Tara, that really stinks about your car. Hugs to you, what they think they find in the briefcase? A million dollars? Duh, real stupid, sounds like kids.

I have soccer again this morning. Every have one of those days that ya can't figure out what shirt to wear? Yeah, well, I had one of them today, took me over an hour of this one or that, think I got a winner now. Going to be hot, hot, hot on the field today.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Judy, great beach day for sure! Not even trying our beaches nearby. Seems some syringes have washed up on shore at a lot of them and they have closed them to the public. Yuk! Glad we have a pool, sounds like a plan after soccer, work in the gardens and pool time! :-) That reminds me, gotta put the Aquabot in there before I leave for the games, so it will be all clean and ready when I get back.

John, welcome back to BT!!! Yep, we'll be in your great state in a few weeks :-) Hubby and I were yelling and screaming yesterday, for sure!! We had it in the bag and then......pfffft we lost!!!
Your Cornhuskers will be playing a very young Hokie team as we lost 13 players to the NFL :-( That alone says alot, as they were good. We could be in for a stinky year but I still love my HOKIES!!! Heck, I just love FOOTBALL!!!

Morning, Jerry!

My morning went from good to sh** in 60 seconds! Little Bon Bini is under the weather :-( This always happens on a weekend or a Holiday; I swear they're gonna be the death of me!!!! Upset tummy BUT nothing serious; know it will pass. Gave her a garbage gut pill and that will settle it down so hopefully she can eat something later. She does this a few times a year.
Just glad it's not next week while we're off at the beach!!!!

Randy,
Not sure what city they live in but there are 2 very nice ski resorts not too far from me; Wintergreen and Massanutten.
Massanutten ski resort is about 15 miles from our home. We can see the peak from our deck; it's NICE!!!

Wintergreen is close to Waynesboro, VA and just over Afton Mountain.

Yes, if you ever get a chance please come this way. It really is a beautiful part of our great country!!!

I better get my arse in gear and get some beach packing done and then the ONLY man in house wants to hit the mountains again and ride the dirt bikes again today!!!

We might do that and then get back here and cook out on the deck. Hopefully the sun will show itself shortly!

Morning all, Timmy, glad you made it:-)

Well, let's see...I put it on the pre-surgical form, told the admitting nurse, told the surgical nurse, told the anesthesiologist, and they even put it on my wrist band that I am allergic to surgical tape, surgical glue big time...so, what to my wondering eyes and feeling did appear in the middle of the night last night? Nice, big, red, blistery welts...all over the surgical area...it hurts like a mofo, this happened when I had my hsyterectomy...so I called my surgeon this morning, well, appearantly they USED SURGICAL GLUE AND SURGICAL TAPE ON ME...I am so po'd!!! He's like "i'm sorry, i know the recovery from the surgery is difficult, and now to add this to it" NO SH#t SHIRLOCK!...

ok, rant off...bring on more meds PLEASE.

Tom, don't cut your hair please....

Yikes Cynde... do we need to all come and drop the hammer on your surgical team? When I had my arthroscopic knee procedure I told them repeatedly that I have bad reactions to anesthesia (vomiting for 48+ hours) and that's why I wanted a spinal only (actually I wanted a local only, but they wouldn't do it). Well, they gave me iv drugs, my blood pressure dropped to 60 over 40 (seriously!!!) and I vomited for 2 days. Nice. I'm so glad they ask us questions that they don't even listen to our answers. Sorry... rant off.

Hope your reaction is feeling better soon, will cortisone or antihistamines help?

I'm excited...our rebuilt Academy of Science is opening in Sept, and they have a preview day for charter members...the whole place just for a few of us. I've been a member of the place since the dinosaurs were live, so I'm first in line.

Hi, Boom, hi, Tom!

Yep, I'm home this weekend. It's our policy to do pretty much nothing on three day weekend. The road SUCK around here on holidays...FORGET Monterey...so we just enjoy where we live.

We were watching a special on the SAR team in Yosemite last night...made me think of you guys, since part of it was swift water rescue.

The Academy building is sooper dooper...I've been watching them build it for a couple of years and can't wait to see the inside.

Gail, you and lightning...what is it?

CB we watched that last night and I thought of Eric. It was really cool because I talk with Dave Pope a lot and see Keith Lober's name on every order --- it was really neat to see their faces! What an amazing team.

I think Gail is trying to top Eric's 9-lives story :-)

OOOOH, you saw it! We recognize some faces 'cause the SAR guys camp with the volunteer when they have something going on. But we don't know them.

