Good Tuesday Morning, BT...

To answer Randy's question from yesterday morning, yes that picture was right outside my house. I love living in the woods...the only thing I think I'd like better is living by the ocean. If I was rich (which I'm not!!), I'd have a house in the mountains AND a house at the beach...sigh...dream on Donna...:-)

Here's some deer I saw last night when walking...I still haven't really gotten the hang of my camera...:-(
hello friends

Beautiful Donna!!!!

Good Morning everyone! Today is a non-school day - Quinn is Mon, Wed and alternating Fridays. I think he might be sleeping in this morning, a little tired! He had a great day, though was upset that someone forgot to checkout his book. A few little ones were overwhelmed, but I don't blame them! New start! Keddle did great at the Dr's, Riker was comforting her as she was upset getting her heartrate checked. He loves her! As for length, She is in the 97th percentile, she's long. Weight, 60th. All our kids are tall ones...

Hope all is well with everyone!

Eileen!! I didn't comment on your thread about school yesterday, honestly didn't even get time to read the whole thread, but.... you are a GREAT Mom and your are going to LOVE these years...so many wonderful memories ahead of field trips and homework and firsts and lasts.....I can cry just thinking about it! :-)

I remember the first day my son started Kindergarten, I felt like I was sending him off to the wolves! :-)

The teacher looks like a great teacher. At first I though she was very stern looking, but she is the complete opposite. (met her last week) She'll be great with all kids. In a couple of months I will volunteer there (not to spy on Quinn, I honestly think he will ignore me LOL!). I pick up forms on thurs.

Donna - beautiful pic :-) We'll be getting the T-storms later :-( Donna---doesn't it feel like yesterday when you were sending your kids off to Kindergarten?

Eileen - glad Quinn has a good teacher....that's so very important early on in the school years. Sets the tone for the years to come.

Hi guys 'n gals. :-)
Was just sitting here eating my breakfast at work (fruit bowl), and heard that awful sound I hear nearly every day. The sound of squealing tires and the ultimate HARD metal on metal crash! I'm on the 8th floor with a big window, so I'm always seeing/hearing the car crashes. eek This one was 2 cars and a bus. Always scares the heck out of me!

2 things on my to-do-before-I-go-to-Bonaire list and I hope to get them done today while running around town. Don't worry, I drive like a little old lady. lol

Everyone have a great day!

Morning Everyone! :-)

Going to watch Lydia, my granddaughter this morning while Mommy does some errands, so will be out most of the day. Can't wait to see her again!

Good news on Ike, it is now not going directly at my daughter's town. Phew! Looks like way south Texas or even Mexico now, keep going south, Ike, go south.

Have a great day to All and will check in later this afternoon.

Good morning all. Nothing to report in my boring little world today.

I tried to call my tree person that was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago to take out our big dead pine tree, but they've been called to Louisianna to help them recover there. Makes sense. My tree is not an emergency.

I too, would love to have a home in the woods, and another on the beach. I love being in both environments.

I'm looking for a perfect new camera, too. I want an all around great topside camera, that I can also get an underwater housing for. I need to check out the suggestions in the photography threads.....

Wishing you all a terriffic Tuesday!

Gail, glad to see you pop in...

Donna, please post more beautiful mountain pics...I'm with the rest, I'd love a place in the mountains as well...we aren't right ON the beach, but I get to see the Pacific ocean EVERY DAY...so i count that as a huge blessing to be able to live where I live.

oh, PS, SEBAST PICS PLEASE...pretty please...later if you get time. I'm sure I'll be a hurtin' unit in a few hours when I'm back at the desk all day...BUT my MARIONETTE LINES are gone...haha...lol...tee hee...

Morning my invisible BT friends.
Just in for a quick peak. I've been crazy busy this week, and will continue to be thru the end of the month with a Board of Trustees meeting Thursday and the big golf tournament on the 29th.

I have a Sony W10 CyberShot. The only thing I don't like about it is that the zoom is only a 3 x and I would love to have 10 or 12 x. When I purchased it for the 2006 3-Day walk I wanted something slim to slip into my pack while walking and something with a big screen for my old eyes. Bottom line - it takes great pictures.

Gail I have been recommending the Olympus 1010. I have heard the UW housing is hard to find, so I would recommend buying that first.

I'll check that out Krispi. I have a Sony Cybershot P51, and John has an old Cannon Powershot G2. He isn't wanting to get into underwater photography, because he thinks all "camera people" are rude and disrespectful of the reef. And granted some are! But I am vowing to not be that person!

I'd like to get "some things" lifted too, Cynde! Gravity works a number on us! I'd just have to justify the cost because insurance won't pay for cosmetic...... Maybe that can be my Christmas present! Or John's ;) .

Gail, I trust that you won't be one of those rude photogs. If I'm with a group of divers I usually wait till everyone is done taking their photos then I slowly go in, but not too close. I use my zoom. Here are a couple of photo snobs getting right in there - when they were done the DM gave me a private "session" with this toadfish.

Please keep in mind that this was my first week with the video cam. Most footage looked like I was drunk when I took it. :-)

Hi Krispi, I'm not sure if I've put it on here or not...we are going to Truk Lagoon. We'll be gone for a total of 14 days but are doing a 7 day live-aboard in Truk. We have to overnight in Hawaii on the way there, and Guam on the way back. We are spending 3 additional nights in Honolulu on the way back too. We are pretty excited!

I've been wondering about Kobi, hope she's ok.

Brad, I had a friend who worked at a research station on Weno, and when I visited hom, we dived the lagoon from his 18 ft skiff..it was a hoot! Some of the best diving we did was actually not he wrecks, but on the lip of the lagoon, diving on the outside....LOTS of life, and I don't think it was dived much.

Terry and I had a pretty tumultuous friendship, and on the days we couldn't stand each other, I'd go dive with his pal who was skippering the Agressor. It was AWFUL, I tell you...nonstop diving either with Terry, who knew everything about the marine life, or on the Agressor, where they treated me like a paying client. The pain!

We also went to Ponepei...the diving there was also wonderful, and I found the people to be warmer than those on Chuuk.
