Today, I was the recipient of a BT Plant. I cannot tell you how thoughtful you guys are, or how much less isolated I feel in the middle of all this Stuff for your kindness.

BT started out as a place where I could discuss dive booties and surface swims, but it has certainly become a circle of friends for me now.

I had to pull up profile pics of everyone for my mom to see(Kobi, yours scared her a little!). She is saying "You know these people from where????"....

We're waiting for an appointment for a procedure called khyphoplasty which sounds too good to be true, and of course, it all takes time....

Barbara,
You are a wonderful & vital part of this great BT community! I am proud to know you and one day we will share a hug in person.

Please tell your Mom I don't wear a brass bra LOL! Hmmm I better fix that profile pic so she's not overly scared about who you hang out with in cyberspace!!

BIG hugs to you and your dear Mom!!! We love ya!

CB - you were such a ray of sunshine to send me an email containing such kindness and support when my dad was so ill. I don't know if I (could) ever properly express to you how very much your email meant to me. You, my dear, are a true friend, whether I've met you yet or not.:-) I do plan to get out that way sometime/somehow in 2009...
BT wouldn't be the same without you. You have a very unique sense of humor that I find hysterical :-)

Hugs to you and your mom... I promise more puppy pictures tonight and if we're lucky... some video of Josie and Jingles playing together!

CB, I have tears. I wish you would have reached out sooner, you KNOW we are here for you.

I'm just glad I asked my dry suit questions that got you to "come out";-)

Here is some good info on kyphoplasty. It's geared toward the medical professional, but it's a good article.

Kyphoplasty

Barbara, isn't it amazing how when you are so down and just think you can't take much more...there's BT. I know, I have a gardenia:-)

I found BT when G & I were taking a vacation to whatever island I wanted to go to. I googled small islands, and found Bonaire. We were planning the trip, then I found BT. Then I saw how yall were talking about diving (I had no idea about Bonaire and the diving). Then G told me he was certified (I had no idea that G was certified, and I've known him since I was 14). Then I posted one day. Then I got certified. Then we went on that vacation, to Bonaire. And here I am, with the best friends in the world.

Well, today we got turned down for khyphoplasty, and things were pretty low around here. Then the doorbell rang, and in came the most beautiful basket of plants in holiday colors. Cynde and Steve, they're beautiful, and picked my mom up so much. I am so touched.

Tom, Jerry, Tara, Kobi, Freddie and RosAnne, I printed off menus so my mom could enjoy browsing them.

I haven't felt like I've had much to contribute to BT lately, and I just can't believe this outpouring of kindness. I hope anybody else in our family who is feeling a little alienated will remember BT's broad shoulders.

God, I'm turning into a mushcicle.....

Barbara "CB", just keep sharing, the good and the not so good. I can not tell you how many times your posts have caused me to smile, remembering the time I was able to be with and by the side of my Mom over the past twelve years. Even the not so good days were gifts.