Pretty dramatic documentary. I was so pulling for the 80 year old hiker...

Eric has climbed a couple of those routes, especially Royal Arches...gave me the creeps to see guys getting evaced from there, but I won't tell him...

Hi Everyone, soccer tourney is over, Brandon's team took second place, they got trophies and back home again. Good to be home. Talked to Gregg in Galveston, Texas, weather there is beautiful at this time, beaches are packed with tourists. No one around there seems a bit worried about Gustuv by
what he said to me. Guess they are used to it? I don't know. Calm before the storm? Still glad he is with Tiff as you just never know with those things.

Got my pool heated to a balmy 86 degrees, it is so nice out in the shade right now. Not sure if I want to cook or take my son out for dinner tonight, will see what he wants to do.

Cynde, I hate hospitals and I really can't stand when they don't LISTEN to what you tell them over and over. Just not right what they did to ya. Soft, gentle hugs to you.

Larry wanted his bags packed, plus scuba gear this weekend. So we did all that.

Cyn, what did you have to have done? I'm feeling distended, like my tummy is poking out not matter what. I've eaten one meal the last 2 days, each day. Starvin' is not doing it. What? what did you have done? Was it an emergency thing?

Tonight's menu is....steak stir fry. lol Nothing but low cal from here one out. Veggies and a meat. NO BREAD.

Timmmmmy, was that you or DFW this morning? I was thinking, "Timmmmy cut his hair". Let us know.

I took my extensions out again tonight. My (thin) hair is below my shoulders. Maybe till Christmas and that's it.

Hi again Gang :-)
My friend has had her fill of Quickbooks and fled with her life; LOL!!!
The laundry is almost complete, the sun has come out and Guy is due home by 7pm :-) :-)
I've just got grocery shopping to do then the afternoon is my own!!!!
Thanks for the prayers Kobi, we haven't been able to get ahold of the family but they have the resources and the brains to get out of harms way. I just pray their home doesn't get flooded out. Guy's brother is a master craftsman and has rebuilt 2ce already - each time with more artistic woodwork and leaded glass work. Just hard to imagine all those poor people having to leave freshly re-built homes.
Can you believe these storms - there's another one behind Hanna!!!! OMG!!

Ok, so I finally saw what was wrong with Cynde...oye!! Since I work in the medical field (just clerical end) and have several friends who are nurses, I can see how this boo boo could occur....often the nurses are not the brightest pennies around and the doctors rush, rush, rush depending on others to look out for stuff for them...and even the great nurses are overworked and overwhelmed pulling short-handed, extra long shifts...not making excuses mind you, just explanations for how such a DUMB and PAINFUL thing could happen...

Hope you heal quickly!!
Hugs to all who need them...

So, I've got pictures and will send a note to the hospital admin and let them know of the boo boo...I'm just hoping it heals quickly as I only have so much time to take off from work.

Jerry, NOT feeling so fresh...not one little damn bit!!!!

Cynde, you got a case there if you go see a lawyer, might be a good idea, luckily, that BooBoo was not life threatening, but someone should be held accountable for such things as the next person may not be so lucky. Shame things have to go that way sometimes, but what may seem like, oh well, it could have been worse, take these meds, is not good enough. We all pay good money for hospitilization costs, I feel so bad this has happened to you. You have had your share of bad things a lot lately, time for some good things to come your way. Speaking of that, HUGS coming your way ((HUGS))

Hiya Ladies :-)
No worries on the car - the window is fixed (hopefully correctly, I don't think the guy cleaned all of the glass out of the door - if it makes noise and/or scratches he'll be doing it again!), I got to spend the day with Guy and Antoinette (which wouldn't have happened if my original plans had gone on - I'd have been out working in the hood), and nothing of big value got stolen (I'll report to the local Red Cross chapter on Tuesday about the ID's but I doubt the thieves will be surreptitiously volunteering undercover - maybe though with the hurricanes coming!).

Holy Moly though.... can you say HOT FLASH????!!!! I'm going kookoo here today for some reason. Sheesh!

Well we're home from the WallyWorld jaunt! You'd have thought the hurricane was bearing down on VA! Actually the store appeared like it had already hit. Lots of bottled water gone; bread isle wiped out WT?!?!
PS, you would be proud of me! NOBODY got hurt LOL :-) I really hate dealing with that store and it's customers sometimes!

We have a Kinetico water filter system so didn't need the water for home but were going to tote a 24 pack to the beach this coming weekend. Will shop later in the week at an odd hour to ensure I get the last few items I need.
It's end of the month so the peeps that get their assistance checks got them and hit the store hard!

