Well Friday has rolled around again. Where does the time go??? How are all the Floridians fareing? I lurked later on yesterday, but there was alot to catch up on.

Thanks to everyone for their supportive words, hugs, etc.... in regard to my moving my "baby" to college. All went well and I actually felt good and safe leaving her there. I miss her, of course, and am hoping she makes wise decisions and I do still hate the fact that my "mothering job" is almost over, but....I am very, very proud of all three of my kids and will try to savor the moment and enjoy the next stage of life....:-)

Hi Donna. :-) I haven't been able to post much lately, but wanted to say I know how you feel! My daughters didn't go away to college, it was local, but when Heather married and moved to Phoenix I cried for days!

Gusty and supposed to rain all day here, but nothing bad. Crystal River (where the manatees are) is going to get hit pretty hard today though, before this thing moves out into the Gulf again. I dunno, the craziest of the computer models always seems to be the right one, and so this one may go to New Orleans if the pattern holds. :-( Hope not!

Ah well, off to work soon, and it's my last half day on the summer schedule. But I changed my normal schedule to 7:30 to 4:00, so at least I'll get home earlier every day. Got used to the 7:30, though not much time to play in the mornings!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Morning! T'is my last day of diving, :-( doing Fish Hut south I believe after the guys get up. This trip went by way too fast as usual. I love diving this time of year on the south side so much, but two weeks is just not enough time. Will have to come back again for sure. :-) Will be meeting Bette at lunchtime here. Looking forward to it! :-)

Good Morning all!

I have to play catch up too, perhaps tonight or tomorrow night. Today is the last morning for Quinn's morning camp and we get to see what the kids did. Joel is going to a stag tonight and will not be back until tomorrow. So I have the kidlets and getting ready for my sis's shower tomorrow morning. Bit crazy here right now!

Hugs to those to who need them! Hope everyone is safe and well! I hope everyone on Bon is having a blast!

Morning everyone! It's windy, dark and getting wet this morning here. My drive from Palm Harbor to St. Petersburg was wet with sprinkles, and my truck was buffeted around driving over the bridge. Lots of whitecaps on the water. :-) If I could still windsurf I would have called in sick today. :-)
Donna, Hang in there. Your daughter will make good decisions, and the hollidays will be here before you know it. Love the kitty pic.
Debbie, Make the last dive day count - I know you will.
Kathy, Good to see you post, and with your new schedule we should see more of you.
Eileen, Have a good day. Sounds like you're going to be very busy today.
Pat, Safe travels and we'll see you on the other side. Make BIG signs if you pose at the cams.
MORNING PATRICK!!!!

Ready for a groaner??

The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street (pronounced Peek-A-Boo) is not just an athlete. She is now a nurse currently working at the Intensive Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital. She is not permitted to answer the hospital telephones. It caused too much confusion when she would answer the phone and say,

Picabo, ICU.

Good Morning Everyone!!!:-)

Do I even need to post anymore about this storm?? Are all of you groaning "NO!! YOU DON'T!!!"??? Well, I am!!LOL

Our yard is so flooded! It looks like a lake. And the water from the front has made a creek running to the back, so the "workshop" "shed" is under water. Our toilets are gurgling...that can't be good!! The driveway up to the garage is under water. And it's only got 1/4" til it gets to our front door. Not good. And the rain isn't going to stop anytime soon!! Please sent the boat...
Partay Barge to Pegi's!!!
Please stock up on Brights:-):-):-)

BH - I am not even VENTURING that way. I don't have to leave town to get to work and you couldn't PAY me enough money to get over there. Now of course if I had free tickets and a hospitality suite then it might be different. LOL!

Think I'll stay in Kingsport this weekend. Besides we have a 12 and a 9 miler to do - no time to run to Bristol. However, last night was Food City night and the drivers were out on the town - I really did want to go to see my FAVORITE NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya. I loved him in Formula 1 and he's really the only reason I watch NASCAR.

Ok - back to work - I got things to do here... now, where the heck is the vodka for that jello????

Hello everyone, I hope those of you in Florida are doing well in spite of Fay's wanting to hang out. Okay now we have to add hurricanes to the list which included fish and company. You know the things that stink after a couple of days.

Note: the only exception to the above list is Jerry's inlaws. Jerry enjoys them so much he is thinking of putting an addition on.

Hi All! Back from my last dive.... It was a really good one. Eagle ray, southern ray, two turtles, which one came right up to Gregg and Brandon's face mask while they were taking pics. That was so funny, he was so curious about those guys and their cameras. Lots of other cool fish was seen during the dive too. A little bit of everything.

Denise, No, the guard crab is on vacation I think. We do have lots of iguanas on the property, pity, they ate all the leaves on my big bouganvilla bush in the front too. :-( Seems they start eating a bush and keep going. Pieter's new dog, Goldie, caught one for dinner the other day, think I will invite her back again for the other three hanging out here.

Hi Debbie, Sounds like a great dive. I want to be face to face with a turtle.

There are established bouganvilla bushes around the patio where we stay at the Sand Dollar. They attract these cute little yellow birds the size of a chick-a-dee. It's very soothing to sit there and watch them do their birdie thing.

Linda, I think they are chibi chibi birds here. They look like what you describe. We have a family of them in our back yard. They love eating the seeds from our palm trees in the back. Love hearing them sing in the morning while I have my tea.

Iguanas are cool, but they can sure damage a bouganvilla as they love eating their leaves. I have one in my front, it was so beautiful with flowers and all hanging over my fence flowing over down onto the sidewalk. Well, not at the moment, it is bare due to the iguanas dining on it. Goldie caught one and Gregg got another, but when got back from the dive there was a pretty big one sitting by the dive sink laughing at us.
Gregg tried to get him, but he just jumped through the fence, hard to catch the big ones.
