Good morning from a cold and foggy UK. Have a great Saturday.

PegiSue finally got past the Pelican but it has snook back.

Good morning from a cold and WHITE Germany :-)

Hi Brian and those who follow....!

I was going to be driving around but think a visit to the Weihnachtsmarkt is more appropriate:-)

And the race continues................

The Angel has put on a spurt and retaken a single figure position

Go PS Go :-):-)

Looks like the fog has got the European BTers up early. I was really looking forward to a sleep in this morning but mother in law needs stuff. The only trouble is, she doesn't really NEED it. Usually we take her out for a fancy coffee at a farm shop or cake at a cafe on Saturday and then I take her to do a bit of shopping. This weekend her other son is coming to see her at the time we normally take her out so we were hoping to have one Saturday to ourselves. The phone rang at 9.00am and I am off to do bits of shopping and post some letters for her. Can you hear the resigned sigh? I do love her but just one Saturday off would have been nice. Still I can leave Bob asleep. He is working tomorrow, 5.30am start, and will be working next weekend so I'll let him snooze. Catch you all later. LUL (Love U Loads.)

PS's Angelfish is waaay better than many on there - and yes - what is up with #2 Painting? (Someone mentionned this yesterday so I had to check it out!)

Good Morning Brian, Roy and Julia! And all! I have a great day ahead, we are going to the Bake Sale (proceeds go to community efforts) and I pick up some meat pies as I do not make those, there is a lot there as I dropped off my stuff last night. We are going to the festival of trees again this year and we have neighbours coming for dinner with their son! Should be fun!

I just walked the granddog to the beach here and OMG the sunrise was wonderful all red and purple, Not as good as Sunrises on Bonaire but when you have Bonaire in your heart all sunrises are beautiful... hope everyone has a great day I know that I will now that I have seen the sunrise,,,,

Good morning Brian, Roy, Julia, Eileen, Freddie and all to follow.
Julia, you're a good woman taking care of you MIL an letting your husband sleep. I had to nudge my husband at 5:17 am this morning for work. Hated to do that as he still is getting over a nasty head/chest cold.
Brian, thanks again for the links. I voted:-):-)
Roy, be careful driving today in the fog.
Eileen, the festival of trees sounds like fun. Take pictures. :-)
Freddie, I missed our sunrise - glad yours was beautiful.

I'm off to spin in a few minutes. Then I'll see what kind of mischief I can get into today.

Good Morning all! I slept in a little again this morning, it felt wonderful and I did NOT want to get up! Yesterday, Daniel, Amanda, Andrea and I went to do a little Christmas shopping in the late afternoon and then had pizza out. It was fun. Then Andrea and I watched "The Family Man" on TV, which was good and relaxing. I'm really enjoying this holiday weekend with my family!! :-)

Festival of trees sounds great, Eileen.

Today the girls and I have a baby shower for an old friend of the girls who moved away, but is back in the area to visit family. We haven't seen the family for a while, so it should be fun.

I voted for Pegi!!
Anyone with info/suggestions on underwater cameras please jump in on the thread on that subject I started last night...thanks!! :-)

Good Morning Everyone!!:-)

Brian, thanks for the links! I just keep going and "viewing"...it's making my score higher. I know it's not the best thing on there, but I got up to 3rd at the beginning then started losing ground. Now that yall are posting the links like you are, it's going back up. I still don't understand the "how often you can vote" thing, it changes all the time. Very strange...
I thank ALL of you for still voting!!:-)

I don't have anything planned for today. My mom has one of my niece's and her husband coming over today to help get some stuff done around the house. My sister went home. Kayla's working. Olivia's gone to Sea World with her dad. Rafe is...Rafe. G has to work. I think I'll putz around here and maybe I'll paint, lay in the sun, do some laundry. Or I'll do nothing. I'm good at that!:-)

Morning BT! It is very cold here this morning, Brandon has a soccer game in 45 minutes, but I just couldn't go to it, way too cold for me. Dad went with him, last game of the tourney, I was there all day yesterday, he played well, they won one and then lost one by one goal. It was a very good game, even though they lost it, really shouldn't have, as the kid was off sides and goal shouldn't have counted, but that fact is mute, as all that matters is what the ref. says.

Oh, I voted for PS too, I find the voting thingie very strange, as I can just keep on voting as long as I log off and then log back on, it allows me to vote over again. Then log off and back, I can vote again. Strange. Did that at least 4 times since getting up today. Not sure how often they update votes to be able to tell if they are all actually counting or not, but it takes my vote and thanks me for voting, so I am assuming that all of them are making it? It works on Brian's first link, but not on the second link.