We always pack a "box" of things to take to the beach. Not sure why but it's our fam tradition LOL! When my sister and I were little we always had the "BOX" in the back seat between us or in the way back of the car. One time, during a drive to FL, my sister started whining "I don't wanna eat out of the box again!!!" LMAO :-) It also had snackie food stuffs in there. We have laughed about that dam box for YEARS.

Sooooo a few weeks ago, when she was packing for their beach trip (Rylan's first beach trip), what did my sister pack!?!?! THE BOX....LOL!

I have already packed the typical stuffs I don't want to pay inflated beach prices for.
Now if we can just remember the beach chair and umbrella's we'll be doing great :-)

Debbie B., congrats to your son on his soccer win!!!

Boom, sorry about the HOT flash! Jerry would be proud of ya though LOL!
I have only had ONE that I can call a flash; earlier this year. Can't wait to get to the doc this coming week and fine tune my engine :-) Will get going on the bioidentical stuffs when we get home from beaching.

Hope you don't have a rough night with that stuff :-(

Thanks guys, sorry for the rant...I won't sue, I'm not into that but I will send a letter with pictures to the hospital, along with a pic of my wristband they had on me with the listed allergy...I'm not sure which hurts worse, the surgery area or the friggin reaction/blisters/burning/prickling skin area (a lot of surface area)...

Boom, sorry about the hot flash...

ok, back to trying to lay down....

Cynde,
Healing hugs to you!! I am hating that nobody paid attention. It's like what's the use in telling anyone is NOBODY's doing their job?!?! I'd be miffed too to say the least. I hope you'll heal up soon; in both areas!!!

I'm sore just thinking about your pain :-(

Cynde, That is a good idea, I mentioned seeing a lawyer as if the Hospital gets a letter from an attorney, they tend to pay more attention than from a patient. Don't have to sue, just shows you are very upset and rightfully so and want things like that to stop occurring before someone else may have a worse scenerio than yours.

Hey Kobi, you crack me up with WallyWorld, I have to share something, when Gregg was going to the airport the economy parking lot was full, imagine that, it is huge, well, he has to go to another one close by to park and guess what the name of that was? WallyPark! When he called and told me that, I thought he was pulling my leg, all I could think about was WallyWorld. LOL!

Cynde, Feel free to rant away, omg, that's what we are here for. Hope the blisters and all heal soon for you.

Today, I watched my son, Brandon do a header for a goal! That was so cool. This is soccer now for those of you who may not know what the heck I am talking about. He did good and this soccer mom was pretty darn proud. Thanks, Kobi. I am soccered out right now after two days of it though. Felt so good to be home, no having to get up early for the soccer field tomorrow. Sleeping in and then some light food shopping, going to just chill out by the pool and have a bar-b-que tomorrow for Brandon and me.

Gregg is doing good in Texas getting Tiff's apartment furnished, now he has lots to put together to keep him busy for quite a while. Her college is running like normal tomorrow. She has classes, so I guess they don't expect Gustuv to go that far south? Or maybe it will hit that area the next day, not sure, still freaks me out.

Enjoy tomorrow with your son! We're going to ride the dirt bikes tomorrow as we lounged a lot today; it was good to be lazy :-) I need to get clothes and other things ready for the beach. Who knows we may be going NOWHERE thanks to Hanna or whatever's lined up out there next! VERY active weather right now.

Hopefully they'll be safe and dry in TX!

Kobi, Gregg told me that the weather was great today, beaches were packed with tourists. Hope he got a chance to get wet and cool off, he's been working hard down there.

You have fun with the dirt bikes tomorrow. When are you going away? Tomorrow is my lazy day, a whole day off work, that is nice, gotta go, Brandon and his friend are going for a dip in the pool and you know how teen-age boys can be, have to keep an eye on them, without them knowing it, of course. :-)

Oh, these boys, testroserones gone wild in the pool they are! Going to drive me crazy with all their antics out there.

Just talked to Gregg, missing him here at home. He won't be back till Tuesday night, that is if planes are flying out after Gustuv touches down.

Cynde, if you are still out there, Gentle HUGS to you. May tomorrow be a better day with the healing process.

My son goes into the hospital on Wednesday to have his knee operated on, ripped his nimiskus, and I will get to watch my granddaughter when he is in surgery so his wife can be there for him. Looking forward to some Lydia time. He's in quite a bit of pain, so will be glad when it is all fixed. This will be his first surgery, he still has his tonsils and appendix.
