Hi everyone! It is really cold here in the UK. I think there has been snow in the highlands of Scotland. I just keep thinking that in less than two weeks I will be warm and hopefully wet. In fact this time in two weeks I should be crawling into bed in Bonaire after the KLM red eye. YIPEE

Good Morning Everyone!!:-)

Patrick, you got anything strong I can put in my coffee?? I've been up for hours...I heard something, got up and the back screen door was open and Spice was GONE!! I looked all over the backyard, then saw a footprint right at a hole in the fence. So I went out front and looked everywhere. There he was, laying in DIRT under my truck!!! He's never been outside in his 11 years of life!!! OMG! I was shaking so bad. Kayla would've killed me!!! But he's in now, and acting very cocky!! Goofy cat!!
But my coffee is making me shake more!!!
So.....
:-)

Good morning Patrick, Eileen, Julia, PegiSue, and all who WAKE UP and join us later!
I had a good time lurking yesterday till noon, then I left work an played for a while, went out for pizza for dinner and watched our baseball team win their second playoff game in a row.
I'm a little blue today, and don't know why. Maybe a workout will help. I'll check back later.

Morning All! I was watching Good Morning America and they were talking about the Old Man on the Mountain. Wasn't it Cecil who first posted when he fell? Very sad, what a loss of Americana.

I wish you all a wonderful day and warn you all to stay away from anyone and everyone who has picked up this nasty cold going around. It is brutal. :-(

Already had breakie but will sit while you guys eat :-) Pups are fed, Rob's been fed, chilly fall morn here and it's beautigorgeous outside. We're heading up to the mountains in a short while for some riding in the dirt! I'm sure it's in the upper 40's up there so might have to put up my flip flops and actually wear boots today LOL!

Linda, BIG hugs to you!! Hope you're back to your chipper self after a spin class. Last week was rough for me but it's the beginning of something new for Rob and I and our business.

I'm back from the gym and am feeling better. Got my coffee, groceries, and banking done too. After I finish putting away the groceries I seriously need to do some yard work. The city has been digging around in the front yards of our neighborhood putting in reclaimed water lines. Since ours is the most unattractive yard on the block they dumped all the lines in the "dead zone" between the sidewalk and street. I'll feel much better by the end of the day with a better looking lawn. :-)

Freddie, sounds like a great mini meet going on up there. Wish I could have joined you all.

PS, Glad Spice Kitty is back and okay. One of my fears is having my cat get out of the house. With the traffic in our neighborhood, that would not be a good idea.

Kobi, You dirt bike in flip flops???? :-(:-( Bad Girl! But we still love you. :-)

YEAH FOR YOU KATHY HALL!!!!!
Thank you for taking your Saturday to walk and raise awareness.

Linda, I immediately thought the same thing...BAD Kobi; flip-flops on a dirt bike... I'm not believing it!

Pegi I'm glad that Spice didn't go far - hopefully this won't start a new desire to explore. My boys are running in and out today trying to figure out how to be outside but not get wet in the rain. Very funny!

I'm supposed to go out in about an hour to canvas but if it's raining like it is now... I don't think it's gonna happen today.

Freddie, George, Louise, Jerry, Judy and Les... can't wait to see the pics. How fun!!!

Afternoon Everyone! Had a great morning at yard sales. Got my grand daughter, Lydia her first car!~
A cute little baby blue Volkswagon. It is so cute, battery operated, was a steal for $5! Then on the way to work I stopped by another yard sale and found this kitchen by Little Tykes with pots and pans, utensils and all the fake food ect. at a great price, only problem, it was huge! Had to call hubby to bring the van to take it home. He thinks I go overboard, but the price was right and nothing is too much for that little girl. :-)

Today, Brandon's travel soccer team is participating in the National Championship State Soccer Cup tourney, pretty exciting, you play till you lose. So, today can be the beginning or the end, hope it is the beginning! :-)

Weather is gorgeous here, so a good day for soccer and hanging outside.

See you all later, Freddie, thanks for checking in! Look forward to pics later! You all have a great week-end for the pre-mini-meet. :-)

I put Kaarien's name on my back. :-( In "remembrance of". :-( And my mom and a cancer surviver at at work, Aida. :-) I need more on my surviver list next year!

