We're 5 weeks away from our planned trip to Bonaire, so my husband is going to ask his oncologist if he is okay to go out of the country so soon after starting chemo. I don't want to go if there are any concerns, but as you know I'd certainly like to make the trip. (Although I may need to solicit advice on what to do since we probably won't be able to do much snorkeling.)

Just being on the island, being together and sharing some awesome sunsets will be all you need. The fish will know you are there even if you can't snorkel.

Fingers and toes crossed...I hope that yall can make it. This is a GREAT time to make some fabulous memories. You tell that doc THAT!!

And if the Doctor says no, slap him upside the head (the doctor) and say you're going anyway, make it happen. Let's hope that is not required.

Well, those fingers need to stay crossed for another week. We thought Wil was going to see the oncologist today before he had his chemo, but he isn't until next Tuesday. Stay tuned.

Cindy, fingers will stay crossed and positive hopes will continue to flow your way.

During trips in 2006 and 2007 I couldn't "play" the way I had grown accustomed to over the years but, I learned something new, it is called "relaxing". Whether it was sitting in a chaise drinking a cool lemonade while looking at the ocean or reading a book, driving up to Sera Lagu, watching the kite surfers, wading in the warm water or, just sitting on the beach with my feet in the sand - it was all good because I was on Bonaire.

I hope Wil is given the green light to travel and that you folks have a great time!!!
