Not only is the weekend just around the corner, but my trip to Bonaire is a SINGLE DIGIT COUNTDOWN now!!

I have to work today on my day off, but.....no fear...it's FRIDAY and it's ALL GOOD!!!

Oh... and Amanda was offered a very attractive grad school position to a school that she didn't even apply to...she's still in the decision making process, so I won't say where right now, but it's very exciting for her and looks like a great opportunity!! Hard work pays off!

Ok, so no one wants to play today??

This is Annemarie's 3rd day without her boot. She is doing good...YAY!! The muscle in that leg is fairly atrophied , so she is doing exercises. The pain is pretty much gone though. Great news huh!! YAY

I had a very insane week in work, as it is now we start getting the kids ready for program planning for next year. The funny part about it is that I am doing most of the work, as department chair, and won't be here next year to see the fruits of my labor. Oh well, legacy, what can I say? Not much going on this weekend, and that is just fine with me. Last weekend was a bit crazy, as my daughter, Kate, was in from San Francisco. Hope all you guys are well.

Donna, my fellow Pennsylvanian, good work on such a great daughter. It sounds as though that girl has her stuff really wired.Have a blast with her down on Bonaire.

This weekend will be a cooking fest. I have some friends coming in tonight for the weekend. Real foodies, so tomorrow evening we get to make each other diner, It will be a tapas style meal. Everything from scallops, tuna, smoked rack of lamb, smoked duck brest, on and on. Wine might be served as well.

Wow, Jerry! Sounds like a good time. Be sure to drop a little on the floor for your buddy.

Now I'm really hungry and have 58 cents on me. I'll be back after going to the ATM.

Morning everyone!!

Funny/Scary story from last night. Rasta and I got home just at dusk and usually both cats are right there waiting for dinner. Little Guy was but no Bob.

This definitely set off my alarms because I've cut back on Bob's food (he's gotten so rotund that he has to squeeze to get through the cat door) so he never misses meal time.
I waited an hour or so then took Rasta out to look for him at the neighbors. He loves Rasta and will usually come running out at her feet as we pass. We didn't find him but I could hear him crying
I took Rasta home (two doors down) and went back to the neighbor's (they weren't home). Sure enough old Handsome Bob had gotten himself locked in a shed. Goofy arse cat!!!!

Donna I'm so excited for you --- Bonaire will exceed your expectations!!

Hi kids!! I've been playing w/ my new pastels. I did a pic of Bas and it was so fun doing it!!! BUT I didn't set the drawing down and walk away and look at it from across the room(that really helps when you draw something). His eyes are too close together. Looks like I may get a scholarship to the Stupid School of Art!! I had fun doing it and it was the first time I've used pastels in like 25 years. So, now to try another one.

Tara I'm so glad that you found Bob. I get so insanely scared when I can't find Bas. And he doesn't even go outside. He's been trying to get out the door lately. I have to be REALLY careful!

FOOD!!! Jerry, you are making me hungry. I'm still drinking coffee and haven't eaten anything today. I'll be there this weekend!!
