I have to check out these puppies! Haven't had time and no it's not driving me crazy!!

Today I am extra busy... getting ready for Kedron's (though early) Bday party tomorrow. It will be challenging as I have all the kids with me...

Good Morning. I have to work today on my day off! :-( :-( and I'm tired! :-( :-(
BUTTTTT Andrea is coming home today...her Daddy is going to go pick her up and take her out for lunch and then tonight she'll be home for a whole week!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

This is our former nurse and her doggies yesterday...even though the little one looks like she's gonna bite me, she's the sweetest thing that flops to her back so you can pet her belly as soon as you start to pet her! :-)

Julie, Hunter and Sasha

Tink, those puppies are cute, just want to hug them.

Nitey nite Elaine.

Eileen, are you having a trial run on the frosting today? I'll put my bib on and be right over:-)

Donna, I hope your day gets better. When ever I am bummed because I have to work, I think of those that don't have a job and think
.
.
.
.
.
THEY CAN HAVE MINE:-)

Happy to read that Andrea is coming home and as a Dad, really happy to read that her Daddy is getting to have lunch, just he and his Princess:-) Wish Katie would move out so I can enjoy those types of lunches. KIDDING FOLKS, BACK OFF:-)

Our Thursday daughter wants to spend tonight and possibly tomorrow with us:-) Then she will be coming back Tuesday or Wednesday and staying a few more days:-):-):-)

I need to clear something up as I have received a few e-mails about our relationship with Jess. Jess is not a foster child, she is a wonderful 17 yo whose parents (divorced) both work some nights. For the most part she lives with her Daddy in a rural part of the Champlain Islands. Her parents, Pam and I feel better having her stay with us, rather than being alone. Pam and I love this young lady, she enjoys being with us so, it is a win-win situation. Besides, she keeps her room here cleaner than Ben and Katie keep their's and will even lie when I mess up a meal and say it is great:-) ROTFLMAO - SNORT!!!!

Extra, extra bonus for this ol man is, I have an extra daughter to hug and say good nite and good morning to when she is around:-)

Awwww! Sounds wonderful Tom!!

As for Icing, I hope you like pink, and light pink and dark pink and all shades of pink in between. It will be a chocolate cake though. No I am not making it. And guess what we will have all shades of pink balloons, and pink streamers and pink plates, pink forks and knives, pink cups. And yes we will have beer - and wine too. For the kids of course!! Pop for adults.

Good morning everyone! I voted!!!

I'm so excited for our football team. They made it to the NCAA (Division III) championship. Wooohooo! Go Spartans!!!! We are having a big send off at noon on campus. It should be a riot!

I love the doggie pics. I missed the puppy fun yesterday - too busy. Wes and I have been talking a lot about dogs. We both saw this awesome Mastiff yesterday. Hmmm....it may be getting close to time to get another dog. :-)

Tom - Medusas - LOL! Donna - it's Friday, make it Funday!!! Eileen - pink icing - wooohooo!

Hi SSG.

Jah-neeeen, I told Pam once that I wanted a mastiff, she said "No, they are too big!". I told her I didn't want a big mastiff, just a puppy, hoping she would forget that they grow. Did I tell you we got a Jack Russell Terrorist instead?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Tribs (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #6984) on Friday, November 21, 2008 - 9:05 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

Hi Vira!!! Tom - Ha! I have a friend who had both at the same time. That Jack Russel is nuts!!! Rigs never seems to tire out. Heidi, the English Mastiff, lounged around all day. She would occasionally raise her head and acknowledge you, but preferred to rest on her throne (aka the loveseat). LOL!

Good morning all you perky people. It must be the cold weather perking you all up!

I'm up early today because my neighbor is having Kobi's procedure this morning, and her son dropped her off at 7, but she needed someone to pick her up and drive her home at 9ish. So that's me! I'm just glad I didn't have to be the one to leave the house at 6:30!

Happy Friday!

Chuck, I enjoyed that video and am laughing my a** off. That song reminds me of what my 3 brothers and I do anytime one of our nieces (katie is still too young) brought their new boyfriends to a family dinner. The four of us would gather around the lad and 'splain' a few things to him. To date, those heart felt talks seem to have worked.

