I just found this product - online so I haven't seen them to know if they are as well made as they are clever but.....
they seem like such a great answer to eating healthier and saving money (by bringing lunch/breakfast to work).
Fit N Fresh containers

have any of you seen/used them?

I don't think my Albertson's carries them or I would have seen them by now...

Never seen them before but they are neat!
I like that there are ice rings/sections to keep things cold.
We use Lock N Lock containers that I buy from QVC but they don't have ice rings, etc. with them.

Let me know if you buy any!

I will Kobi. I've been taking cereal to work and having to put the cereal in a zip lock and the milk in a container... I like the breakfast one. There's even a container for the fruit :-)
And very clever salad containers with sections for the dressing.

We'll see how expensive they are but I'm guessing no too much by where they are sold :-)

btw - I found them from the Livestrong site you turned me on to. Still loving it ~ ThankS!!

Great idea for cereal!!!

I love that site! I, however, need to go there more often. My SIL sent me that link not long ago and I think it's awesome!
I decided, that tomorrow, I will input all my data and start keeping track of things. It will surely open my eyes to what I'm eating; right or wrong!

There is no place for the donuts!
Do you think a Big Mac will fit?

Oh Jerry I'm betting there's a special Krispy Kreme container :-) On CBS Sunday Morning this morning they did a report on a diner in Arizona call the Heart Attack Grill and they weren't kidding. They served Single, Double, Triple and Quadruple Bypass Burgers -- the Quadruple was 2lbs of meat and over 8,ooo calories. YIKES but the waitresses were all dressed like naughty nurses --- sort of a Hooters does ER!

Kobi, I've been using the diary for over a week but not adjusting my habits too much (other than exercising). It's amazing how many calories I've been eating :-) I'm trying to stick to 1600/day now. It's a great tool.

Dieting isn't working for me again.....
but the containers look like a good idea!

Donna, Kobi turned me onto www.livingstrong.com/thedailyplate
it's been a great source of info and the food diary is really easy. Journalling definitely helps :-)

Absolutely a journal helps. I really puts everything in perspective and you can get a handle of what you're doing, make adjustments and then hopefully see results.
It's baby steps for me again as I failed yet another attempt!

I saw that segment on the Heart Attack Grill! Can you imagine the cholesterol in a triple burger? Much less the quad....YEOW!!!

The site for the containers has some good ideas and recipes too.

Donna, I also joined a group on the livestrong site that commits to exercising every day --- it's been a great help to keeping me moving. Very inspiring. Check through the whole site- lots of good stuff there.

I am going to do the exercise thing as well. The site is really loaded with good information!!
Since I'm on this computer a lot anyway it makes sense to track things this way vs. me hand writing in a journal :-)

Good luck gals....we can be healthy!!!

I love adding that to the food journal --- it's nice to start the day (when I exercise) with a negative calorie count :-)
We can do it and come Spring we'll be feeling so goooood!

Hey Boom, I have those containers! The kids use it to bring lunches and snacks to school. I think I got them at Target. One thing I learned is to place the ice pacs flat or they freeze a little off centered and you can't make them fit into the containers.

Target has another brand that is similar that I also bought and they work just as well and cost less, they are called "Cool Gear".

Very cool! Thanks for the info RA. I'll check out Target online since the closest to us is about an hour drive. I really like the salad and soup container too :-)

Want a hit?
Eat less, workout more.

Don't eat crap food.
Do walk as much as you can.
Don't eat late at night.
Do eat small meals many times a day.
Don't over stuff yourself.
Do eat small amounts of everything.
Remember, wine is a food, it adds to your intake.

I just dropped my donut, crap!

Tara, Fit n Fresh container site is cool.
I've been saving $ forever bringing in both breakfast and lunch. I don't need an ice ring for my lunch bag - it's so freaking cold in here. Really.

All good advice, Jerry. If you get one of those Fit-n-Fresh containers you may be able to keep that Fresh feeling longer. LOL LOL