Well, this was just interesting...went on the lanai to relax and all of a sudden music started in the club house, we thought it was a party. Then we (me and Frances), noticed the gazebo over the water was decorated. It was a wedding! Very sweet. I cried and don't even know them! lol

Poor Larry is helping his mom sort thru things still. All that's got to be done before I can go in and clean up.

Anyway, now that the weddings over, I think we'll chill in the pool. Beautiful weather today.

:-)

Kathy, I always cry at weddings -- heck I even teared up at Kristi's engagement announcement. I'm just a sap but I've learned to embrace it :-)

Hi Debbie!! Sounds like a nice day for you! You're doing just fine at Grandma-dom :-):-) Lydia will always remember her first car and I can tell you I still remember the little general store that my babysitter got for me when I was little. They were more like second parents to me and my brother and we spent many Christmas's and holidays with them.
You just keep on doing what you're doing --- hey, you're helping to keep our economy going!!!

I'd better sign off. I think I'm going to brave the drizzle and do an hour or so of canvassing. I'm bringing along a friend who needs the fresh air and company -- they are just at the point of having to get hospice for their mom. Well, you all know that hardship.

I'll see ya'll later :-)

Tara, good job with volunteering!!! My thoughts and prayers for your friend; I am sorry for her Mom's failing health. I know being around you will bring smiles to her and she's in GREAT company!!

Kathy, thanks for giving of your time today for a wonderful cause!!! Good job!!!

We're home and I didn't do flip flops today LOL! I did wear some tennis shoe mules though so that's close enough. Where we ride there are a few creek crossings; actually three! Today the water was up due to the recent rain we've had. Not a good place to stall your bike and thankfully today I didn't LOL! Have I, you ask?!?! :-) Yes, once last year and thankfully I put my feet down in the middle of a flowing creek and was able to touch bottom !!!!
I am sure I bring great humor to Rob while I'm riding LOL! As long as we're both having fun that's all that matters!

We are safely home and are chilling in front of the plasma; watching football no less :-)

Hope everyone's having a great day.

If I had known this cam was @ Kure Beach Pier I would have waved to you guys a few weeks ago :-)

One more cam addition I will have now. I loved the quaint area and being back where I grew up taking beach vacations.
If you can watch for a few rotations the cam changes positions and you can see a parking lot :-) To the left is where we ate breakfast every morning; awesome dive!
OK, so next year I will wave to you from here LOL!

I'm back. Only got an hour walk in and now that I've gotten home the sun is trying to come out. My friend didn't make it -- she's been on the phone with family since 11:30. Just heart breaking.

I've got a pan of brownies in the oven and Guy should be home within the hour.
I've got the movie "A River Runs through It" on... man is it good.

Kobi, glad that you didn't lose it in the creek!!!!

Hi Girls!!:-)

I've been watching "girl" movies all day. My Best Friends Wedding, A Lot Like Love & Pretty Woman is on now. I may put "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" in tho. I know every word in Pretty Woman.LOL

Kayla text me earlier from the wedding. The father/daughter dance made her cry. She said she is getting some amazing photos!! I can't wait to see them!!:-)

Spice is acting very strange today. He slept under Olivia's bed all day. He never does that. He barely fits under a bed. I just fed him & Bas, and he hardly ate anything. Very odd...
He's just waiting for me to go to bed so he can break out again!!!

We're some chocolate momma's today LOL!
My girls didn't flip for the rice the first go round SO I steamed it in chickie broth this time; no water :-) See if the demons will take to it now.
I'm still in the learning stages of this steamed and my steaming skills LOL! I be a fish outta water in the kitchen :-) I'm tip toeing into this new food routine so no tummies get upset BUT they already eat the turkey breast SO hope they get the hang of the adders I'm working on.

Last week there was rice ALL over the kitchen rug after their breakie :-) It's a 5x9 rug and I think there was rice in every square inch LOL! Thank goodness the cleaning lady came yesterday; she vacuumed up what they left Friday morning LOL! She probably thinks we had a wedding in the kitchen :-)

I am sure the chickie broth will help but hope Bits will be OK; she doesn't handle chicken well but the broth shouldn't bother her. Fingers crossed here.
Rasta had pasta LOL! You made a rhyme :-)

If Spice doesn't straighten up, I'm gonna start feeding him rice!! You know, he always wants to eat grass, we let him out in the fenced in area by the pool...I bet he grazed all night long!! I bet that is what is wrong. I should just break out my cleaning stuff now and be prepared!

