Good Morning all, the coffee is on.

I hope all the Furkids are recovering.

I bought Sue a Wii as one of her presents, I didn't know much the sports pack games could make you ache!! I also bought the Wii game Endless Ocean which about diving, must be written by a none diver as the divers hoses are all trailing and then it talks about controlling your FLIPPER movements.

Thanks Roy good work on this.

Good morning Brian, Eileen and all to follow.
I voted.
Brian, sounds like you all are having too much fun with the WII. :-)
Eileen, hope to see more of you today. Glad your family was over yesterday. I know you took pictures. :-)

I am kitty & fish sitting this weekend, so I left the house earlier than normal to take care of my 5 charges before going to class. The four cats are a hoot to play with.

When I get back from class and kitties I plan on futzing around with my dive gear.
What is the best way to store my backplate system and my regulators? Right now they are on their hanger and the backplate system is assembled. One of my friends takes her system apart.
Any suggestions opinions?

Anyway, this is where I found my cat yesterday. Up in a closet sitting on my reg bag.

See ya'll later.

I voted for PS and Timmmy too! Remember, today is the last day of round 1 for PS so vote early and vote often! :-) Let's see if we can get her to number 2!!!

I agree with Linda, Smack - beer is definitely a breakfast beverage if you've worked all night. Crack one open, you've earned it. It's 5pm somewhere:-)

Yesterday was 48 - much of the snow melted, I have an ice rink behind my barn. Today is 20 with more snow coming. Ugh... make up your mind, winter or NOT!

Good Morning Everyone!!:-)

Tribs, I love the squirrel pics!! Definitely keep them coming!!:-)
And now that the pool is ready we can do that house exchange!!:-):-):-)

Smack, HECK YEAH!!! Beer is ALWAYS a breakfast beverage! Now, the pop-tarts...more of an afternoon appetizer...

So, mom just called. She is beyond ready to go pick up Willy!! Don't worry, we have had beagles my whole life. My first dog was a beagle, so was Kayla's. And as far as the howling, you should hear Noel!! She howls and it is ear piercing!! I love pit bulls, but my mom has had health problems and isn't strong enough to walk a pit. Willy is just right. And a very good, trained, adult dog. It's a perfect match. So...
IT'S ALL GOOD!!!!:-)

But thanks for the input and suggestions.:-):-):-)

Good morning, Jerry.

What's everyone going to get into today?

I'm off to church to survey some food stuffs for Tuesdays' soup kitchen. I have to go out of town, unexpectedly, so need things in order for my absence.

Last week, I got one of those dreaded calls none of us want. My uncle (Dad's sister's hubby) died on Christmas Day sooooooooo I will be heading back to my hometown Tuesday night to be with my Dad's side of the family.

I am not close with this branch of my family tree and seeing them will be bittersweet. UGH.....I think I am now ready to embrace 2009!!!!

Hey. Back from the gym and kitty sitting. These cats are too much fun - full of play and purring so that makes taking care of them a pleasure.
Hi to all that have joined since I left. In my picture, closet kitty is looking for a way to the purrfect hiding place. Don't know where that is.

PS, Terry loves Beagles. Has never had one, but thinks they are lovable. My family had one when was little. He was a fun dog. Post pictures when you can.

Kobi. So sorry about the death in the family. Always is tough when there are issues, too.

Tribs, your pictures are always welcome. I wonder if the dark squirrel is family or a friend.

Donna, When it's icky and rainy here I crack open the craft stuff to make the time pass. Or a good book. :-)

Becky, You and Smack can have the beer, I'll take the Pop Tart. :-)

Chores are calling me. See you later.

Non shedding dogs - I've been told poodles are good. I've only had big time shedders myself. Hopefully Becky will chime in on that.

Well....I have 5 more pics. :-)

This is the guy who ate one of my birds the other day. He snatched it right off the deck.

This guy obviously has not missed a meal.

My baby Daryl

My annoyed Purrseus. He gets upset when Daryl is on walk-a-bout.

The three of them, trying to behave.

Elaine...are you looking for a non/low shedding dog or is it an allergy issue? For allergies, I've heard good things about Labradoodles and Irish Setters. If it is shedding, avoid Sherpherds and Huskies. They leave clumps big enough to be mistaken as puppies. LOL! I never realized how much Socrates shedded until he was gone. That dog (Sherherd/Husky/Rot mix) shedded more than my 6 cats put together.

I'm so happy you are going with a pound puppy. Make sure to ask the hard questions. Do they know why the dog is there? What were the problems, etc... Mitch posted on another thread that there are no bad dogs. He is right. What goes bad is when the dog does not match the personality of the owner. KARE recently rescued a Beagle on death row. He was being put down that day because the dog was a runner/climber/can't stop moving ever type of dog. No one could handle him. He had been bounced between several shelters and 3 different states. We had to Beagle-proof the facility, but now he runs all day long all over the property. Then he snores all night long. LOL! Be sure to ask the questions so you get a good pound puppy fit.

