Does anyone have a problem with Nov 14 of 2010 instead of Oct. being it is more than a year to plan?

personally I think it is a bit near Thanksgiving but that is only my opinion....What ever the rest think.... I know Patrick will be there in Nov..

I can be there in 2009 for definite. Not sure about 2010.

There are so many of you I'd love to meet!

This year, all my leave is used up. Surgery left me with a zero balance, and the April wedding will have to be cheated, with 2 days annual leave and one day SICK leave. Then I'm out of leave again.

So no big vaca's this year, but for the wedding and the family reunion in July at Ft. Lauderdale.

But of course, I live in FL, so every weekend is a potential dive weekend, so it's all good.

We are a maybe for 2010...not sure if we will still be employed.

I'm going with Patrick, NOVEMBER 2010. MegaMeet

2009 I'll be up for October. (minimeet?)

I think the 2010 mini meet should be someplace else {especially if the 2009 meet takes place}..other than LV.. anyone else think that way??

What about the Bahamas, Snuggly?? It's usually cheap to fly there...I think...
But I don't wanna dive w/ sharks!!

Shark diving is great, but food and cost of hotels not too great. We honeymooned there, so going back might be fun.

The Keys were my first love, until Bonaire. :-)

Hey about Bonaire in 2010 for the Coral Spawning in September. For a BT Mega meet how could it be any where else. Sept is also the down season.

Spawning should be around 11th Sept to 17th September.

I was gonna say the Keys, then G said Bahama's was cheaper. I live in FL and have only been as far as Key Largo!! I SO want to go to the Keys one day.

I have also only been to Key Largo and Key West. We flew to Key West one trip and drove to Key Largo from Ft. Lauderdale. I have not seen what is in between like Big Pine or Islamorada. They look great as well. Key Largo is very kewelll, and very easy to get to. I think we got there from Ft. Lauderdale in about 1 and a half hours.

We learnt to dive in Key Largo and did our advanced and rescue there in later years, we also have happy memories of dives in Key West.

Years back we had a week in Key Largo and a week in Marathon interrupted by Hurricane Lily we left and drove to Crystal River 360 mles north and wow what a location that was.

I love the Keys.. have been to Marathon Key twice.

I'm voting for the Keys in 2010!!! Sarah, did you dive the Thunderbolt wreck? I want to do a night dive on the Balboa and a day dive on the Spiegle Grove.

If it's the Keys in 2010 I would make every effort possibe to be there :-)

I'd do the Keys in 2010. I love the Keys, including the long, leisurely drive down to Key West from Miami. Diving would just be a bonus.

The Keys is a definite maybe for us. It just depends on the dates. As much as I love you guys, I can't cancel classes to go on vacation.

When we go to the Keys, we typically rent a house at Key Colony Beach (Marathon) that way we can drive up or down as needed. The houses are very reasonable and most of them come with boat dockage and Caribbean Club (access to beach, pool, hot tub, bar).

Did you say bar?

Tribs, do they rent for just a weekend?
