Here's another link to follow to vote for PS ..
http://fracturedeye.com/denise/denisehomepg.html

I was able to fix my embedment yesterday :-) You can see that I am enjoying learning web page design. In the next week or so I'll be working on making my own photo galleries instead of using PhotoShop templates for Dream Weaver. I wish I could just stay home from work and play on my computer. It could be a mental health day - Ha!

Morning, What do mean Jerry? HOT FLASH lady's? Surely, you do not mean moi? Just back from getting bloodwork done, only took three sticks this time, so that is a good thing for me. Have to wait for a battery of other tests after the bloodwork results come in. Great fun.

Off to do some baking for the holidays. Have a great day everyone and I voted twice already today.

Check in later.

Hey Jerry, how did the cooking thing turn out? Might have missed that over the week-end? Hope it went well.

what about the heels Jerry?

Here ya go Kobi...

Sweet Potato-Pineapple Casserole

1/4 stick of butter melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can sweet potatoes (drained)
1 lg. can crushed pineapple (drain well)
Miniature marshmallows

Mash potatoes, mix in the 1st four ingredients. Line a casserole dish with a layer of pineapple potatoes & marshmallows.
Repeat layers.
Top with bread cubes.
Melt 1 stick butter. Spooon butter over bread cubes.

Bake at 325 until warm & browned
Approx. 30-45 minutes.

I slice several slices of bread into cubes for the topping.

I used about 5 real potatoes not canned. the canned yams have syrup...yuk..
I doubled everything but the sugar.

I also cut bread into cubes for the top instead of bread crumbs.

Man, talk about totally to die for and easy as you pleasy!! hehe

So our little Bas is feeling a bit better?

My LG sits and watches them on the laptop -- very cute :-)

He's walking more than the last 2 days, but still limping. The vet called today to check on him. I think I'm going to take him to another vet tomorrow and see what she will charge for this. She's in Wisconsin!!!!LOL

Pegi Pie are you coming up north? I got to warn you, we have snow. I bet Bas' big feet would do well in the snow. :-) Hugs to the little guy!

Gotta love a cat named Bas, which is a truly Bonairian (that shows up misspelled!) name. And perfect, if I might add.

I went onto the lanai just now, and there is a perfect alignment of Mars, Venus and the moon. Not as good as last night, but by the time the "photographers" got set up, there was cloud cover last night, but I saw it, was grand. But it's beautiful out now, and my hubby and BFF are trying to be professional about these shots. lol I'm the finder, it's up to the true photographers to shoot this. :-)

Ah, I feel hump day coming. Friday is our annual get together at work, with traditional foods and all, a multi cultural event, and the awards ceremony at Indian Rocks beach. Ick! I hate that part, as they think awards are enough to get over not having raises in 2 years, but we get from 3:00 off to explore the beach and gardens. I have enough awards to fill a room, but not enough raises. Ah well, in today's economy I'm just glad to have a "safe" job.

Maybe pics later. :-)

Kathy, if they get those pics you gotta post them!!:-)

At the NEMM I told Bas Richter that I had a cat named Bas. And that he was named after him. He said "That's weird. I've never had a cat named after me." The face he made was funny:-)

PS...you are always welcome to come visit. My door is always open. You might change you mind once the parrots start squawking, but you are welcome to visit whenever you want! (That goes for the rest of you too - but Jerry, if you come, you must bring wine :-) ).

Oh guys, gals, photographers....we'll have a 5 minute space next week to shoot the space shuttle going over, for 4 days, starting Monday, I think. OK, time for House!

(I think I'm gonna challenge the photographers to do a time lapse on the shuttle. :-)) I really would like to see it going across the sky in a perfect arc. Wishes, y'now. They become challenges to some.

Nite nite all.

Kristi, thanks for posting the recipe :-)
Hope Gail finds. Fresh yams, I am sure, are really yummy! I don't think it would ever taste the same with bread crumbs; you gotta do bread cubes :-)

Glad you liked it; we love it!!!

Soup Kitchen night so this gal is tired. We're chilling now and watching the plasma.

Kathy, nice pics. The sky has been clear and amazing here so we saw some beautiful bright planets and a cool moon too!

So Kristi - is that the high cal or low cal recipe? When I'm bringing it somewhere I always want the original high cal! And with bread cubes on top with no other topping than the melted butter, do they soak down into the marshmallows?

You said "Line a casserole dish with a layer of pineapple potatoes & marshmallows" And do you mix the pineapple with the sweet potatoes?

Just askin'! I really want to try it for Christmas!

Gail,
The recipe is my Mom's ancient recipe. You just layer the pineapple, potatoes and marshmallows; don't mix them together. Layer them in the pan until you're out :-) I always used canned but fresh yams/sweet potatoes can be used as well.

The one that Kristi posted is the original, real McCoy; high cal for sure but OMG good :-)
The butter isn't enough to soak through but let me tell ya it makes some awesome topping!!!
When I reheat it I always do it in the oven so the bread cubes stay crispy.
Enjoy it.....we do :-)

Boom, you weren't the only one that saw poor Ayumi get caught on her collar! I had the window open, and heard the SCREACHING like someone was getting murdered, but it was at the point where Mommy had her and must have been trying to get the collar off. Here's what daddy posted:

quote:

My wife is rushing home right now to help out Ayumi. do note that the pups have break-away collars so it SHOULD be popping off.

OMG I'm quoting from the puppy cam...I will need some serious help when they are gone!

Thanks Tinks :-) I didn't have the sound on - thank goodness - because I was listening to Christmas Music through Windows Media :-)
It was hard to watch the poor thing and another pup - I couldn't tell which one was trying to help her. I'm guessing it was Amaya - they seem to be bonded.
Can you imagine that conversation with your boss...
"Um, sorry boss, gotta run... the pups are in trouble... the world is watching!!"
Such pressure!
