We are having a scavenger hunt on Saturday as part of the activites. Here's what I have so far, I need ideas! Keep in mind that there is only one small general store at the cove we are at, and one restaurant, and the rest are boaters.

1. Poker Chip from Each Boat ( )
2. Paper Clip
3. Safety Pin
4. Book of Matches

A burgee {to be given back of course}
a coil of rope {again to be given back}
a paper back book
a life preserver{again to be given back}
a boating magazine
a nautical plastic cup
a whistle
an airhorn
to make sure things are given back to the proper people give each entrant a piece of paper and pen so they can have the people sign for the items....

You might want to make a few people PIRATES!!! they take away all the loot that the person shows up with..

put some odd stuff that people would have had to have brought with them and have no relation to boating:

- something with picture of cartoon character (you can be general or specific: Mickey Mouse, Barney, etc)
- political button for either presidential candidate
- salt shaker
- whisk
- electric drill
- John Grishman paperback
- sheet music

you get the idea...

Well since Friday is Talk Like a Pirate day you should stick with that theme, ARRRRGH.

A boat hook
A parrot
A Peg Leg
Treasure Map
Grog (lots)
booty
plunder
serving wench
Keira Knightley

Oops, I think I'm off on a tangent.

Note to self, plunder before burning.

Well folks, the list was printed about four hours ago...dang...only one restaurant (that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner)...and no hotels...boat in only at this harbor so some of the things wouldn't work. But I REALLY appreciate all of the ideas, it should be fun. Folks will have to dinghy to other boats to try to find the hunt items!

Lots of fun and good luck with that Cynde :-):-):-):-):-):-):-)

Back in Holland I was a enthusiastic "Scouty". I ran a mixed group of Rowans and Sherpa's (boys and girls in the age of 12 till 17) We did scavenger hunt a lot and we had alway a different theme. Usually whole stories. I had so much fun doing this. I really miss that sometimes.
