, have to confess, I still do trip up the stairs, BUT, have been doing that since I was a kid, darn feet move faster than the rest of me at times. Tom, yup, some things never change. There, feel better now I got that out. You know, most folks fall down stairs, my falling upstairs makes me unique, right. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Work from home day for me, so I'd better get at my list.

Krispi, Ya, it goes to voicemail if I don't pick up. hee hee. Told Brandon too, he says he is not into girls either, he's such a jock, but I see him looking and them looking at him, so who knows? I told him the same thing, wouldn't it be cool to have someone other than us old folks to talk to? Oh, yeah, well, maybe... Can't wait for Sunday to be here already. Sorry, Ruth and Ken, I know you aren't, but I'm so ready to go!

RA, on my way to the gym now, had to wait for the gal who's doing my business to wake up and show up here, ah, those young girls can really sleep in. I'm all set to go on vaca now! Oops, forgot I need to pack too. Whoops, that's o.k., will do that tomorrow. Today is more weight training. going to try to do the amount of weights he wanted me to start with, but I didn't, was too heavy. Got an appt. with the personal trainer again tomorrow to go over other stuff that need fixing too. I am just a work in progress here.

Trainer has some explaining to do though, a week at the gym and no weight loss, he's going to have to do some sweet talking to keep me interested, cute guys only go so far ya know... I want to see results like yesterday. know it doesn't work that way, but when? The magic question is when? That is my one and only question when I see him tomorrow. Plus, one machine he wants me to do will so not be my friend. I just hit that one with my towel when I walk by.

All this talk about glasses...hmmm....I HAVE to wear mine or I can't see. I have contacts, but can't see well enough to paint w/ them. They are great for diving though... I may need a new Rx. Mine are progressive...I enjoyed the first few days, saved money on beer and wine!!LOL

Hi all.. talk about glasses I got new ones this past week and we will not EVER discuss how much they cost.... this will never be spoken to MrF.. ya'll hear!!!!! With all this talk of glasses and progressive glasses has me thinking of my dive mask.

Currently I have a mask with gauge readers and during our last trip I found this not to be strong enough. Plus it is getting more difficult to take photos craning my neck looking thru these gauge readers located in the bottom of my mask lenses. That's my excuse for taking bad uw photos!

My question to you photographers in the same situation is where do you like the "reading" portion on your mask lens - bottom middle or higher? I know this sounds funny, but there are reasons some photographers prefer the middle or top of the lens.

Hi Linda I have actually given that some though.... I am thinking about diving with two masks one for the photography of little stuff and one just to see the whale sharks with... I think I will have a mask made up with my bifocal script for when I take photos.. and that is about all the time and then have one for just touring.. I find I cannot focus my camera with my gauge readers where they are, but I can read my gauges..

Freddie, I know a woman in our situation who is married to a retired eye dr. She always has a camera when she dives and has tried putting the "reading" portion in three different places.

First at the bottom but much higher than our gauge readers, then she had it in the middle for shooting straight ahead, then at the top because of all the pictures she takes upside down. I don't think she was happy with any set up.

I'll just buy new eyes. Check out this photo of Terry and I.

Everyone thought Terry was carrying an extra mask in case something happened, but he found it at the bottom of the mooring line. It belonged to someone on our skiff on that dive.

Thanks Donna, I loved my Sony CyberShot, too. I had the W10 I think. It fit the bill of a nice camera that was small enough to take on my second 3-Day walk. I also love my older (2003)Sony TRV80 video cam. It's SWEET!!!

Bill - hope that you're feeling 100% tomorrow :-)

I can't volunteer for the webcam duty but will try to check in here and there.

Time to get the grill going... hubby should be heading home soon. Nothing fancy tonight - especially since he said his pilot and he were chowing down on chips, guacamole and ckn wings at 5pm.... silly men!