Not sure what I am going to do today yet, still waking up here. But it will be inside whatever it is! :-)

Enjoy the week-end everyone!

Good morning. :-)

Doing nothing here but making bacon and waffles and sitting on the lanai with the newspaper. Saw a bald eagle swoop down and catch a rather large fish earlier. It was almost too big for her to carry!

And we've got some kind of bird in the banana trees that's mocking my cat. Don't know what it is, but it's pretty funny.

OK, off to finish lazing, then we'll put up the tree. I don't know where yet, but we'll work it out. :-)

Hi again. Back from class and feeling good.
For about 8 months a stand alone building across from the gym has been under construction. Turns out it's a Ferrari dealership - in little Palm Harbor. So I mustered up the courage to go over and speak to someone in charge to see if there was going to be a grand opening or some event and to see if they needed a charity of choice. Always working. The general manager was there and was very nice - talked about the business and giving back to the community. I'm sending them some information Monday. :-):-):-)

Doing a cooking class tomorrow afternoon for a friend that wants to cook a french diner for her husbands birthday. They took the menu back with them when they where in Paris a few years ago. Her hubby fell in love with that Bistro. This lady loves to cook but has no time, she's a plastic sergeant and chef of staff at the hospital, I don't know how she does it?

Took us a week to find all the needed ingredients, prep time will be the killer here.

Had to buy double of everything as she will have to do it twice. Tomorrow and then again next Sat night.

We will try a few wins as well as she can not remember what they had. This will be a fun afternoon.

Tom would love this diner, duck confit is part of it.

Yes, I will get to eat. The presentation is very important at this level of cooking, and the outrageous cost of the ingredients. We have a description from the menu, but not it's presentation, we will have to wing it.

Well Jerry, wing some my way and I don't care how it looks - just how it tastes. Presentation is important at nice restaurants and occasions like your friends.

Tribs, No orange kitty, please. The General Manager of the dealership made it easy for me to talk to him. He has to be that way in order to deal with the public and sell the product. But they are sincere about the give back. That's a good thing.

AHHH what happened to his head???? :-)

PS, I have been voting all along for you! I think the painting is beautiful.
Please just an opinion so take it for what it's worth, all the other photo's have a description or an anecdote attached about how the picture came about, maybe you should add one. For me it makes me feel more connected, like I know something about the artist and painting.

I'm just sitting there going from my profile to my paintings, just view, click to profile, click on another painting, profile, back and forth. It's raising my score. And I have such a life going on today...LOL

Good morning west coasters & good evening over the ponder's :-)

It's turkey day for us :-) The bird has thawed so it will be game on shortly in this house! I supposed I'll cook his a@@ today since he's thawed. I am dreading peeling potato's for just Rob and I BUT I need to mash them before they start growing eyes :-)

5 times I've voted today. :-) And it's early!

OMGosh I've been shopping for all this Hannah Montana and HS Musical stuff. My grands are all into all that. I esp like the Hannah Montana microphone. lol I might buy one for the house for Christmas! :-)

Reminds me of when my kids were tweens, and I was divorced living in the little house on the lake with the pink marble fireplace (such a girly place), and I bought a stereo outfit with a CD player (OLD TIMES) and a microphone, and the girls and their friends and even my sis and brother would sing kareoke, was a fun time of my life. Simple things. :-)

Anyone up for a turkey sandwich? :D

Well Jerry, I had that last night! Sorta! It is so hard not to use front teeth! :-)

I have to eat soft things that don't require biting with front teeth, so a turkey sandwich and chicken and stars soup in a coffee cup works for me...today.

Kinda gross but a funny, as Cali demands turkey all through the day. She's a turkey-holic and looooves me to cook a turkey. So last night during a movie break, I was out on the lanai holding her over my shoulder (her fave position, it's like how you burp a baby), and she turkey farted on me! lololol Sheesh and peeeeeuuuuwww!

I'm watching college football and yelling obscenities at the plasma :-) It's an exciting day here.

A short story from my world:

Some kind of funny went on with me yesterday afternoon & again this morning. My life is always dramatic, it seems, especially when you own your own business and work with Joe Public/Plumber/Electrician/Plant Manger/Maintenance Planner/Engineer!

I had to go to the office yesterday afternoon to sell a new motor to a local customer. This customer had a contractor from PA in their plant doing an install. Contractor called me needing a new motor. I love emergencies...cha ching!

