Hi Judy! Still got today left, our gas off day. We are going to try snorkeling CAI today. Had a bit of rain last night, but sun is out again now. No wind at all, very muggy. Can't dive, but got to get wet and say Hi! to some fishes. Found out this time of year is great to snorkel over there. Will give it a try. Went over to Yellow Hut/Hidden beach far south yesterday, saw a school of pretty big permits. Nice! Water there is so calm, like a sheet of glass. Oh, we won't even talk about the five foot barracuda I almost swam into! Biggest one I saw this trip. He certainly wasn't missing any meals.

My Life...full of drama!!LOL
Sorry yall, it's just always somethin'!!

Today Henry is acting sick. I googled turtle diseases and I'm almost positive he has pneumonia. So, I found a vet here in town that takes care of turtles. We have an appt. He hasn't eaten hardly anything for 2 days and is really stuggling to breathe. I love my little Henry, so off we are going to see the Turtle Doctor:-)
He'll be fine. I know it, 'cause he knows I love him and he loves me. Ask my mom, she says she can't believe a turtle can have a personality, but Henry does!!:-)

Hi everyone. :-)

I woke up this morning and stepped out on the lanai to the most gorgeous rainbow. I didn't get pics as it faded fast, but Larry sent me some on the cell phone. I don't know how to get them from there to here, but they are gorgeous!

Sunny here, too. Maybe, just MAYBE I can get in the pool today. I hope.

Off to run some errands, everyone have a great Saturday!

Hi all, I'm back. First let me thank Linda for the phone call!!! That was my first link to sanity I've had since I left!! Ok, Henry has pneumonia very bad. He weighs 13 grams. He has to get a shot every three days of antibiotics. That will be fun!! I get to do this to him... I've got him in his old plastic bowl right now on a heating pad. No, I'm not cooking him, he needs to be very warm and in SUNSHINE...it's raining!! So, I have to get him a UV light to put over the bowl for now. Then get him a larger "habitat" that has a filter and a heater and the light. Plus REAL sunshine...I'm just gonna take him to Bonaire and we will live happily ever after. We may have to do that...Cause George is gonna KILL ME!!!!

I'm standing in the vets, waiting to pay, and this homeless woman is at the counter just freaking out..."I called the police and they said I should just throw it back into the woods!! I just can't do that and they wouldn't let me on the bus w/ it!! What am I supposed to do??" So the vet girl says "We have too many animals that have been brought in today, and don't have any room to put it up..." So, stupid me says "What do you have???" Oh, it's a tiny little kitten that she found soaked in the woods. It's maybe 5-6 weeks old. So, sitting on my lap, drying from it's bath because it stunk like Jerry's relatives, is Jacques Cousteau! He is toooooooo cute and so little and Calypso just thinks he has a new squeeky toy!!LOL

George just called and I told him about Henry, then Jacques...he had to hang up real fast, said something about work...Do I start packing my things now? Or wait til G throws them in the yard tonite??LOL

He'll be fine w/ it. I hope. If there is a problem I will take him to the Humane Society. But I could not let that woman carry him around in a box anymore. Or throw him back into the woods. And that's what she was saying she was gonna do...

Jerry, and I know you turned the air conditioner off too:-) rotflmao I know how you feel about having your stuff moved around - it stinks. Get up, go to bathroom start brushing your teeth and realize "HAYTH THITH ITHINT CWESTH, ITH PEPPARATHON AYTH." Our woomin are jus plan cruel at times.

P.S., Sorry about Henry but happy that you will take care of him. HAPPIER THAN PIG IN MUD THAT JACQUE FOUND A GOOD HOME:-):-):-) Every lap needs a cat. Am I right Carole B.?

Ohhh, PS, I'd have done it, too. A neighbor 2 drs down has kittens, and I've been watching them frolick. But I swear one of them is what an Osprey had in his talons yesterday. :-(:-(:-( They pick off baby ducks and HUGE fish around the lake all the time.

Sorry 'bout Henry's sickness. Have we SEEN Henry? I might have missed him. I was just worrying about your gopher tortoises yesterday!

It rained again just now. argh But it's still early. Larry wants me to take our tanks and fill them so he can dive tomorrow. I'm bowing out. I can live some weekends without diving, and just taking care of business and relaxing. :-)

He said he's stopping on the way home to look at a boat. He said it's very nice, and only $1,300. Hmmmmm. That would be nice. There's a place at the end of our road to put in a boat in the Alafia River where it runs into the bay.

OK, guess I'm gonna go fill the tanks. See ya'll later!

The vet made me feel very good. She just couldn't get over how well I take care of him. She wants me to call the fish and game people and get a license to have him. Seems you are not even allowed to have them anymore. She said they will not take him from me. He's out on the porch now, in warm water, on the heating pad. I can't wait to give him these shots!!LOL He's tiny!! And to make him understand that I need his arm, front leg, out of his shell...right!!LOL

Here's the first baby pics of Jacques Cousteau!:-)

Jacques Cousteau and Calypso, reunited again!!

Jacques Cousteau is a beauty! Definitely a keeper. NOBODY could throw that precious baby back in the woods.

Pouring here AGAIN. I worked outside for an hour and a half, before getting run inside with the latest round of thunder, lightening, and rain. I was hoping to get out and do a little more clean up. but Mom Nature is not cooperating. And I only got half of the front yard cleaned up. UGH. I needed bug spray too, because every thing was still wet and I was kicking up the mosquittos.

Hi Everyone, been a really good last day on island, totally missed the rain everywhere we went. We sure got it last night, but I was sleeping, so no problem. Went to CAI, saw some huge parrotfish, schools of chubs and lots of other big schools of assorted fishes, some tarpon, water clarity due to the rain the night before was on the cloudy side, but still really nice. Did our last snorkel at Tori's reef today, saw two eagle rays feeding in the sandy area, nice! Saw town getting hit with rain, but LBR managed to miss that band. Glad, as I had clothes outside drying. Anyway, off to the airport to see if they will let me pay my departure tax today or not. Got my boarding passes for our CO flight all printed out, but I am aware they will not accept them, but I believe we got really good seats on the way home, lots of leg room. :-) Tonight, it's either Pasa Bon Pizza or a Lion's Den Burger, ahhh, decisions, decisions...

OMG...Jacques is soooo cute! Ok, I have been wanting to capture this for a while. I have Purrseus (aka: Purrsemoose, Tankamoose, Purrsetankamoose) and Sasha (aka: peanut). They are both tiger tabbies, but he is huge and she is small. Both are full grown.

Family photo

That is Loki in the foreground. He is probably my longest cat. I can't belive I finally caught the two of them together. What a size difference!
