Hi all!! Just thought I'd check in...
The wind is pretty strong and non-stop right now. And the rain is unreal!! George came home early because the lot at work is flooded. As he came thru downtown the streets were flooded and water was coming up out of the drains... We just drained the pool again.
I'm thinking of taking a nap, maybe when I wake up this will be gone. If I sleep for 2 days it might be!!
I'll get the frog legs ready and keep an eye out for a gator!! Bring wine!

I finally have a chance to get here since yesterday AM. Didn't y'all miss me?!?!?!

Had my perm. makeup touch up appointment, yesterday afternoon, for eyes and puffy lips. I now have BOTH again It was OK BUT on the drive home my left eye swelled SHUT!

I drove on back to the office and was in agony for the next 24 hours I had scratched/irritated the inside of my left lid earlier on Monday and figured it would heal up OK in time. Hmmmm.....well after the pressure from my touch up & the numbing cream I had some good ol swelling going on!
My eyelid was KILLING me. I cried like a little b**ch LOL! The procedure, itself, did NOT hurt. The eye closed itself and I couldn't open it on my own; that's dam scary! All this for vanity!

Rob was about to smack the other eye by nights end LOL! Anyhoo...could not post as I sat on the couch all evening with both eyes closed. I will NEVER, ever take my sight for granted again.

I wanted to say HI and that I may not "see" you guys again today.

Hi everybody else..........

Power has started going out along the intercoastal in St. Augustine. I just got off the phone with family I still have there. More inland about 6 miles from the beach it's still on.

Poor Kobi. I feel your pain. Are you supposed to ice the eye? I bet you had a great time with the depth perception.
I lost sight in my left eye for two weeks due to a racquette (sp) ball accident. I was hit so hard I really thought my eye had popped - it was all wet and leaking. Off I went to the hospital.

Oops that's what happens when you type a reply and don't post it for 15 minutes LOL!

PS, stay safe. We are going to call in a bit to the Duvall Home and check on Jack.

Linda, I am mucho better today. I just hate that I had a scratch or boo boo to start with Wouldn't have been 1/2 as painful had that not been going on too! UGH....the one eye thing is just weird. I really couldn't deal with it but I did. I didn't even watch the olympics but I heard them LOL!

Thankfully I have been icing and salving it per instructions and that has saved me I think. The ice is a real HUGE help.

OUCH on your boo boo, Linda! I would have died had I had to deal with that for 2 weeks My gosh you are lucky, girl. Don't play that game anymore LOL!

I will live and Rob just laughs at me and laughs at how vain I am about this perm. makeup LOL! If you guys EVER hear me talking about doing something like this again......SMACK me!!!!

I just had my biggest PIA customer come in and freak out for a while. Everything's an emergency for this guy and then when I move mountains to save his arse he doesn't show up to pick up whatever it was he desperately needed.
I finally got rid of him when my Hollywood stunt guy called and set me up with his producer They're doing a new show called "My Own Worst Enemy" and needed rope to climb down a building OKAY!!!

Of course now I'm waaaay behind!

Since this creature finally made landfall, it's kicked up a notch here. MORE wind and rain, but I can't complain. I still have electric, cable, phone, DSL, etc. And no puddles in my yard. Life is good.

Yesterday, while eating at the Lion's Den, we enjoyed a beautiful light show. A thunderstorm was thundering away a little north of us above the ocean. Spectacular but we were happy we were not in it.
Later that night we were hit by another thunderstorm and this time it was right above us. Our roof is leaking a little and it rained so hard that within 10 minutes a 5 liter bucket was filled right up. About 20 minutes later the moon was out again in full glory. O well, that's Bonaire for you.
This morning we had another rain storm and I was thinking of Debbie and all the divers out there.
Good to see Debbie came out alright and even had the dive of her live
