It was dark, and not a noise could be heard,
then all of a sudden, it sounded like big bird,
i woke from my slumber to see what was the matter,
and what to my wondering eyes was all the clatter,
they were bright colored and many a hue,
at first i tilted my head and had not a clue,
then as i glanced up and started to rant,
I realized it was our own FANCY PANTS!

Seeing you back on the board posting brought a HUGE smile to my face, ever finish "the book?"

Kralendike has never been the same since we had the big bomb that pretty much took geology dave and the rest of the gang out....

Oh, and Happy Birthday too old man...please don't make this a flash in the pan and exit quickly, stick around buddy:-)

Ahhhhh,.....just one word from her & I've gone all weak at the knees!
But to other pressing matters ... Cynde ... of course I well know that you're a much respected role model for many of the folk in these waters, but they're likely to think that you've slipped off your trolley following your demented posting above. Most of 'em were just a twinkle in their parents eyes when we last "got it together" with Grendle's remains beneath Richter Mansions.
Hell, you've got me at it now. Must be contagious!

Be prepared for a smile or two... it's the only cure, I'm sure.

Well Andy, I've got this skin condition going any chance for a cure for that?

And if you spread papers make sure it's not any of those commie rags like Washington Post, Guardian or NY Times. I do not react well to liberal print, it's like a super ex-lax to me. I do well with Wall Street Journal, Enquirer or the Mirror (which is best).

If my dear old mum gave me just one good piece of advice, then surely it must be this ... "Son, steer well clear of women in black. They'll bring you nothing but grief!"

Mr FP, I would use the Sun and the Sport for Cecil. Much more colourful and entertaining than the broad sheets.

Hi Sarah

Don’t you think that you"re all showing a little too much respect for the potential "outfall" from Cecil? Personally, I'm sure that he's all just wind & pee. Mark my words ... there'll be nothing more substantial to clear up than a couple of damp classified ads.
Brian ... so comforting to see that you (& several others, who I think I remember) are still alive. It might please you to know that yours was the first post that caught my eye upon my return. I was quietly jealous of you ... It was Xmas day & you spoke of enjoying a hearty nut roast, I believe? Well, I'd just slumped onto my comfy old settee after a hard morning's shoveling. The day had already been plenty bad enough, what with servicing 80 or so living critters outside... But to find an almost equal number of dead ones propped up in various submissive poses around the house's interior was almost more than flesh could bear. Over the next 48 hrs or so, most of them managed to find their ways into the oven, or flung themselves headlong into pans of boiling water! Surely, this can't be in keeping with the spirit of Christmas?

Baking and boiling the indoor critters on Christmas? Andy, I wonder if anyone is actually reading...

Hmmm, maybe I should've chosen my words more carefully?
Whilst I've still got a few customers left, perhaps I should explain to any who misunderstood .... the dead indoor critters weren't "boarders" that had met untimely deaths whilst in my care. No, they were an assortment of birds, hogs & other farmyard stock that wisely hadn't made any plans for 2009.
Not convincing, is it?
Think I'll go check out the "situations vacant" column.
