Good Morning Denise and everyone else!

It's not anywhere near as cold here as yesterday! It's 16 degrees! :-)

I voted!! :-) :-)

I am so sick of the passport process...now I have to send the state of NJ my marriage certificate to prove I am who I say I am before I can get the "new" birth certificate the passport people in philly...I HAVE a real birth certificate from the county I was born in WITH a raised seal AND I sent a copy of my driver's liscense to NJ along with a copy of the old certificate. I know this is supposed to be for our protection, but...this is getting ridiculous. I KNOW the government can find out WHATEVER they want and my social security # should be linked to both my married and maiden names....ahh..I am going to call today. I need my passport in exactly 1 month and it's making me nervous.

and the clincher...THEY spelled my name wrong on the envelope!!!!!!!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!!!!!
:-)

Good morning all... still only in the mid 40's here, but the sun is shining :-)

Sounds frustrating, Donna.. but I'm certain it will all work out in the end.. :-) I'm currently applying for my US permanent residency... my goodness, there's so much to do! However, I'm almost there! I have to get this, just in case my hubby has to move back for a while.. :-)

I'm back to work this afternoon.

Good morning all. I am fixun to open that passport bag of worms. Our passports come up for renewal this year. Oh the joys of dealing with government morons (although I'm sure they are nice people and respect their parents and do not abuse children, waitstaff or dogs). They are nevertheless morons.

Good morning, gang.

I am still at home deciding if I want to venture out. It's sleeting and snowing here. Supposedly 5" of the white, fluffy stuff by the time it's all done. Not too much but just enough to mess up the roads and my flip flop wearing activities!!!

Donna, keep plugging along. It will happen but BE FIRM with those idiots and stress the urgency and your timeline!
Cecil hit it on the head.
I will be right behind you guys as we expire in March so must take care of business in case I have to flee in a hurry LOL!

Sarah, hugs to you!!! Good luck with your process as well. We'd love to have you visit and stay if you can:-)

Morning all! I like your word BH, but how is it pronounced? :-) You passport people, hang in there. Sometimes it goes smoothly and other times, well, it can be quite colorful. It will work out. Donna, when you call ask about the pass card and see if that would be quicker than the passport. I think the card works in the Caribbean (be sure to ask for confirmation of that).

morning all. Happy Tuesday.
Donna, hang in there, so frustrating, I know!
Mine isnt due till 2012, so I have a bit.

I looked into the pass card, I think it is good for Canada and the Bahamas?? I am not sure though. For some reason when I checked on It I thought I could not use it for BON.
NOW, I am not for sure though, hehe. Short term memory thing, huh-uh, not old,

Morning all! Chilly here too, I think it dipped in to the 30's last night!

Donna, Tribs - the passcard is good as long as you don't go anywhere else further than the Caribbean. Lisa is renewing her passport and went with the book. And while it's not as frustrating as your experience Donna, we feel your pain. She had her passport amended with her married name after we got hitched, but no where on the website does it mention this. She did take her application to our local agency and they said it is filled out correctly.

Funny BH!

I will not talk politics but, I will share with you my stimulus plan.

If I was the man I would take every so called middle-class tax paying home owner and buy down their mortgage 2 points....the lenders would get an influx of cash they could re-loan...I would have a couple hundred more bucks to spend which would put in more tax money and help the business owners when I buy their products and that would mean they need to hire more people and on and on.

Also I would make Harley trim the price on accessories by at least 50%....I need some new pipes, tires, & 25,000 mile service.

Just a thought.

Krispi, I feel you pain! I don't remember what the prices were for the DUI stuff we tried out 8 years ago. Just assume anything that is fun or necessary will cost you an arm and a leg.
Since I'm handy with the sewing machine I would whip up something myself, but we don't have a need for dry suits.
I'll look for some alternatives for you.

Brad, I'm on FB too "cynde jane" :-)

Linda, I have two suitcases...the "dirty one" and the "clean one." I'm grabbing clothes from the clean one. I also soak my wetsuit, et. all a couple of times during my trip with fabric softener, it helps with the stank...LOL!

OK, gotta make more sugary donuts for Kimo:-)

Krispi, I'm in the zone. I'll have to come clean with all this sugary donut talk. I am eating/savoring a really chocolatie brownie with chocolate frosting. The boss had left overs from yesterdays meeting.
As BH would say: Good-googly-moogly!!!! :-)

Kristi, I think the polypropylene would be a base layer. You would probably need an additional layer like Polartec.

Lisa and I have neoprene drysuits...Lisa wears Polartec under her drysuit. I wear something more along the lines of the poly. We buy that type of stuff mostly at Cabela's.

Thanks Brad...Kenny wants to go to the Outdoor World in Nashville, he says for stuff to wear as undergarments, but I think it is just a ploy!
I am still looking for polartec stuff but it isn't cheap!

Linda...oh my, yummy, yum, yum
I LOVE chocolate brownies! I really like the crunchie parts along the edges...my mouth is watering hahaslirp

Brownies sound GOOD!!!:-)

I have done my cleaning, except the bathrooms, grocery shopped and went to the doc. I told him, "21 years ago today I was in this same postition...and you had your head stuck right there where it is now...are you lookin' to have some kind of reunion or what??!!!!!"

Luckily he has a great sense of humor.:-)

Well, I'm sitting here w/ the house pretty clean and a big cooler with a variety of beer in it. Should I or shouldn't I??? What would Pres. BH say....I know I'd say "Why wait til 5? It's 4 o'clock somewhere!!!"

Tater Tot casserole? Hmmmm I may have to hear more about this! Sounds yummy.

The girls stayed home, today, with their Daddy and I am amazed when I got home that:
1. They have water in their bowls
2. There are NO stink pickles
3. There are NO dirty dishes in the sick
4. The house is somewhat in order

They all must have slept all day :-)

Thursday funny on Tuesday:

A blonde is watching the news with her husband when the newscaster says "Two
Brazilian men die in a skydiving accident."

The blonde starts crying to her husband, sobbing "That's horrible!!! So many men
dying that way!"
Confused, he says, "Yes dear, it is sad, but they were skydiving, and there is
always that risk involved."

After a few minutes, the blonde, still sobbing, says, "How many is a Brazilian?"