We're going for a walk on the beach with Ms. Rasta, then breakfast, then.... get ready for this....
COSTCO, Linens & Things (store closing sale) and Home Depot.
The rest of the day will be spent home puttering.
Santa brought Guy a new mortising attachment that needs attention. We both got a library of new books :-)
We've got steak and lobster for dinner and I'll make that ginger curry carrot soup (Guy's favorite).

Tribs - please don't stop posting the squirrel pics. I miss those little buggers.
Linda - sounds like a fun task and good deed.
PegiSue - YIPPPPPEEE!!!! I can't wait to see Willy. I'm glad to hear that Mom will have a new family member filling her home.

Brian, thank you! Sounds like you had a good but busy day. Hope your pups are doing well. Can you fly over and wash our three cars; they are filthy! LOL

Tribs, thanks for the pics. I LOVE Daryl; beautiful bird. Now for the hawk? Eeeek.....they wig me out. Have heard my share of scary stories of Yorkies/smaller pups getting carried off by large hawks. Rob saw a small one last week!
They are beautiful but only at a distance :-)

Tribs, Love your pictures. Daryl is quite handsome. Love the hawk!! If I'm luck on my drive home from work I see 1 or 2 red shoulder hawks or whatever is common here along with a handful of Osprey. They make it worth the long drive. And yes, looks like Mr. Squirrel has not missed a meal. :-):-):-)

Tribsey, what kind of hawk is that? I don't recognize it.

Around here, it's almost always a red tailed hawk we see; even if you think you've spotted something exotic, it always turns out to be a red tail.

I do have some sharp shinned hawks that swoop on my deck sometimes....hate them going after my big dumb doves...I can be sure of them because of their yellow legs(I think I'm sure...).

He just came in the house, sniffed around with his tail wagging the whole time, made himself at home and Momma's HAPPY!! It's like he's been there forever. He goes to the door to go out, doesn't care about her cats, just ALL GOOD!!! I've never seen a dog fit in somewhere better than Willy has at Mom's. And she could not be happier. What a sweet boy!!:-):-)

Yes, he is on a diet....and they will be going on walks together. I have to go over and take him for drives, he loves hangin' out the window! I drove him around the block, I figure he hasn't got to do that in a long time. Don't worry, we had his leash very tight and he couldn't get out. Just a little breeze through the ears!!:-):-)

It ended up a bit windy here today but got up to 65 degrees! I'm thinking everyone will be sick next week with all this yo yo weather.

I have to find something to wear to the funeral. Don't think I can get away with my work attire of jogging pants and flip flops?! :-)

Two pans, and a new high end food store opened. They stock everything under the sun, and charge you for it. Foie Gras by pound. Yes I bought some. We walked out with two small bags. $259.00
Sliced dry aged beef, smoked duck brest,10 year old aged cheese, BV from 1959. Dray aged tenerloin, $24.99 per pound. This store is going to be my hell on earth.

Hi FREDDIE!

Good evening all! Pan shopping? Hmmmm....

We have no water - at all. Total bummer. The kitchen sink had one of those annoying Amway filters on it when we bought the house. We never used it as it was connected to a separate spiket for cold water. Well....it started leaking. Wes tried to patch the leak. That didn't work. So it needed to be disconnected. Of course, the people who had the house before us did nothing correctly so we had to saw off the pipe and attach a new proper fitting. The pipe wouldn't sweat properly, or rather Wes couldn't sweat it. Here is the kicker...there is no shut off to the sink. We had to turn off the water to the house. :-( I so hope the plumber can come tomorrow.

How about some more critter pics to make me smile?

Tribs - have Wes pack the pipe with white bread dough (no crust) as far back as he can get it - then try to sweat it again - the dough keeps the dripping water back long enough for the pipe to get hot enough. When you turn the water back on the pressure with clear the bread plug.

Hey Mitch! Nice looking kid - Kaiser.

So while I was leaving PetsMart I found the cutest little 10 week old English Bull Dog. All white with a few tiny black spots and would match Ashlee. She was CUTE, but someone owned her.

Weimeriners are such sweet pups!!!
Thanks for sharing pics of him.

Tribs, sorry about all the troubles. I hope that you are back in action tomorrow!!!

Jerry, NICE outing you had today! That place sounds really nice.

Linda, Rob and I went to see a litter of white English Bulldogs one time, years ago. They were the cutest darn things I've seen. Momma bulldog was a big gal and she almost bowled me over though and the pups were running all over their living room....OMG they were cuties LOL!

Elaine - I have read rainy season is October to March with heavier rains Nov. to Jan.

I have been twice in Sept. and we got some tropical storm related rains.

They are usually over quickly.

I just did my evening round of voting. Timmmy you are in 14th place now. :-) PS is still in third. We need to get her to second.

Thanks for the advice on the pipe, but I think he is done. The wall is charred. :-( I've got to laugh at all of this because it is just too sad not to be funny. My one paranoia is water inside the house and everything that could leak has been leaking over the past 6 months. I will be a much stronger person when we get past all of this. Can't sweat the small stuff, nor the pipes. LOL!

No clue as to why I capitalized third. Must be bed time. Good night!
