One bummer - Bruce Springsteen is playing tonight in nearby Hershey. I have attended >125 shows of his since being stunned at a show in December 1975 at the Tower Theater near Philadelphia. This is the first tour where I will miss a show since then. I just cannot handle the intensity of his shows right now.

If any BT'ers are lucky enough to go tonight - have a great time. He's been putting on some great ones over the past several months.

Linda - I will certainly say hi to Sue and Dan. It looks like Eckerd is allowing students back on campus after 12pm tomorrow and classes will resume on Thursday. Let's hope this will be the last for this year (I really doubt it though).

We're getting pretty steady rain now, and the trees are consistantly whipping around. I guess we're firmly within the outer bands. Every station has been showing the nut case in Ft Lauderdale flying on his kite! Oh to be young and stupid again! NOT!

Listen, Freddie, I have tried to get him to a doc for years and he won't go. So, for years my mantra has had to be "his crazy is not my crazy"! Seriously, since I instantly forgive (most of the time) I have a good life. When it lingers, we all suffer.

I'm not backing down this time, talking when he will, so only time will tell. But I'm an EXTREMELY positive person, that outweighs his extreme negatisism. Life IS good. No matter what he feels that's false. And yes, Cyn and Linda, this having to send a 15k check to his daughter has him in a choke hold. He shouldn't have sent it all at once, but he did. Now every penny matters here, and we've had an emergency with the pool. I'm just glad it's almost over. If I wake up before dawn (which I do) and that moon still looks full hanging over the lake, I'm calling in sick.

Turkey is almost done. Apple turkey smells good, for sandwiches.

Timmmmmy, so glad you still have power and I hope the tree damage is not too bad. When Opal came to AL we ended up with 2 pecans and one red oak on the house. Was a disaster.

No disasters with this one, so far. But I'm worried about that pink and light blue far fetched computer models, that send it into the Atlantic where it grows, then it comes back in. But I'll hope not. So far this thing has NOT followed the chosen models at all. It did NOT do what they said it would.

Doc just called with all my friggin' test results...it's what I thought it might be...hypothyroidism...so, she's gonna start me on the lowest dose and retest in 6 weeks to see if we need to bump it up. This explains the friggin' weight gain despite exercise and diet...I can deal with that...LIVER...GOOD...lol...I'm ready for HH! lol!

Hey Kathy - I think my son needs to see a Dr too, but I don't dare approach him. I like my head up there on my shoulders where it's been for 50+ years! Some days he walks in as happy and chatty as can be, and the next time he'll be in this foul funk where nothing is good in his life. I don't know how my DIL lives with that. She writes it off to him being a gemini - two twins in one body. Hang in there and vent as often as you need.

I like that PS - HH will resume before, during and after 5:30, just like always!

When we were at the beach last week, one sister had a very pretty feminine Tee with martini glasses that said, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere". Another sister who is fairly well endowed wore one that said, "I often wish that these were brains"! I loved them both!

Do you all remember Jeanne from 2004? Came up along the coast and turned out to the Atlantic while everyone said "Phew - narrowly missed that one" - and then she turned, gained strength and said "Ooopps - missed Florida! - And proceeded to cross Florida with a vengence! Fay is looking just as fickle!

I keep hearing that, now on all the channels...gonna go out there over the warm water, pick up strength, then come back in. That just makes me say...

BC2, glad to see you pop in. I have been SOOOO frustrated cause I've been working out for an hour and a half four to five days a week, gave up bread, butter, pasta, all the good stuff months ago and was STILL gaining loads of weight...I suspected it might be that as I had all the symptoms...the dry flaky skin is the WORST...looks like I'm old and shedding!

And now I find all that reversed on it's own, and I dropped 30 pounds, and still don't know why I gained them or lost them.....
