Hubby leaves for Galveston, TX. tomorrow and he is supposed to flying back right when Gustuv hits. :-( My daughter is supposed to flying out the next day, also same time to fly to Pensacola, Fl. to see her boyfriend in the Marines graduate his bomb school, they have a big graduation, been in training for this for past year, wow, year flys by quick, but not sure either of them will be able to fly due to Gustuv. Hope it just stays way out at sea, not looking good, I am also worried about Tiffany as she is pretty close to where it is supposed to hit. At least her dad will be with her till Tuesday. Will know more as time draws near.

Good Morning Debbie :-)

Tea for me please :-)

Was a good day off yesterday :-) Beached it for a while then Janessa & George went for a dive at The Ponquogue Bridge :-) Les was supposed to go too but unfortunately business got in the way :-( This was her first "up north dive" (other than a quarry when she got certified) & she really enjoyed it. They saw lots of BIG blackfish, seabass & an array of other cool things. Blankets of starfish & a very large spider crab.
They were cracking up at all the people fishing on the bridge & saw that they were all in the wrong spots......but they'll never tell!
Thanks to Freddie for the use of some of her dive gear & George for guiding the way :-)
Well, back to work for me today

Wishing everyone a great day and BIG Hugs to all

Hugs

Debbie - I hope too that Gustuv stays far away from land!
Ditto that on Tabasco :-)

Hey Debbie, I hope Gustav doesn't mess with Gregg's or Tiffany's travel plans.

I'll take a cup of that coffee, hell let's just take the pot outside and drink until we vibrate:-)

What the heck is going on, service work slacked off a bit and today I get in here and find Pam took in enough regs and cylinders to keep me busy for a week - NOT FAIR. Then again, like so many of yo., er, us, if I put as much work into doing what I get paid to do and less time on this board while my boss is paying me, I might accomplish more - THHHHHHHHHHHHPPPPPPPPFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT YEAH, LIKE THAT IS GONNA HAPPEN.

Oh well, I guess I need to run to the parts store and get a new bottle of Armor-all:-) Got new cylinder VTI stickers this past week. The verbiage states (in part)

"This cylinder has been inspected by a trained professional and has been deemed to be a cylinder on the date stamped. This inspection is possibly good for a while, upon which time this cylinder must be inspected and again deemed to be a cylinder." GOTTA KEEP IT REAL YA KNOW:-) ROTFLMAO ahem - sorry.

Freddie, looks like the ultrasonic cleaner will be busy today:-)

To all of you dealing with REAL issues - HUGS. To any that are having a tough time with "Luxury Problems" I feel so bad for you:-( (Did the frowning "smiley" make my sympathy talk seem real? No?!?! Dang it I will try harder another time.)

Sorry if I seem harsh but, besides the people on this board who are themselves dealing with life threatening issues or those of their friends and family members, or the loss of same, one of our employee/friend's cancer has spread into his bones and he again got the "get your affairs in order" talk yesterday. Another friend (my closest brother from another mother and father) while he is now at home is turning yellow (liver) and was told yesterday he is NOT a candidate for transplant because of other medical issues. Both of these guys are "Enjoying Every Sandwich - Savoring Every Day"! When I hear people crying over little s**t, ya kno, the extras that money buys and they can live without it makes me want to dope slap em. (can I say "em" here?) One of my neighbors caught me as I was leaving home this morning and was HAVING A CRISES, really his eyes were red and his voice was trembling (then again, if I woke up next to his wif....... STOP IT BEAU) because one of the rear tires on his riding lawnmower was flat. I was so overcome with sadness that I almost cried with him, I mean how awful his life is today and all. Decided instead to tell him he could use our tire pump or push mower. Beau almost added he could use the mower but had to provide his own gas. Beau can be mean spirited too ya kno, he told me not to offer the guy the use of my air tank and filler attachment. I think he wanted Mr. Whiney to sweat a bit, pumping up his tractor's tire or pushing our mower. Sweating is good "Therapy" ya kno.

RANT OFF - FOR NOW!!!

Hugs and yaddah, yaddah, yaddah........

Good morning Debbie, Judy and all to follow.
Debbie, does this mean your daughters boyfriend is "da bomb"? :-) Good luck with their flights and stay safe. I'm looking forward to the daily Tabasco picture, too. Maybe Krispi will follow suit and post more of her new kitties, too.

Hi Tom. You snuck in on me. :-):-)
Judy, sounds like everyone had a great time diving yesterday. I wonder what the big black fish were.

More of the same for me today at work. Meetings and more work than the four of us can handle. But we'll get through it.