Love the movie you're watching too, Boom!
Hubba, hubba for sure :-)

It's still football viewing here; Fl. State & Miami. Good game!!! I hope I can make it the rest of the year with all this football! I'm on overload already between college and pro.

I need to scrape up something for us to eat for din din but nothing sounds good. Don't want to do carry in/out as it's getting expensive and I don't cook so we have a dilemma LOL!

Costco used to be called Price Club. We all called it the $100 club. Can never go in there for less than that even when you're buying TP, paper towel, & tissues :-) They do have great toys. I buy things for Rylan there as well as our sponsor boy at Hoppner House!

OK, so how long was I gone?!?! You gals won't believe this! I made dinner in that time LOL! We had balsamic rosemary pork roast & steamed broccoli and cauliflower :-) Used Molly McButter and sea salt for veggies! LOW fat and pretty darn good. THANKS Hormel LOL!
The girls had a small plate of ground turkey breast and rice :-) ALL devoured!!

Boom, do have some low sodium beef broth too as plane B. I think we'll be good but just in case.

PS, do you have any Nature's Miracle? Good stuff for the "stuff" our animals can leave behind :-)

Back from soccer and had pasta night here. Brandon's team got their bu@@s kicked today, but that happens sometimes.

Off to the mall and do do a small job on the way home, then I actually will have an entire day off on Sunday. WooHoo! :-)

Evening everyone. Sounds like everyone has settled in for the evening to watch movies, football and munch on brownies.
I'm exhausted from my day working on the front yard. No mowing yet just pulling weeds, vines,
oak trees that have been hiding in the bushes and volunteer palm trees. Those pesky little squirrels like to bury the seeds/nuts from palm trees all over the yard, and I had to dig them out. All of that filled three 39 gallon lawn bags, and that's only part of the front yard. Ugh.
Tomorrow I will do the normal cleaning and hit Best Buy to look at cameras. To go SLR or not to go SLR. I have an Olympus OM1 film camera with several lenses from years ago. I miss using it, but I don't miss having to wait for the film to be developed.

Linda,
I did a tad of yard work earlier. I got tired after 15 minutes LOL! I filled one 30 gallon bag with random weeds. I have onehelluva weed garden around the mail box that's not been touched all summer long! I'm proud of that one :-) It will take chemicals to kill that crap or a good hard frost which isn't far off!

Good luck camera shopping. We are in need of a good camera and will buy online at Costco in the near future.
We don't have a Best Buy store but we do have their GINORMOUS warehouse in the town down from me! It's the largest warehouse/building in this area. They use Segways to putt around.
Let us know what you end up buying!!

Debbie, enjoy your Sunday off! I hope the weather will be great up there; it's going to be awesome again here tomorrow. More riding without flip flops :-)

Also will tackle some more fall cleaning out of the closets.
I need somebody with yard work energy 'cause that is one thing I hate worse than cooking LOL!
OH and my Mom and sister invited themselves up here for Thanksgiving this year :-) Sister came last year with my BIL and Rylan; Mom was not so am looking forward to having them all here!!!
Rylan will be mobile this year so ought to be interesting since this house is NOT babyproof!
I better start planning now :-)

Goodnight, gals and guys. Thanks for the chat today. I have one more football game to watch tonight; VA vs. MD.
My Hokies won earlier in the day so if the UVA Hoo's can win then both VA teams done good today.
The Virginia Hoo's are ahead as I type. They're 40 miles away from us; playing at home. I swear I hear the fans yelling :-)

See y'all tomorrow......same place!!!!

Hey Kobi. To baby proof your house, bubble wrap all coffee tables, etc. :-):-) And if you can get away with it have your local high end grocer do your Thanks giving meal. Or everyone gets to work at the soup kitchen that day. HA!
Terry works Thanksgiving day, as always, so I'm having a single girlfriend or two over for some turkey sandwiches and arts/farts or scrapbooking.
I'll be hitting the hay soon, but will check in before I do.

Hey Gang... the movies were fun.
We watched High Noon then Bette Davis in Voyager
love those old black and whites.
I'm just disappointed though, I was hoping they would have Paul Newman marathon. Bless him.

I'm going to close this down for the night
Sleep Well my friends
the promise
