Good Morning everyone! It's still very dark in my part of the world and rather chilly.

My day off was gorgeous weather-wise. I wish I'd taken my camera when I met my friend to walk by her daughter's soccer practice, because the sky looked really cool.

I wanted to take some more wooded ones in the beautiful daylight yesterday, but alas, had errands to run and actually went in to work for a while.

Ok, I'm rambling...have a beautiful day, friends!

My last child at home (girl) left for college 3-4 week ago, but left us her hamster (Roger), (a present from her friend 4-5 week ago!!!) So a child moved out and a hamster moved in, I bought him a round cage for him to play in on the floor. Our Pom (Bear) freaks out when Roger chases him around. Funny at times!!!

A client of mine is an esthetician at a place here in Tampa that does Botox Restalyne and all that, and she's begging me to come in and try it out. I'm tempted! She had it done and her forehead is smooth as a baby's butt. And she had her top lip injected with something that took the little lines from around her mouth, and now her lips look great.

Btw all, got that settled with my sis's trouble. Phew.

I awoke this morning thinking of Debbie. As a Mom with a daughter a gazillion miles away, I share her worry for Tiffany. This morning's projection looks a tad south of Galveston, but still way too close when you look at the infrared model. Hang in there Debbie! She'll be fine, and material things can be replaced.

More cleaning scheduled for today, with a couple of errands thrown in. Nothing exciting here!

I still have trouble with 9/11 and it is way to depressing to me.

I don't have any wireless networks available for the laptop...that's where the pics are. I tried hooking up the cable from this computer to the laptop, but that doesn't seem to be working on there. So, no pics!!! I have some, but can't get them to this computer...

I'm totally dense when it comes to computers!!!

Michael and I have gotten really really really attached to *turtle turtle* and so I told him we will keep him as long as Dylon wants us to (which may be the rest of his life...lol)

PS a cable between the two computers will not work, you need a special cable and many hours of tech support to do that. The simplest option is use a memory stick to transfer the files. If you do not have a memory stick you can also use the camera, upload the pictures to the camera then download to the other computer.

Cynde, come on!!!! I have a flash drive. I have no idea how to get things to it or off of it!! I got it for our first Bonaire trip. I took it downtown and had a girl copy everything from my memory card to it. Put the memory card back in my camera and took more pics. Those pics are still on the memory card!! Yes, I am a computer whiz!!!LOL
And now, after 3 trips to Bonaire I have a collection of memory cards. All w/ pics of Bonaire, that I can't get off and don't want to just delete them. I know how to do that!LOL

Tiffany is on her way outta Galveston now. They enforced a mandatory evacuation this morning for all of Galveston coastal area. I am putting her on west side of Houston in a hotel to ride out the hurricane for the next three days. I will be happy when I hear she is safely there. Wish she left earlier this morning like I told her to do, but kids move at their own pace, not mommy's.

Major storm bands coming through, I'm shutting down. Looks like Ike is VERY wide spread!

Ike is very wide, Gail. Looks like Galveston is gonna get hit with a H3. Tiff is stuck in traffic as all the mandatory evacuations are taking place and more getting added throughout the day. She said gas lines were long and traffic is currently bumper to bumper with all trying to get out. I hope she makes it out of there.

Update: Tiffany is making good time now, almost to Houston, phew! Keep going Tiff! That's my girl, get inland, get inland!

Just got a call from her, they blocked the road going into Galveston now, only way is one way out now. Cops, ambulances, helicopters all over the place. Traffic is again bumper to bumper into Houston area. Keep going Tiff! They are also warning of tornados when it hits too. Oh Joy, something else to worry about now too.

Tiff is going to the west SIDE of Houston, away from all the tall buildings, the outskirts so to speak. It won't be pretty in Houston either, but hopefully, she will be safer than Galveston area on the waterfront.
