It's a new day, the sun is out and we are breathing. Caymus is ok, test came back and all is well.

Good Morning Jerry. That's great news about Caymus. I came home from work yesterday and hugged my fur friend after all that happened yesterday.
This mornings walk was chilly with clear and starry skies. If my luck holds out today, I will finish this gosh awful mailing today.
Donna, I need my link to vote. I'll just go to yesterday's thread.
Have a great day. I'll be watching.

Good morning folks!!!

Jerry great news about the Golden Boy but, quit yer lying. The sun isn't out here and what is up with the little white flakey thingies I keep seeing. Don't even say residual effects, don't even say that:-)

Linda, I know what you mean about fur kids. Sadie was a poot last night and this morning - DEMANDING lap time, more than usual. She got it, no questions. NOW IF THOSE CATS WOULD JUST STOP THEIR PLAYING AT 4 a.m.(ish). Fourty pounds (plus) of cats thinking they are kittens is noisey.

Back at the easy job today so, I am available to coach people on how to push the envelope. Not gonna wear socks tho, that is not in the contract.

Morning Tom,
That white flaky stuff can be taken care of with a little Head & Shoulders.

It must sound like elephants stampeding at your house. 40+ lbs of cats? Whew! My little one has been snugging up to steal my body heat for a month now.

thhhhhhhhhhhhhppppppppppppppffffffffffffftttttttttt!!!:-):-):-) Ahhhhhhh, it always feels good to give raspberries before noon.

Linda, I'll trade you Sadie for Ashley, we are always open to having another cat adopt us.

Riley snuggles when you are reading a book or surfing on your laptop, only problem is he wants to lay on your book or keyboard. Wilbur on the other hand prefers to sit on the back of your chair and will massage (with claws like talons) your hair. At night Riley and Wilbur are prone to enjoy laying across your chest or feet. Either way, when you wake up, feeling like you have pneumonia or, stumbling to the bathroom on numb feet, it can be a challenge

a. to breath.
b. make it in time.

No Jerry, Pam won't let me take the coffee can to bed:-)

Did you ever put screws in Tioga's Farmer Johns so you could ride icey and s**wy trails? I went through a lot of tubes in those days. I am glad, I became ol*, er mature, lazy and developed an aversion to cold:-)

Good Morning Everyone!!:-)

Tom, I can SO relate. Spice and Bas start at 4am. That is when Bas gets his "how to kick the dogs a@@ training." Spice body slams him and Bas just keeps comin' back for more. And it is NOT quiet!! Spice weighed 19 1/2 lbs. about 2 weeks ago...as much kitten food as he's been eating, I know he weighs more now. But that is all he'll eat, it doesn't make him sick. Now back to Bas...He's got those big ole feet and when he runs thru the house he sounds like a clydesdale!!!! He jumped up on the bed last nite and it was like a great dane puppy jumping up there. But, ya gotta love it!!!:-)

Morning all! Glad Caymus is doing well. Wes had on the Bears game over the weekend and started shouting with glee "IT'S SNOWING IN CHICAGO!!!" Ugh! At least it didn't make it to our burb. :-)

Here is my pet funny for the day. Daryl, our African Grey, knows the names of all of our cats and can mimic their different meows. He almost always gets it correct too. He will say "Sasha" and then meow like her. Well...the other day Daryl was talking up a storm. Just chattering away. Then as clear as a bell he says "Darwin is a Bird." He knows who Darwin is, that is our Tuxedo kitty. Wes and I were laughing so hard over this one. I'm not sure yet if Darwin is insulted by this or feels welcomed into the flock. LOL!

P.S., LOL, you haven't heard anything yet. Wilbur has "hands" with extra toes (thumbs). Wait until Bas is heavier, he will sound like the whole team and if he is like Wilbur, those talons click on ceramic tiles:-)

Every lap needs a cat but, with cats like Bas and Wilbur, ya might want a pillow between you and tha kitty - eeeeeeeoooowwwwwwwww:-)

Cute story Jahneeeeen:-)

If you get to Jerry's, DO NOT GO INTO THE ROOM ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HALLWAY!!! I accidently opened that door thinking it was the bathroom only to see it was Nikki's room. Nikki was on his perch and he calmly looked at me and I swear he said "Come in, close the door, let's cuddle." as his head bobbed - up and down. I ran like hell to get out of there.

Jahneen, on the Friday night before the BBQ, Nikki was in the dining area on his perch. Jerry had warned us not to go too close to him but, suffering a moment of forgetfulness, I accidently walked around the bar towards him. The way he looked at me was precious. I swear he had a smile on his face and was thinking "Please have some Grey Poupon with you when you get over here." I still have nightmares over that.

Good luck with your vehicle, Linda. We had to leave our first born as payment, but it was long over due. Since we don't have a car payment on it anymore, it's expected to have to do a little preventative maintenance every so often.

LOL! That is hilarious Tom. We have a bird at KARE that seems oh so sweet, right up until you try to pet it. Unfortunately, it is a Macaw, so it can break bones. Our cockatoo there is so darn smart that he learned the combination to the lock on his cage, freed himself, and then freed several of his friends. HA! I love birds!

Hi Folks

jerry good news on Caymus.

Thought(s) for the Day

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

Live simply and appreciate what you have.

Give more.

Expect less

NOW ............

Enough of that crap . . The donkey later came back,
and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him.
The gash from the bite got infected and
the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover
your ass, as it always comes back to bite you.

Hi Everyone! Having a great time on Bonaire. Saw two dolphins on our first dive, they came two feet from Gregg, rolled over and took a good look at him and kept going. They were huge bottlenose and we passed two Bonaire sisters on the dive who also saw them, we sure talked about it when we passed each other on the return, not literally talked, but on easel boards, then a whole lots after we all got done the dive. Just breathtaking to see so close, scared the heck out of all of us, we were looking at little stuff and not expecting something huge to be right there outta nowhere. Great way to start a dive vacation! :-) Off for lunch and dive. Working on our place, got three projects going on, oh joy, but it will look great when done. Got a few more projects to start, but got to get done those first. Still no wind here, and hot, hot, hot, gotta love Bonaire as you can always get wet!

I have a guy I always go to and he takes great care of me but Guy felt he was too expensive.... this places makes him look great :-)

Jerry, GREAT news about Caymus! Thank you for updating us.

I can't believe I wasn't on the computer for almost 3 whole days --- it felt good.
Yesterday we spent about 3 hours touring a local wholesale nursery. A neighbor works there and invited us to come in and shop away. We got there, she handed us keys to a golf cart and off we went. It was better than Disney!!!!!
I can't wait to go back :-) We made a list of agaves, bamboo, and salvias to buy :-)

Yes you who changes names more than Jerr/Skip and I:-)

My truck was in the shop for about 5 days (including weekend) and we were given an old Soccer Mom van to drive. Now, I have been called a mother a lot but pride dictated that I hitchhike or, W.H.N. drive it.

She told me it really s***ed driving that thing:-)

BH - That's why I don't use dealerships. Even when I told my dealership to only change the oil and not look at anything else, they ALWAYS came out with a list that "has to be fixed because the car is unsafe." Never again will I trust a dealership.
