Dog - Man's best friend

A dog is truly a man's best friend.

If you don't believe it, just try this experiment.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour.

When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you!?

Good morning everyone! Sending good vibes for everyone to be safe from Ike!

Welcome Ricardo! We are one big crazy, family here :-)

I THOUGHT today was going to be a good day....until I got a ticket that will cost me $400.00! I am embarrassed about it because I was 100% wrong. I took the ticket and drive slowly and carefully away. The officer thanked me after printing it out for being so cooperative. Rajan is mad as He)) at me because he was late for school and told me I was an "irresponsible driver"! But if that's the worst of things then I'm doing alright!

Ok - where the heck are we now? Let's see
- RA got a $400 ticket by being an "irresponsible driver"...whatever that means. (better than being an irresponsible diver maybe)
Krispi is still drinking her leaf pressed Mate' Bette is watching the neighbors (we want pics please)
sheila - welcome - is all hooked up and ready to go
Jerry is - well - we know what Jerry is
Donna is wanting a good slap
PS is toting guns (I gotta tell you - I just fixed a spelling error - at first I wrote gums instead of guns - I don't know which one is funnier)
Linda is egging on RA to watch Speeders
And there are bunch of idiots who should have to pay dearly for having to be rescued off of rooftops in TX. Do you think they can process the credit cards before they get them on the helicopter?

I'm in Marianna which is near Panama City Florida where I will need to try it out this weekend. I'm really excited about the trip, I believe this will be a life changing experience. Not only will I be turning the big 40 but I will be in Bonaire on vacation. I can't get it off my mind, the tirp that is. I find myself looking at more and more sites and videos of Bonaire each day. OMG - and look one is even swimming. BH these are CLASSIC!!!

And heck yes - let's go surfing on the Tennessee River. We can surf down to Neyland Stadium yeah?

Ahh - diving in PC. You know sheila they say if you can dive in PC you can dive ANYWHERE. I was on a trip where when we went down it was fine but as I was waiting for students to come down the line the current kicked in and pushed me backwards over the railing of the wreck we were diving. It was CRAZY. Was on a night dive in PC and viz was so bad we didn't see the wreck until we landed on it. Yeah - I cut that night dive short.

I think it's Dads job to box up the lost critters and take them and the girls in front of the store with the sign that says "Free Kittens" or maybe you should throw the girls a sleeping bag and a tent and tell them it is their new room. Just until the new kitten smell wears off. The next thing they will be yelling is "Dad, Can we keep them? Please Dad, Please? Really, get the box and the sign fast.

Last night, my wife and I were sitting in the living room talking about many things. The idea of a living will came up and I said to her,

"I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If I ever come to that just pull the plug."

She got up, unplugged the TV and then threw out my beer.

Hey Donna - I'm not trying to be an instigator of ANYTHING but... have you looked at the fat content of regular whipped cream versus fat free? If you like the regular better - go with the regular. Here's your breakdown

Regular Cool Whip 1.5 fat & 25 calories
Extra Creamy 2 fat & 25 calories
Lite 1 fat & 20 calories
Fat Free 0 fat & 15 calories

I'm such a label reader when it comes to products, espeically fat free and sugar free - just because they are doesn't always make them better.

Good though for the no mayo and cooking in olive oil. Olive oil is a VERY healthy oil.

Yo Mo:
PC does have some crazy currents. It does not make for a fun dive where you are caught up in that mess. We were there last weekend and you could not see 5 feet in front of you. At about 60' deep it opened up and to about 25' viz and we were able to see the wreck and bottom. I was surprised that there really was no current. We went to The Strength, pretty large sunk ship. I hope to dive the Black Bart Sunday and get some good pictures of a giant Jew Fish that hangs out in the captain’s quarters. I think tomorrow I will practice with my camera (still waiting for it to be delivered) in fresh water at one of the local springs taking pictures of eels at the entrance of the cave. We are expected to do a night dive at the spring next weekend. I have not done a night dive in the saltwater yet but would really like to do it before Bonaire so I can just focus on the dive and not the dark. We really watch the weather and pay close attention to the tide information during hurricane season I don't want to scare myself so bad that I never night dive. I understand there are a lot of beautiful coral to be seen at night there and I'm hoping I keep my cool in the dark.

PS...Cool Whip is sooooo Yummy!

For the first time I'm embarrassed to be from Texas. There is a lady with her kids, around 8-10 yrs old ON THE BEACH! She wants them to see how bad the waves can get. There is also a guy running around in a bear costume. What are these people thinking. Yes they need to pay big for rescues, they had plenty of warning.

I'm with BC Timmmy - why not stay another week...

And RA and CB - OMG - I am in LOVE with that picture. I think I want that as my newest screen saver. Actually if I were really good I would ask CB for all of her rain gear pics, write a children's book and have PS & Timmmy illustrate it for me.

CB's Magic Raincoat.

Watching a live feed from Galveston...they were showing some of the rescue's and folks walking around taking PIC's....being caught off guard is one thing....makes you wonder about that feeling when you go from

I Got It Under Control
to
I Just Wet My Pants...Help Me..Help Me

Not right to put the responders in that situation.

OK..jusy FYI for any interested....looking it up...just about the caffeine being the same as coffee, I found this at brainready

So whether it's the same caffeine as in other teas and coffees or indeed the purported mateine variant, Yerba Mate contains about 30 milligrams of caffeine/mateine in an eight ounce cup, according to a recent Health Canada report, compared with 47 milligrams in a cup of tea and 100 milligrams in a cup of coffee.

With about one-third the caffeine of coffee, plus the presence of natural calming tryptophan and other elements, many also report the lack of jitters, shakes and anxiety that can accompany coffee drinking, resulting in all of the "good buzz" of coffee without the bad. And perhaps most significant is the reported lack of "coffee crash", which has been particularly of interest to athletes and performers, who cite Mate's sustained energy without the hard crash at the end; this is likely the result of lower caffeine content combined with calming amino acids and muscle-fueling nutrients, helping athletes both mentally and physically without an extreme jittery high (and resulting crash) as can occur from coffee.

I don't drink coffee much and drink Mate' all the time. If I have a cup of coffee, it wires me up..so I tend to believe there is much less in Mate'.