Folks, we don't do anything that any of you wouldn't do. As you all know the rewards are awesome. I was raised in a house where family members alone sometimes numbered nine people. My folks always had room for and food for anyone that needed it. A few of you know, one of my favorite memories was hearing my Dad say to my Mom "Lucy, put more water in the soup, we have company.".

Hi all!:-)

I have been at the high school, didn't think my son was there, I was right. Kayla thought he might be drinking, so I called the police and had them go w/ me to his dad's house. Luckily, the party that he had planned hadn't started yet, so no drinking. I just looked at him and said "C'mon, honey, time to go to school. Get your friend that's hiding and yall come on." I stayed so calm. I took them back to school. I have now talked w/ the deans and they will call me if he is not there. He has missed the last 2 days that his dad has been gone on a hunting trip. He thinks that because Kayla is staying w/ him, he can do whatever he wants. WELL, I found out that I CAN go to EVERY class w/ him. And I will start doing this, if needed. I actually think I may do this for a few days. We can hold hands as we walk to class and I can bring a picnic lunch for us....OH, and I'll wear my robe and fuzzy slippers and curlers in my hair!! It's gonna be GREAT FUN!!!:-)

I have to do something to get him back on track here. He's throwing his life away. I can't sit and watch that happen. I love him too much.
ps....I'm NOT getting Mother of the Year from him:-(

I'm pretty stessed out right now. That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do w/ one of my kids. Intervention. He hates me right now. And taking the police!! OMG! But I wanted him to see that I was serious. Yet, I was as sweet as I could be to him. Even when he was cussing me out, telling people that I was NOT his mother, telling me that I can't make him do anything...
I really don't know what I will have to do next. Hopefully he will calm down and see that I'm only doing this because I love him. I would like to find a place where he could get some counseling, but the school can't help me w/ that...Odd....

I haven't gone overboard here, he has been skipping for a while now. He has straight F's. He's in 9th grade at 16, and does not care. He wants he dr. license, but I don't feel he's responsible enough for that, and hasn't shown me any reason to get it. Yet, he told me, in front of the cops, that he drove yesterday BY HIMSELF!!! They didn't seem to care about that!!!!

RAFE ---- young man, gitcher butt to school!!! You've got plenty of years ahead of you that won't include classrooms :-)

Hugs my friend!

I know he loves me. I think he understands. Once he calms down, and realizes HOW MUCH I love him, and I'm just trying to help him, it will all be good. His dad doesn't know what to do anymore. I haven't known what to do. This is Step 1. After this, I will find somewhere for him to go, to at least get done w/ school, and learn how to prepare for adult life. He thinks he can go live in the woods and hunt, for a living....He aint no Grizzly Adams!!:-(

I take the chardonnay warnings seriously! Just after a gorgeous sunset here, and pouring glass #2. Fridays are so freakin' wonderful. :-)

They took our streaming video ability away at work again, sigh. But I can still see the puppies!

Don't hate me, but it's very nice here. Yeah, a little chilly for FL standards, but still in shorts and a tshirt kinda thing, and SOCKS, but that's as far as it goes. It's very fresh and pleasant. No humidity means I can put waves in my hair and stuff. lol That's always good.

I don't know, I'm just very happy tonight. It's been a good week. And I gave away the last of my deceased FIL's things today, including his cane collection. He was such a hater, I felt good seeing a man walk off with his fish head cane with jewels in it's eyes, for a man living in a shelter who is so intent on getting his life back together. I love my clients, and I have to admit a bit a joy when I see people take things from a hater, who are going to use them for good. And they appreciate them.

Haven't even considered dinner yet. Pizza night? lol

Hope you all have a good one. I've got a TV, 2 computers and 3 printers to get rid of, and I've got to redo the living room and entertainment center to accommodate this new TV and all the extras.

Gotta start baking this weekend as well, as our private thanksgiving party at work is Monday. Sweet potatoe casserole anyone? :-)

Have a great weekend, all of you.

Roy, big healing hugs coming your way! It's the dawn of a new day, over the pond, and I'm hoping that Saturday will find you feeling better.

Seems the cam pups are sleeping and that's what's about to come over my house soon :-) We're still watching the plasma but our furkids are down for the count.

Christmas tree is up and decorated; we have gone where no one in this family has ever gone! That deed has never been completed before Thanksgiving, ever!
Tomorrow I will attempt to wrap a few Rylan presents and then get into something :-)
BIG hugs to those that need and want them.

Good night
