Good morning all you early birds! Checking in with a -6 degrees this morning. Toasty! So our water issues actually grew yesterday. After we got the basement taken care of, and I had 1/2 bottle of wine, I decided to hook up the dishwasher. The faucet turned into a shower and all I could do was laugh. It sprayed every where except into the dishwasher. Oh well. We are getting a new faucet today and dishes will be done tonight. This is the last day for grading, so I will be MIA for most of it. Have a great day and stay safe and warm!

The sun will shining bright today. Tribs needs a plumber.

No more plumbers! Wes can fix the faucet. We still haven't gotten the bill from when the plumber was here on the 11th.

This morning I was being so quiet so I wouldn't wake anyone up, then there was the loudest bang and boom and crashing!! A shelf G had put over the door in the laundry room fell. It had so much stuff on it, but nothing broke! And no cats where under it! Everyone is up now!! Well, G slept thru it...LOL

Annemarie and I had a wonderful time at the Nutcracker. We then went to Opry Mills Mall and she actually got her ears pierced! WHOO-HOO!

I know, you say, she's 13 and hasn't done this??
Thats right. She was CHICKEN, haha. I am proud of her and her little ears look so pretty. I should have taken a picture. I told her it would only hurt a little. She got these cute little pink daisy ones. Well, they got stuck in the plastic thingy and they had to yank and pull. Needless to say it did hurt. She did good though and she worked the sympathy all day. hehe. Thats my girl!!

Good morning everyone!
Terry and I had a busy weekend. Friday night we went to his bosses home for a little holiday cheer.
He worked Saturday while I took Ashlee in for her yearly stuff. She whined all the way there, shedded all over the exam room, is in good health so no more tests (meow yeah!), purred all the way home.
Sunday was spent in two Best Buy stores. We needed to replace our monitor and set out to get on that day. The first store sold the last one that we wanted, so we went to the second store. Got there around 1pm - left around 3ish. UGH! I found the monitor, then Terry decided that we needed a sound system for the living room. Just a "box set" - nothing fancy. Three hours later we left with the cheaper box set and a monitor. My revenge is to take Terry to JoAnn Fabrics for 3 hours looking at and feeling fabrics.
So we go home and unload all the stuff. Turn on the computer and monitor. The monitor works - is as crisp and clear as the day we bought it. Terry will be returning the new monitor.

Olivia got her ears pierced when she was 5. OMG!! You would have thought they were killing her. But we survived that. THEN she went to her dad's and his new wife took the earrings out and put in other earrings too soon. They got infected. I put the other's back in, all was going good. Then dad decided he didn't want her ears pierced and took them out and let them close up. So, Olivia will be wearing clip-ons one day, I guess. I think we still have some of my grandmother's around somewhere. How stylin'!!!

I remember those days. Back in my little house on the prairie in Kansas next to Haskell Indian College.

We never take the screens off. We do lower the storm windows though. These are old windows.

Kristi I was in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and you couldn't get close to that place....talk about a nightmare.

I worked doing the phone wiring, fiber, and phone closets in that place for 12 weeks before it opened....you wouldn't believe what you can't see in that place.

BH, It was horrible. Took us over 30 minutes just to get off the highway and into the parking area. We were in no hurry, haha

I hear ya BlueHarley. Having RDD (Riding Deficit Disorder (sort of related to BDD - Bonaire Deficit Disorder) with the cold and ice and snow here. I have heated gear but at 10 degrees air temp and black ice the bike is not going to get any exercise for a little while. I hope to do the Polar Bear Ride on New Years Day if the forecast remains as it says now - dry and 40+ degrees.

we still have no heat in the building. it is freezing in here (ok, for a so cal gal). 45F out, and hovering around 55F in here. I have a pic on my cell i can forward if anyone would like to post what i look like. It's almost as good as my "morning" picture...

Tom, thanks!!! It's her pup that's ill She has a 13 year old Bichon and the end is very near. Once she's gone his mom will truly be alone!!! That was the one part of the trip that was gut wrenching. I spent most of Saturday morning, at the vet, with his Mom and her pup Mitzi.
She has CHF (Congestive heart failure)!

Good trip otherwise though.

Rob just popped in the new Mummy movie. Not sure I can get into it right now. Too many emails and catching up to do.
We watched Dark Knight last night so I'm a bit movied out.

I need a dive rattle myself; I am sure Terry will like that gift You bought a rattle and I bought size 4 panties (Pampers) for Rylan LOL!

Bless her heart she's getting a Little People Noah's Ark from us and some other cute toy things and Pampers!!! She'll learn to love me one day It's that want vs. need thing I suppose. I asked her Mommy and that's what she said she "needed"!

I hate to bail so early but I have tons to do before tomorrow. Cleaning before the cleaning lady comes LOL, wrapping a few gifts, read/sift through 100+ emails and then get things together for tomorrow's Christmas soup kitchen dinner.