Morning Pat, You're so nice to offer your place to Debbie's family during the storm. Hubby and I go thru this stuff (hurricanes) every summer, and can appreciate such offers.

Tom, More (((((HUGS))))) to you and your peeps. When something BIG like that happens to a loved one all the other stuff seems so trivial. Oh, you can slap your neighbor for me. :-)

Thanks, Pat! That is very sweet of you to offer. Her dad will be there till Tues, maybe longer if Houston's airports shut down, so I feel better knowing he will be with her. I am sure he will have a game plan if the storm hits Galveston. I will tell Gregg what you said. BT folks are just amazing! :-) Enjoy the rest of your vacation on island, Pat!

Patrick, hugs to you, hope you're feeling better! Tom, every one of us knows where you're coming from! As some of you know, I lost my very close cousin, Calvin, to suicide in July. Our families spent every Summer together at Martha'S Vineyard, along with our other cousin, Sharon. I'm still having trouble dealing with it. We've all known someone or been someone afflicted with cancer. There's so much heartache , & that's why it's so comforting to know we can always come here and feel there are friends to help us. We all pray for Kaarien. I haven't been here in awhile, can someone give me an update? Pegi Sue, Tabasco is adoreable!!

Kayla & I are going out "dive computer" shopping today. It's Rafe's 16th birthday tomorrow. I just don't know WHAT to get him and I found one that would be good for him. Easy to use, wrist model, that way he still has his gauges for back-up 'til he learns to listen and pay attention to his computer. I hope he likes it. Now to just get him diving more!! Heck, I need to be diving more!!:-(

I'm not complaining, I'm just trying to get this thread going again...

I love shopping for dive stuff. :-) Have fun with Kayla today! I miss shopping with Tiffany. She is always trying to get me to wear the "in" stuff, says I need to be updated. I just try on the stuff and laugh. A woman of my age just doesn't look right in some of that stuff. I stopped showing my belly button off a long time ago. Now, if I had the body and shape of my daughter's, I might, just maybe be able to pull off some of those outfits. LOL!

PS, the Blue House is for sale, they are still renting it out, but it was vacant the whole time we were there this past trip. Can't believe folks are building houses next to it too, as it is at sealevel, one good wave surge and it will all be underwater. Guess it would work if you don't use the lower level. pic

Yes Kobi! For real, we had 4 brothers, too, one lost to lung cancer. The other 3 boys stay close, but not so much as us girls. Two of them came down to the beach on Sunday, so I got to visit with them and my SIL's for a while too.

Great pictures Gail. That's one large family. Your mom was a very busy lady!!

Yes, I've been pretty busy at work. It was decided by the BOT that we "can" the Gift of Life Gala. Too much energy and time for the 4 of us. It did generate lots of $, so we've been brain storming trying to find alternate ways to replace the $$$ lost. Got to find charities of choices instead.

Yo, Yes, meeting games would be good. The boss was flicking a wad of paper thru the director of grants goal post fingers. :-):-):-) Does that count? :-):-):-)

Goodness....I SO love my sister but if I was growing up with more than just her somebody would have gotten hurt :-) Especially when one of them went and cut the hair on my Farrah head LOL!
I can't believe I owned this thing!

OK, so who else had one of those things?!?! Tell the truth?!?! :-)

I am trying really hard to think back on my younger days and I can't remember ever playing with dolls. I was a Tomboy through and through. I remember going to Peter's brooke and catching bull frogs, will never forget it, as when I came out of the brooke, my legs were covered with leeches! I, being a kid, had no idea what they were, thought I was gonna die, the mile and half walk back home with blood trickling down my shins was so long. I sure did put my mom through a lot now to think of it. She handled it quite well, think she actually felt sorry for me as she took each and every one of those little buggers off me. I discovered why folks wear waders that day. They are not just for fishing.

Bill, aren't pups funny when they see themselves in the mirror? Ginger actually growls at herself, then runs away! :-)

Kobi, sorry about mentioning the froggies then. :-(
I actually did a science project in school on the life stages from tadpole to adult, hard thing was trying to keep that dang tadpole a tadpole before the science fair, had to keep going to get more.

It was worth it though, I got third place! Got beat out by some kid who did something with seeds, how boring is that, I thought mine was so much cooler. I did release them after the fair was over as my parents wouldn't let me keep them.

No problemo about the frogies :-) Have a great afternoon, Debbie!

I need some GPS advice! We want to buy one for one of our cars and not sure what's the best for the moolah. Anyone have one that they think is Da Bomb?! :-) We're going to Circuit City in a few, at lunch, to just be nosey and have a looksee.
