I was all set to go to bonaire in mid-late october have been there as a stop on a cruise and loved it 'm an avid snorkler and my wife and I like the no big resort feel of the island lots of great beaches friendly people had acomodations and flights picked out when I read in Fodors that october and november are "rainy season" how much rain is it ? daily? afternoon showers or all day rain does it affect visibility for snorkeling with wave action an run off I could postpone trip till sprig(march or april) but fall is a better option, However I don't want rain eery day or poor snorkelling conditions any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks Mark

Hello Mark and welcome soon..it's great to see a cruise stop led you to wanting more.

Oct. can be very warm as the winds disappear as they have now in Sept. What happens is, when there is a tropical storm in the Caribbean, it sucks the wind with it making the islands hot hot.

It is perfect for snorkeling and diving. Rain usually holds off til Nov. so any you may get will be light. We need rain.
