Good Morning, who say marvelous that way anyhow, I can't remember?

Well, work day for me. The weather is supposed to be so-so here, but seems ok right now with the sun barely starting to rise and it being 64 degress...the BEACH sounds like a better idea than work, but alas....

I survived my first weekend without Andrea home. She seems to be doing ok, but sounds a little bored in her emails. I'm sure that will change once class and homework begins and she makes even more friends. Her and her 3 roommates seem to be getting along well.

By the way, I've been lurking alot this weekend...PS congrats on your new kitty, you are a good woman and hope Henry is doing well!! Welcome back Kobi! and hugs to all who need or want them.

The new kitten, who's new name is TABASCO, is evil!!! I'm sorry, I just can't look at something that's growling and hissing and call it Jacques Cousteau!! I've never seen anything, other than a rabid cobra-possum-tazmanian devil and I've seen so many of them!!!, that is this mean! Calypso and Spice will not go in the same room as it. And George is getting pretty leary... So am I...

PS, give Tabasco a few more days, bet he will stop his hissing/growling a little each day, all new for him, I had a kitty that was like that when I got him home, stopped after a week, he was pretty much a loner, but he got to liking me after a while and made friends with Ginger, they even slept together sometimes. It's always hard when a new animal enters the house.

Eileen have fun with the pop-up, we had one for years and beat it up pretty badly. Many fun stories/memories. One recommendation, lots of indoor/outdoor carpeting, you never have enough.

P.S., our big guy Riley F'line was also a little hisser. We (humans and Boris alike) showered the little terror with love and now the big dude is one of the most laid back and loving cats we ever had. In fact Riley now DEMANDS laptime from his Momma,ear kisses from me and Boris, well he and Boris are the best of buddies. Hang in there girl, you will be rewarded.

p.s. P.S. I like "Tabasco" better than Jacques anyway. Imagine how the other cats would pick on him through the window screens. "Oh Jacques, suchth a machoth nameth." but they would never mess with a dude named "Tabasco"

I was looking at the sky this morning and saw the clouds going the "wrong" way!!!!!!!!!!!
So I went to have a look at the satellite images and saw this storm sitting directly north west of us.
After some phone calls I found out that the storm which was brewing yesterday hit Curacao full and Hato Airport had to closed from 4pm yesterday afternoon till 5.30am this morning. What a mess.
Everything is almost back to normal again, except for the clouds, they are still going the "wrong" way.
Aruba is getting it now but the real heavy activity is on the northern part of the system which passes right underneath the Dom. Rep. now.
It's not yet clear what this storm is up to but let's hope it will behave.

Bette, Hang in there! Sounds like Fay decided to pay you a visit. Speaking of visits, did you and RA & family get together? Any pictures?

Had a real good time with RA and the kids yesterday. We found the pool a lot safer 'course the waves were hugs yesterday.

I like his new name alot. It's so fitting. I guess we'll try a few more days. I've noticed that giving him time alone, not being carried around all the time is helping. He's getting used to me reaching for him when he's in the crate, not hissing and growling quite so much. But he gets very scared if I put him down on the floor. Then he just growls the whole time. In those pics he's laying on a washcloth, he's just tiny, so we'll do Baby steps...

PS at least he doesn't look like this poor cat.

MORNING peeps

Survived the weekend with Rylan! The girl finally had her FIRST birthday partay It was REALLY fun. It was a pool party with lots of my sister and brother in law's friends and their kiddies. Will have pics shortly; Mom has them on HER camera as my dumba** forgot mine.

We had cookout food & a keg LOL! Rylan's first party was with a keg and I have pictures of her with her hand on the spout LOL!

Back at the paying gig this morning and not happy to be here. Enjoyed time with my Mommy, sister, Rylan and brother in law though Step Dad was out of town & BIL had to work Saturday night SO it was girly time this weekend. Didn't even take my black belt for retail therapy; saving moolah for the beach in 2 weeks!!! WOO HOO....cannot wait for that.

Rob did well playing Yorkidad this weekend. No on starved; him included LOL!

PS, your new feline buddy is AHdorable I hope he will adjust; I am sure he will with all the loving he's gonna get in your house!!! He's a cutie though. His name is great!!

I have been busy trying to organize an AWARE cleanup at the lake I frequent (Dale Hollow). It turns out the Corp already has a yearly cleanup on the books for the 27th of Sept. (AWARE's Official international day is the 20th) So I am joining forces with the corp and other organizations on the 27th and trying to get divers involved. Should be great!

PS, this was an older cat, around 10 years old, so his "pattern" was set. i think since tobasco (little sh$t) is so little, there's hope.

No gators in the pool, yet!! Lots of algae from all the rain tho...we had to keep the pump turned off because all the leaves were clogging it. So, today I get to have a science project w/ chemicals!! What fun!!!