Their old electric motor was bad as someone connected it wrong and it failed on Friday.
Contractor met me at the shop late yesterday and we made the sale. Took his money and said goodbye :-)

Phone rings this morning at 7:30 AM. Seems the new motor, sold yesterday, has a problem!
I suspected it was self induced and not a motor flaw/fault given the previous info that I had heard!
Warranties happen BUT not often with new motors.

It was comedy central about to take center stage!
Met them at 9 AM today to sell them, yet again, a new motor. I told them AND showed them how to connect the motor for high voltage (460 volt). Figured that would surely be enough?
An hour later they called back and said OOPS the electrician hooked this motor up wrong and it's burnt up! I'm like OK I have plenty more where that came from and I have a trip in May so how many do you want this time!?! LMAO

Said Electrician came with the contractors to pick up the THIRD new motor. Rob was with me this time as it was 10 am and we hadn't had brekie yet so we were going to make the sale and then eat on the way home.

The electrician was somewhat embarassed about his boo boo and I showed him how to read the motor nameplate! He said um I figured it out after the fact. I guess so after the motor started smoking and the amps went through the roof! DOH.....all I ask is you read the nameplate! And this guy voted a few weeks ago!!! LOL

Nameplates often have the connections on them. So reading it is pretty key! The one I sold them had the connection diagram ON THE NAMEPLATE; imagine that!?!?!

Began to wonder if the electrician got his degree from Sally Struthers?!? :-) Nice guy but cost the contractor time and money that was unnecessary!
I had to laugh and then I laughed harder as I drove on to the bank with their check!
You truly can't fix stupid but I love my job!!!!!

MORNING!!!! Such a dilemma... to post or see puppies :-) Ya'll win!
We had such a nice day yesterday. Rather than drive to Solvang (about an hour north) our friends drove south and we drove north and met 1/2 way at Lake Cachuma. It was a picture perfect day for a Leftovers picnic
picnic
Then we took a Nature Boat Tour of the lake --- 18 years I've lived here and not done this... it was so nice and informative
the view the view

I voted but it won't let me vote again for another 7hrs. I'm going to try voting from the office computer through LogMeIn. :-)

First I need a Puppy Shot!!!!

PS is no 8 and climbing!

Hamburger Helpless tonight, (Larry's choice!), the beef stroganoff kind, with extra sour cream, crushed peppercorns, parsley and garlic. Whole steamed green beans and garlic cheese biscuits. :-) And now finally, WINE! And putting up the tree after dinner. I forgot I got more islandy decorations at Macy's after Christmas sale last year. Should be nice. :-)

Plus one more day off! I love the holidays for this reason only. Well...y'know what I mean. But 4 days in a row is heaven.

So, are we officially NOT doing the BT Christmas card exchange? I know times are hard, but just want to hear it from the horse's mouth.

Kathy we love HH beef stroganoff :-) I didn't know you could add side items and make a complete meal LOL. In college that was one of our staple food :-)

I am going to bow out of doing cards this year; may send a few but won't be full steam like last year. Postage is high and I know a lot of folks are tighter this year than last :-(
I have 2 boxes of gifts to get to Hoppner House and the shelter so am saving pennies to pay the brown truck/plane.

Alrighty, tonight has been good. PS is moving up in the Brickfish voting, my Virginia Tech Hokies won their football game, looks like FL Gators might win too, I raked a few piles of leave and bagged them, & sold THREE motors to the same customer LOL!

I spent an hour in the kitchen and now have mashed potatoes & green bean casserole cooked and at the ready for tomorrow. The bird lives in the fridge another day!!
I'll get him tomorrow though:-) It really is all good!

Jerry, thanks for the giggles as always!!
You too, Tom :-)

Donna, I don't know much about underwater cameras...I have two, but I am not good at taking u/w pictures. It's a blonde thing. Kayla does great w/ my Sealife ReefMaster Mini. It does good for u/w and on land. But I don't know what it cost, G bought it for me when I first got certified. I'll post something on the other thread, in case someone knows something about them and wants to comment...:-)

Donna, I have a great u/w case for a 3 year old Cannon (will have to look up the type), but last year I saw some cameras that would fit the case for like, $30. You can have the case if you can find a camera to fit it. It was an excellent camera for me, taught me alot, though I'm a point and shoot person. Some people took this camera and made it do it's max. I never had the urge as Larry is Mr. Underwater National Geographic Photographer. lol But it does macro, zooms, has a high rating, all that.

OK, gotta show you ALL tonight. Was a perfect end to the day. Smiling crescent moon and all, reflected over water:

1

'Nite nite!
